I recently watched the movie 10 Promises to my Dog/Inu to watashi no 10 no yakusoku (犬と私の10の約束).

The story centers around a girl named Akari and the Golden Retriever she grows up with named Socks. The day Akari adopts Socks, Akari’s mother (pretending to speak for Socks) has Akiri make ten promises to the new puppy. As Akari becomes an adult, she becomes very busy with her career and relationships and so on…and drifts further apart from her canine friend. Will Akari remember the promises she made to dear Socks?
I have to say, I really enjoyed this movie. The plot may have been a bit predictable but it was still a very well-done film. I liked the theme of how our relationship with our pets and animals teach us about our relationships to other people. The photography was beautiful and the music was very relaxing.

Warning: This movie IS a tearjerker. Oh my god, I was a sobbing wreck by the end of this. *eyeroll* Of course it takes very little for an animal movie to make me cry, lol.

This is probably the first anime show I ever watched. I didn’t know what anime was at the time but started to recognize the style. I was probably around eight years old or so and it was shown on Nick Jr. I remember it being a very fun and relaxing show to watch.
Anyone else remember Grimm’s Fairy Tale Classics? What’s the first anime you remember?

Lovin’ Hello Kitty Online. *(^O^)* It’s a game that really seems to attract people of all ages. I’ve been pretty busy keepin’ an eye on my eight month old puppy and cleaning my room which is a disaster area. But I did have a couple of late-night gaming sessions (completely losing track of time) and it’s quite fun. There’s lots to do. I chatted with some people…went surfing with Kappi…chased beasties about with a magic wand…hung around in Purin’s coffee house…lol. (^_^) Good times.

Oh the odd things you can find while cleaning your room.

Here are some things I found yesterday:
My Mothra Tamagotchi. (Sing with me! “Mosura ya Mosura!”)Though I think the awesome package it came in was thrown out. (T_T)
A random can of pears. (Where the heck did those come from?)
Box of all the Sailor Moon graphic novels. Whoo-hoo! (*^_^*) Unfortunately, I wasn’t to careful about packing them away and some are very bent up.
Hermit crab shells, though I haven’t owned a hermit crab in years.
A Witch’s broom I used as a costume prop in elementary school
Ju-On: the Grudge DVD which I thought I lost.
Make-up from at least ten years ago. Hmmm…that can go in the trash.
Well, some fun finds indeed. *giggle* Though I am kinda sad about the lost Mothra package and bent mangas.

Here are a couple of fun graphic novels.

Saint Tail is a cute story about a magician thief named Meime who steals objects people have aquired dishonestly and returns them to their rightful owners. Always on her trail is Asuka Jr., son of detective Asuka. The story is also about the romance between Saint Tail and Asuka Jr. (who doesn’t know her true identity).

Very funny and random short stories about Di Gi Charat, a princess from another planet who now works as a mascot in a game store called Gamers. If you like odd, random humor, you will probably like this. ^_^

Hi all! While waiting for the HKO beta, I’ve been checking out other games from Aeria. Shaiya the fantasy MMORPG is a lot of fun so far. The controls are not overly complicated and the setting is very beautiful. I’ve also downloaded an action shooter called Wolf Team which I didn’t really get to check out much yet but seems like a blast. You get to play as a human or a werewolf. :-D Can’t wait to really sit down and play it. So yeah…check ‘em out. The next one I’m going to try is LaTale which is an arcade style MMORPG.

This is my little cockatiel Sydney. She is about five years old.

She love to sit with me while watching TV and eating snacks. (She is very fond of potato chips though I don’t know if they are that good for her, lol). Yes, she will watch TV but prefers to listen to music. It seems she is a fan of Enya especially, hehehehehe. XD

You know how sometimes out of nowhere you start remembering movies and so on from your childhood? Well, yesterday, I recalled Unico the unicorn. When I was young I used to watch “The Fantastic Adventures of Unico” and “Unico in the Island of Magic” all the time.

For such an adorable little guy he has quite a sad back story. **POSSIBLE SPOILERS** In the anime, Unico’s power to bring happiness to others angers the gods who believe that only they should decide when people are happy. They order the West Wind to banish Unico to the Mountain of Oblivion but she hides him instead. In the manga and the pilot episode of the TV series (which was never picked up unfortunatly) he is the pet of Psyche. Venus, jealous of Psyche, orders the West Wind to take Unico away from her. In both cases, whenever Unico starts to make people happy again, he is taken away by the Wind. (I’m sorry if I got any of this wrong! ^_^;)
I’d love to see a re release of the manga. *^_^* Does anyone know if the DVD release includes the Japanese language track? (I don’t think it does, but I’m not sure.)
