LA designer Dr. Romanelli has cooked up a sweet collaboration – four Hello Kitty VCD (vinyl collectible doll) figures done with Sanrio and Medicom.  Each of the figures has a medical theme including a nurse, two  featuring stomach cut-aways (all smiles of course) and another one with “medical stripes”. Due in January 2010!

Danke Shoen - 100% Free Exhibition

Japanese online bear store Danke Schoen have invited 15 Japanese artists to create original one-off work for the 100% Free Exhibition which will open on April 4th and run through the 19th @ Stitch in Tokyo. Each artist will base their creations on the Danke Schoen mascot bears and the ‘100% Free’ theme. Participating artists include such familiar names as  Touma, Shin Tanaka and many more.  All the artwork will be available for sale during the show.

Stitch, from the popular Disney animation Lilo and Stitch will soon be customized! See how today’s great artists, designers and customizers work their magic on a blank Stitch vinyl provided by MINDstyle.

The participating artists include: Buff Monster, Secret Base, Tenga, Suiko, Cameron Tiede, Triclops, Reactor 88, Motorbot, Brent Nolasco, Chris Ryniak, DEVILROBOTS, Mad Barbarians, Touma, Colorblok, Matias Vigliano of Doma, Peek-A-Boo Monster, Hans Bacher, Kathie Olivas, Brandt Peters, Mori Chack, CJ Metzger, Ron English, Miss Mindy and Mizna Wada.

The tour kicks off on November 28, 2008 at the MINDstyle LIFEstyle creative space, 2nd Floor, Delay No Mall in Hong Kong. The tour will then travel throughout 2009 and the final stop is Hawaii. Yup! The setting of Lilo and Stitch.
