For Sanrio’s Three Apples show celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Hello Kitty, Huck Gee created the lovely  Hanami Afternoon.  This one-of-a-kind custom vinyl figure features a hand-crafted kimono and umbrella giving Hello Kitty a stylish touch of Huck’s contemporary take on Feudal Japan.

LA designer Dr. Romanelli has cooked up a sweet collaboration – four Hello Kitty VCD (vinyl collectible doll) figures done with Sanrio and Medicom.  Each of the figures has a medical theme including a nurse, two  featuring stomach cut-aways (all smiles of course) and another one with “medical stripes”. Due in January 2010!

Mimoco has just dropped their first Hello Kitty Mimobot, Fun in Fields. Done in conjunction with the 35th anniversary of Sanrio’s iconic character, this is the beginning of the  Hello Kitty Mimobots collection.  The anniversary festivities will culminate with the Three Apples art exhibit @ Royal/T on October 23rd featuring custom Hello Kitty figures from a top-flight roster.

Mimoco has just announced a high-profile licensing deal with Sanrio to produce a series of Hello Kitty flash drives featuring the iconic character as well other well-known related characters.  First up, the Hello Kitty Apple Mimobot to coincide with the 35th anniversary celebration.
