Pollution in China
This image from Reuters struck a terrible chord with me on China and the life of China’s next generation. This is a photo of a man cleaning up dead fishes, over 120,000 pounds of dead fish in Wuhan, Hubei province that died due to pollution and the weather. China must do all it can to control this dangerous spread in pollution, before we know it, it will devour our country.
I have made a followup post here.

Ohh and it’s happening all around the world ….

I agree with lutymishima、 it’s everywhere :/
July 13th, 2007 at 5:24 am
yes, but as bad as this?
July 13th, 2007 at 1:04 pm
Don’t agree. Sorry Lutymishima. They don’t have no clean water there. I’ve been there, I can tell. And it’s even worse than anything seems to be. When there’s actual control publication (if there ever is any, because If there’s anything I don’t doubt, it is authorities’ censorship talent) then we’ll have a good laugh that’ll last a looong time. Because laughing will most surely be the only thing left we can do.

But unfortunately there’s a lot of places here in Brazil where people really don’t have clean water, or energy or any help from the government…
What I mean is that all the world is suffering, and the kind of things I see in my country, which really is a third world country, it’s just like or worst than that… ’cause just like happens in China, or wherever in the world, some people can be really rich only by the poverty of others…
July 18th, 2007 at 4:24 pm
This is terrible…anyone now what people in China think about this? Do they even know about this?
July 26th, 2007 at 12:55 pm
Ok, sorry then Lutymishima, this was my point of view as a western girl living in the very preserved french countryside… I didn’t know you where from Brazil, and I didn’t know it was as bad there as it is in China. Things aren’t good in Russia or in India either , so this leaves us with a pollution-concerned BRIC.

What is a BRIC?
I am not sure that people in China know about this, they do talk about pollution but it’s focused mostly on industrial effects.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Pollution in China, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

It is certainly a problem, but I’m not sure you can state it like that, England was the worst polluter of the industrial world 200 years ago, and today it has no forest or trees left. China should not do the same mistake but it would be a mistake to lay blame like that, afterall, what is England doing to help China on this if anything?
