Hello Kitty comes in all shapes and sizes, and this one looks like a rice cooker but is actually for meat, fish and all that other wonderful stuff!

What I don’t get is all the bizarre angst that seems to be associated with Kitty-chan. On release of the cooker slashgear says: I no longer fear the Michael Jackson robot with laser beams; it’s Hello Kitty that terrifies me.

My guess is he’s a guy, and all I can say is, if the world was Pink and Happy I’d take that anyday to hate and war and being terrified, anyone is entitled to an opinion but this is a Steam Cooker to cook food in!

This is one of those only in Japan moments. In Tokyo’s popular Akihabara Centre a crowd of cool cosplayers were re-enacting Haruhi Suzumiya which is a popular light manga by Tanigawa-san. It’s described as an unusual school story (非日常系学園ストーリー,) and unusual it is.

Anyway, what is funny is that fans went out to dance, and police came to do crowd control, is it all an act or real? You judge for yourself….I think it’s funny.

She’s multitalented, I wonder if whoever is inside can see? Infact, do we ever know who is inside Hello Kitty?? Hmmm…

People Daily’s article discusses China’s new policy on online gameplay to stop the online game addiction. The system is as quoted:

The government yesterday issued a regulation, which takes effect on April 15, demanding online operators set up a “game fatigue system” that encourages players under 18 to play less than 3 hours a day.

It’s interesting because it creates an in-game incentive for people to play less, but MMORPG’s are just not the kind of game system that will work, it means that 17 year olds are always at a disadvantage to 19 year olds or up. I also think that it will cause a massive case of fraud reporting on real ages to circumvent this.

Sanriotown has launched a competition online, the prizes are pretty decent, jewelry, a video camera and a photo camera.

I never properly blogged about this but this idea I think is great. Why Disney never made one I don’t know, but a Hello Kitty airline is the perfect thing I would take children on, I don’t know what they did inside, but the thought of flying happy cute and cheerful is just the thing that economy fare travellers need to brighten up their life! Why is flying a plane always so dull and monotone, I don’t get any joy out of a plane ride…if you can make it into an amusement ride at the same time, now that’s interesting.

The quality really rocks!

I’m playing around with slide.com, it’s a pretty cool tool to create simple slideshows with…

hello-kitty-pave-ring.jpg

From Nieman Marcus, the price puts it at approx. 34,000 Hong Kong Dollars (4,250 USD) . It is a very cute jewelry design and there is something very cute yet attractive about it. It’s a lot of little diamonds making up 1K so I guess it’s a lot of design value there, now how much would you give for a 1K that was shaped like Kitty?

• 18-karat yellow gold.
• Pavé diamond Hello Kitty®.
• Bow, pink pavé sapphires. Nose, yellow citrine. Eyes, onyx.
• 1.0 total carat weight.
• 1 3/4″.
• Imported.

Another funky Hello Kitty Gadget, if you haven’t got enough pink in your car yet, this is for you! Now we just need a pink IPOD or a Hello Kitty IPOD feature and we’re all set!
