Submission Guidelines

1. Create a SanrioTown blog account.

2. Users must use their own SanrioTown blog to write about their own travel experiences and related photos.

3. Each entry must include at least one picture taken or drawn personally by the SanrioTown members.

4. Name and URL address (http://blog.hellokitty.com/traveltheworld) of Travel the World Event must be shown in the entry.

5.  Entry’s URL address must be posted via the “Comment” section below to be valid.

6. Members can submit as many entries as desired and all entries will be considered by SanrioTown as long as it meets all the guidelines described above.

Where is your favourite place? Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo? Louvre Museum in Paris? Or is it Surfer’s Paradise in Gold Coast? No matter where it is and where you have just been travelling to, we welcome you to share your travel experience at SanrioTown’s first ever Travel the World Event.

Share your bits and pieces from your wonderful trip, from the yummy food you tasted, to some little gadgets you bought, or nice scenery you saw. Submit pictures along with a description about the trip and share with everyone at SanrioTown!

One blogger will be chosen from the pool of articles every month and be featured right here on the official Travel the World blog as an official winner along with other prizes!

You will need a Sanriotown account with the blog service subscribed to in order to participate in this event, so if you haven’t done so - sign up and activate your blog service now!

1.  How do I start a blog on Sanriotown?

All you have to do is click on the green tab named "BLOG" on the Sanriotown toolbar at the top after you logged in and you are ready to start blogging!  If this is the first time you activate your blog service, you will be asked to accept a standard Terms of Service.

2.  How do I get the URL of my posts to place in the comment section to enter the contest?

Once you have finish composing your post, you can visit the main page of your blog by clicking on the link besides your blog title.  Once there, you can click on the entry post you have created and use Ctrl-C to copy the address shown on the address bar and use Ctrl-V to paste into the "Leave a Reply" comment box shown in the Join Now! post.

3.  How do I insert a picture into my post?

In the blog edit / "write" mode, you can use the Upload function under the main writing window to upload your picture via the "Browse …" button.  Once you have finish uploading, you can use the "Send to editor >>" button to insert the picture into your post. 

If you have an URL of image you wanted to use, you can also use the "Insert/edit image" button on the main writing window toolbar ( ) to insert a picture.

4.  How do I resize a picture?

You can either resize your picture using a photo edit program such as Paint before uploading, or edit your image’s property using the same "Insert/edit image" button ( ) to control your image’s size.
