Day 2: Chiba+Drum Festival

One of the reasons for us to visit Tokyo is that my brother is studying here! His school is in Tokyo, but he lives in Chiba. We need two hours to get to there. Anyway, my brother’s Host Mama invites us to visit Chiba and she even prepares lunch for us! Yeah!

We don’t want to be late so we arrived 30 minutes earlier, and my brother also arrived early to meet us at the station. This station is not special, but we take a picture here happily.

Host Mama prepared Udon for us and after lunch we headed to Narita! We didn’t know Chiba is not close to Narita and we spent almost one hour to get to there. The Host Mama becomes a tour guide and brings us to a street where we can buy Japanese food and snacks such as sausages and rice balls. This place is really like what I saw in the Japanese animations when I was a kid.

Many visitors here!

When I am looking at how people prepare the rice, the rest of my team are buying the rice balls! Hey guys, we have just had lunch!

My mum is attracted by the rice crackers!

We see many shows here such as drum and drama.

This is the place for the drum festival tonight, so we take a picture here with the Host Mama.

It is the 1070 anniversary of Narita San, no wonder auntie said this year’s festival is grand.

The drum is so big that they need a machine to move it.

As the tickets are sold out, we can only stand and see the show. We arrived 30 minutes earlier for a good position. The show is two hours long and we didn’t leave until we see the biggest drum! This performaner did a one man show for at least 30 minutes!

When we leave, we see a different style of the street with candles!
