Hiiragi Keiichi // Usamimi Kamen

Name: Hiiragi Keiichi / 柊恵一
Nicknames:
Usamimi Kamen, Sempai-san, Hiiragi-shama
Series: Onegai My Melody

Age: 17 (not official age)
Birthplace: Yumegaoka City, Japan

Personality: Your average, rich, spoiled, overly talented, self absorbed, pretty high school boy. He rarely acts nice towards people unless he’s getting positive attention or wants something. He seems friendlier around women, for obvious reasons. His many skills include violin playing (as well as any other stringed instrument, including the piano), painting, martial arts (Akido), and other various sports. Hiiragi is easily angered when rubbed the wrong way and is prone to turning violent, but only shows his violent side around Kuromi, Sebastian, or Jun.

He prefers not to speak about his past, personal life, or family. Especially if it concerns My Melo or Kuromi.

History: Hiiragi was pampered while growing up because of ability to play the violin. (Which is the reason his younger brother, Jun, dislikes him so much.) He’s the most popular guy in school, as well as the music club. He led a regular life, until one fateful day, he met an evil bunny named Kuromi. He helped her create dark power with his violin playing, which creates black note, capable of transforming items and people into monsters. Because he was obsessed with his violin playing and the rush he got from the dark energy, he would play every night for her. A pity his close fangirl and potiental crush, Yumeno Uta, was friends with My Melo.

Eventually, the dark power took control of Hiiragi’s body and transformed him into a monster, more powerful than any of Kuromi’s creations. My Melo’s powers alone weren’t enough to stop him, and the King of Merryland entrusted My Melo and her humans friends with the power to defeat the evil spirit. As usual, the powers of good triumphed and Hiiragi returned to a normal human… but the trouble he caused would not go unpunished. He was sentenced to become a Baku, but the Queen managed to make the boy’s original punishment less severe and told him he had to make up for his evil deeds. With little choice in the matter, Hiiragi was forced to become Usamimi Kamen, a pink hero dedicated to love and justice, whom would help aid My Melody in collecting pink notes and defeat the evil monsters. He would have to be cautious of his actions though. If he refuses or acts bad towards My Melo, he would lose points on redeeming himself and be transformed into a Baku.

Finally after many (embarrassing) battles and with the support of his new friends, Hiiragi was able to finally redeem himself by saving his little brother, Jun, from the power of evil he had experienced. After that, the Kurukuru Shuffle card My Melo used to summon him and his butler, Sebastian (aka Hitsuji Kamen), became useless. But My Melo wasn’t ready to give up Usamimi Kamen just yet.

After learning about Uta and Kakeru’s relationship, Hiiragi was slightly heart broken and decided it would be best to distance himself from her, try to get away from My Melo, and work on his education. He, with Sebastian and Jun, left for France and he now resides there, occasionally being summoned by My Melo, although against his will.
