Kotetsu Jeef, big in the 70’s and 80’s and another Go Nagai production was particularly popular in Italy, but did not make it far in North America I believe. The concept of a body turning into a head and the various flying body parts didn’t appeal…but looks nice in 3D again. This was one of my favorite childhood toys.

This one is by Angel Nieves, CG Networks, wonderfully done, looks real albeit a bit toylike, is that supposed to be an enemy body part (i.e. decapitated?)

I saw this as I searched for images, unfortunately the original link didn’t seem to work so I saved it from cache so I don’t know who to credit this work to, but it’s obviously a 3D rendered version with ultra realistic photo effects of Mazinger Z, Go Nagai would have been proud!
