Cute vs Classy

mywardrobes_lld_0061pin.JPG mywardrobes_lld_0054whi.JPG

I went shopping last weekend and bought quite a few dresses, and instead of doing damage control, I decided to buy more online. I am so depressed and in need of true love I want to spend everything I have in my saving account and leave this world in peace. I was down to these two dresses on one of the online websites that I always visit, and both are really cheap. The cute pink one is SGD$16 and the classy black and white one is SGD$20. I bought one of them. Guess which one!?

Things to do in Paris

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Two weeks ago, the bf bought a travel book on Paris but I have yet to look through it thoroughly so I do not know any other popular attractions in Paris other than Eiffel Towel, Musee du Louvre and Arc de Triomphe.

Then yesterday, I was told to look out for the places that I would like to visit. From the first few websites I visited, I gathered that the six attractions that are not to miss are Eiffel Tower, Musee du Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Centre Pompidou, Cite des Sciences at de l’Industrie and Musee d’Orsay.

With more findings, other well-known places of interest are:
–> Palais des Congres
–> Champs Elysees
–> Champs Elysees Cinema District
–> Musée du Quai Branly
–> Bois de Boulogne
–> Palais de la Decouverte
–> Notre Dame
–> Botanical gardens Jardin des Plantes
–> Eurodisney

Frankly speaking, I do not know how to pronounce any of the above attraction names other than Eurodisney and ironically, we are not going to Eurodisney and that is for sure. Hmpf.

Talking about hmpf, I really hate this. I have been looking for cashmere/wool tops for the past few weeks but nothing of that sort came up. Then less than 3 days before I leave, I chanced upon these on some online website:

The prices are reasonable and I do not even mind paying the small delivery fee but guess what?! It would take 3-7 working days for the goods to be delivered to my place! Sigh, never mind.

hello kitty BRA shop

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

I was contemplating between hiding the word or accentuating it, and decided to accentuate it. How did I know about this shop? I was not searching for hello kitty BRAs if that is what you are suspecting!! I am too young for BRAs!! Then how did I know about this shop? I heard about it from someone (of course!!) and decided to search for it online so that I can blog about it (that’s all!!). It turns out that there is only a Chinese website linked to it, or at least all the outlets seem to be in China:

Oh, I love this map which I got from the website!! Look at the labels!! Hello Kitty’s ribbon!! I am so fascinated by the idea and I wonder why default labels on maps are always inverted water-drop or some boring looking whatever. Every map should use Hello Kitty’s ribbon as their labels!! Okay, I am so random so back to my original topic. As I have explained earlier, I was not looking for hello kitty BRAs but guess what? I happened to chance upon these…

…while accidentally browsing the catalog on the website. I think they look nice. What do you think? Should I…eat broccoli tonight?

Seriously, I am so confused. What are all these doing in my computer?

To me, she is perfect

Is she real? By the way, I like the dress, be it pink or blue, it will surely look very diffferent on me. I come to realize that dresses that look nice on display do not look nice on me anymore. Sad.

Dressies, Fictions, Sashimi

mywardrobes_psd-0001gra.jpg mywardrobes_psd-0001bla.jpg

I went to the online dressies shop again, and fell in love with their new dressies! I just love their dressies, and no, I am not going to buy them all. I think I will place an order for the above gray dress some time next week. What do you say?

mywardrobes_llb-0049apr.jpg mywardrobes_llb-0049red.jpg

Look at these nice flowery dressies! I would love to have one of these but I think I will look sucky in a tube-dress and flowery prints is just not my style. So I will give these a miss and will just stick to browsing. Or what do you suggest?

sandra_brown_hello_darkness.jpg I must have mentioned this a dozen times, but I really like Sandra Brown. She is one of the greatest authors I know, and I am really addicted to her books. Once I start reading one, I just have to finish it because it gets so exciting and I have a soft-spot for excitement. HAHA! Hello, Darkness, the latest fiction from Sandra Brown which I had just finished, I read it every morning when I had my breakfast, and every evening before I went to bed. Now that I have finished it, I feel so lost. Should I go to the next one? I have one last Sandra Brown book, unread. I dont hope to finish it by Thursday because I want to take it to KL with me but I feel like starting it now. Hmm, I am thinking of starting a Sandra Brown book & Cappuccino club. HAHA!

Did I mention that I had Japanese food with some cute guy yesterday? You wouldnt believe my luck. Anyway, I hope to go to Sakura one of these days. Sakura is a Japanese buffet place in SG. Just look at their mouth-watering, tummy-widening, face-enlarging, arm-roundering, thigh-squaring, very evil pictures:

Boo Boo Boo.

Buy, buying, bought

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

My first online purchase:

Here it is:

I am very pleased with their service. I transferred the required amount to their banking account on Tuesday, and I got my dress by Saturday. It was delivered to my home address, is in perfect condition and even has a double layered inner linings, as promised in the description of this dress on their website. Coolx. Only thing that I am not very happy with is the length of the dress. It is too short. I can only blame myself because I already knew the measurement of the dress before I placed the order. Anyway, it will only be too short for work.

Man, I think I am very a bit addicted to their dresses. I just placed another order for one of these:

Okay okay, I know you want to scream at me for spending my last cent on dresses. Even if you dont want to scream at me, I want to scream at myself. So can someone save me from this? Save me by buying the dresses for me. Nono, kidding. Sigh, I think I am quite lame on Sunday evenings. Anyway, the dresses are pretty cheap and I still dont get how they can get such cheap stuff.

The one I just ordered, is the black dress set. It is actually a sleeveless dress and comes with a jacket. So what you see in each picture belong to a set. You can wear the dress with or without the jacket. It looks like a one-piece dress even when you are wearing the jacket. There are four different colours, namely, grey, white, black and beige. Actually, I like the grey one most, but I dont look good in grey.

In love with dresses

Hello Kitty Nails

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Look what I found from the internet. Hello Kitty nails!!

My new hotsy, ANNA SUI!

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Anna Sui is an American fashion designer. She was born in Michigan, USA, and grew up there. Since young, she had wanted to be a fashion designer and had started living her dreams by dressing up her dolls and her neighbour’s toy soldiers. During her senior year in high school, she received a scholarship to attend Parson’s School of Design in New York.

After graduation, Anna Sui worked for several sportswear companies. In 1991, she had her first runway show. She paid Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista in clothing to catwalk in her signature style. In 1992, she opened her first clothing boutique in New York City. The shop has purple walls and red floors! In 1997, she opened her first store in Tokyo and in the same year, she opened her second store in Osaka. Soon after, she opened stores in other parts of Japan. In 1998, she opened a boutique in Los Angeles. Subsequently, Anna Sui boutiques and stores appeared in many parts of East Asia and Western Europe.

In 1999, Anna Sui launched her signature fragrance and cosmetics.

I hope I am not boring you (and especially to WHJ, I know this is not as interesting as Gashapons and pvcs (by the way, what is pvcs?), I will talk about you in kimono some other time, ok?). I have never really liked a fragrance and cosmetics brand until Anna Sui. For one, Anna Sui’s eye glitter actually smells very nice. I have had lousy experience with yucksies-smell cosmetics, and it’s worse when it’s a lipstick! I once had a lipstick that smelt like Nippon paint. Yucksies.

Oh, I love these cutesies:

Not that I have any of these. I just find them cute!

Actually, I think it is quite scary to have a Dolly Girl in your bedroom. Especially when it’s dark outside and you think you are the only one in your bedroom. With those eyes staring at you, you dont know what is real and what is not anymore. And before you know it, it starts to inch towards you, eyes never leaving you…

I think that is why I dont have a Dolly Girl!!
