It’s apparently true! Paris Hilton is to be jailed.

For what appears to be a small offense she got sent to Jail for 45 days for violating her probation in an alcohol related driving case.

I’m not a fan of Paris Hilton, she’s done a lot of silly things and while punishment is in order…JAIL TIME? Her Blood alcohol was apparently 0.8 % which according to the alcohol calculator just a few drinks will get you there.

Drunk driving is inexcusable, but a more suitable punishment would have been to do community service in an AA center or something like that. Sending someone to Jail for 45 days really doesn’t teach you anything and while a point could be made that she is not above the law (and her excuse seemed rather feeble) I wonder if that just didn’t simply create a “Victim” publicity stunt on her behalf. She is likely to be viewed very sympathetically when an overly harsh sentence is given to someone that notorious…now she’s a Victim and what will she give back to the community for her actions?
