Dec 24th Silent Night
We ate some pizza and bought some more food at MOS Burger. After lunch, my kid had to work again! We paid for doing wall painting. The staff took photos of my kid and taught him how to pose. Not many people queued for the pilot lane that time, so we tried to queue there. We stayed on that line for 50 minutes! Luckily we got the Nintendo DS with us.

Dec 24th Silent Night
I made a reservation online to Kidzania half year ago. We went for the morning session - 10am to 3pm. We walked for 30 seconds from Sunroute Hotel to the Shinjuku line. It took half an hour from Shinjuku to Kidzania (290Yen). Kidzania is on the 3/F. It was 10:10 when we arrived, so we didn’t need to queue. I showed a printout of the email confirmation to the staff and they checked by visa card (I paid online so I kept in mind I had to bring my visa card). We went to the pilot area but it would take us one and a half hour to queue. Therefore my kid went to photographer’s area instead – queued for 30 minutes only.

We had a ride of the train game, then had lunch at the kids restaurant. It didn’t have a lot of choices but theme parks are all like that. We wanted to go take the 3:15 train (to go shopping in Shinjuku), so we just played some games and left (Thanks god there were not many visitors so we didn’t need to queue). If we missed this train we would need to wait for the 5:00 p.m. one. Actually, the transportation fee was not cheap, but we just spent 3 hours in the park. Anyway my kid liked it.

We had to choose Thomasland over Disneyland during Japan’s public holiday because Disneyland must be very crowded that day. I asked my son in the morning about the situation and agreed to go to Thomasland. Fine! Let’s go to Thomasland then. We departed from Shinjuku at 10:30a.m. by JR, it took 2 hours to get to Thomasland. We bought a kid’s pass for my son, it costed 2,500 Yen only, and I had registered myself on the internet to buy a ticket.
We went inside the train and it departed in 2 minutes after.

How time flies! We went back to Tokyo this day. We had breakfast and played at the snow outside the hotel, then packed our stuff and checked out. We went to the New Chitose Airport by Rapid Airport early because we all wanted to shop there.

We went to buy some souvenirs at Tarukikoji 6 which offered 10% off and duty free. After that, we went to eat crab and prawn. We made a reservation for a table and there were only one waiter and one waitress who could actually speak Mandarin. We wanted to order 2 cheaper sets and 2 expensive ones, but the restaurant only allowed us to order the same sets, so we chose the expensive one (5,250Yen per set). For our kid, we have to pay 109 Yen times the age (e.g. if my kid is 4 year-old, the price is 109Yen x 4). We only got 90 minutes to have the dinner, but it was not enough. We stopped ordering Hairy Crab as it took us too much time to eat the crab legs. I liked crab with more meat. This set also offered tempura crab and prawn. After dinner, it was snowing, so we went back to the hotel by taxi.

The hotel’s shuttle bus was ready at 11:25 a.m. and with us, it was already full (9 seats only). When we were passing through the Otaru station we saw some snow! Anyway, we arrived in our destination, Sapporo, and left our luggage in the hotel. We then had a walk in Daimaru, Stellar Place and Esta. We even bought something in Akachan. My kid had lots of fun in Namco!

I actually didn’t have to get up so early this morning but I wanted to enjoy the private hot spring pool before breakfast. It was until 11:30a.m. that the hotel provided us a shuttle bus to go back to Otaru JR Station. I had breakfast at the same place as the dinner last night. I took some photos and again enjoyed the pool before leaving. I had actually bathed at the pool for four times in two days. My sister said her skin became much better after bathing there.
Finally! I saw the sea.

It was raining since 4p.m. I spent some time in the music box store while my sister tried to look for a cap. We then went to Otaru JR Station and booked a shuttle bus at 5p.m.. When we arrived, we tried the private hot springs. Sun was already set so the view was not very good. We had dinner in a French restaurant at 7:30p.m. and it was nice (especially the bread). Comments on this restaurant were not good on the internet, but in my opinion it was very nice. After that, we went to have a look at the outdoor hot springs. It was not very special so we chose to enjoy the one in our room. We watched TV and then went to bed after.
