Awww! I am going crazy! This is so, so SWEET!! Awww! And, and the backrest of the sofa-seat is a HELLO KITTY HEAD WITH A RIBBON!! Awww! And, and they serve really nice desserts with Hello Kitty shaped chocolate fudge and other sweets stuff! Awww!

  3. ripplecloud Says:

quick go eat the head, I mean cake, in the holidays! :D

  4. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Hi lily! Yes, it is and the interior is so, so cute! I couldnt use those pictures because they are quite picture-specific and they are not mine…

bong! I can understand your ‘frustration’. I think the franchises are in Japan and Taiwan. What do you plan to do when you say that you are trying to have it in the Philippines? Call it SanrioTown Cafe! Woots! :D Put tiffy’s face picture on the serviette.

ripplecloud, yes, I am so looking forward to that!

More reason to go to Taipei! ♥

  6. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

That’s so cool! We used to have a Hello Kitty Cafe here. They even have Hello Kitty-shaped gelatin. XD

  7. lilybethflame:hellokitty.com Says:

I wounder why these don’t try to spread to other parts of the world? Do you think it is to encourage tourism?

  8. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

tiffy! Yes! I think when you are in Taipei, you just eat, eat and eat.

fairlady! That’s coolx. What happened to it?! I think not having at least one Hello Kitty Cafe within every 1km is a crime.

lily! Yeah maybe their franchise cafe business is too expensive to sustain…

  9. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

Sadly, the Hello Kitty Cafe here is already closed. :( I think it only lasted for a year. The location wasn’t that bad, it was inside one of the big, popular malls here. It was probably very expensive to maintain it.

  10. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Yeah, as expected. We have never had a Hello Kitty Cafe before, I think, but we used to have a Snoopy Cafe in one of the shopping malls in town. The interior design was cute, and it had a gift shop selling very genuine PEANUTS stuff but the overall business was pretty bad, and it closed down shortly after.

I guess the Japanese and Taiwanese exhibit a different level of craze when it comes to supporting their cartoon idols.

  11. msmisery:hellokitty.com Says:

Ah, they look nicer than the HK mooncake ‘heads’ i’ve seen around the malls the past couple of weeks. Probably yummier too. XP

  12. White-haired Journalist Says:

So, who’s the Hello Babe? XP

Oh and LOL! I laughed so hard here:

Ah, a joke! Erm, why did the penguin cross the road? BECAUSE WHJ WAS ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE PENGUIN NEEDED TO FLEE!!!

    WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

But no. The answer is: Cause she can’t climb the stairs to the o-v-e-r-p-a-s-s. Small penguin legs. (chuckle)

Oh yeah, as tiffy said, i think I remember seeing a Hello Kitty Cafe here too. I wonder why they removed it after 4 months of establishment. Bad business maybe, but I often see a lot of people go there. :(

Hey ting, I already made a reservation for 3 in Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe. Care to join me and my hun? XP

  13. amethyst_lover:kuririnmail.com Says:

But what if I don’t want to just eat eat and eat!

BTW, regarding my Cafe Bola post. The last pic, the guy behind me, glas.ses guy = drummer boy. The guy I’ve been crushing on for years :p HEE. You poor eyesight you!

And why am I not surprised you chose purple for nailpolish? XD I’ve never had purple nailpolish before! Maybe it’s time to buy one! :o

If ever, I wouldn’t know which school I’ll end up in in Japan. I’ll know as soon as they call me for results :p Yups, they use Japanese in schools there, probably :o

    WO DE TINGAL!!! :p

  14. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

msmisery! Nice to hear from you and why does your nickname contain the word misery!? Awww, HK head mooncakes!!?? NoSanrioTownbody is allowed to eat HK head mooncakes ok! This is an order from tingal!

WHJ! Hello Babe is Hello Kitty! She is my BABE! :D Actually, she is everySanrioTownbody’s BABE ok! This is another order from tingal!

OH NO! Small penguin legs! And WHJ, you did not mention about the overpass! You!!!

Ah, that’s sad. Good business but still not good enough to sustain the business. Maybe the owner had an overdose of cuteness and could not take it anymore!?

You did?! For when, the reservation at Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe?! Of course, I am going!

  15. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

All my friends who went to Taiwan, particularly Taipei, told me that they did nothing much except eat, eat and eat. I could not believe it too and I do not particularly like Taiwanese food.

Ooooh! I did not notice that, and you were having lunch/dinner with him!? Awww, does he know about it? Why do I find it hard to have a crush on somebody these days? Everyone around me turns me off one way or another, one day or another. I think I need a more peaceful life to start liking people again.

You should purple your nails! HAHA! Oh, and light green looks nice too but I do not think that I am hip enough for green, dark or light. I am too old for such hip colours.

I was looking up on Tokyo University some time ago and I was pretty surprised to find out that all their courses are still in Japanese, and that if you want to do a course in the university and do not know Japanese well, you will first have to attend their Japanese foundation courses.

    WO DE TIFFY!

  16. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Guess what?! I am going to Desaru (Malaysia) in two weeks’ time. Anyone heard of that little island?

  17. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

    Wow! What’s in Desaru?

  18. ripplecloud Says:

I couldn’t stand the street food in Taiwan… all fried and oily :\ …. but food in the minsu was nice ^^ too bad the Hello Kitty Cafe was not even existing when I visited :(

  19. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

fairlady! Desaru is a beach and resort area in Johor, Malaysia. I will be there for two days, over the weekend. I will miss F1 in SG but well, I am not a F1 fan, and not that I will be needed anyway. Have fun, all YOU F1 fans, and I am sure YOU will ALL do.

ripplecloud! Like, guo-tie and fried chicken stuff, right? There is this little Taiwanese eatery at Downtown East (if you know where it is) and it is near my place. They sell Taiwanese food and mainly the bubbletea drinks. I like their guo-tie and salted fried crispy (how unhealthy can you get?) chicken, but I am not a big fan of those food.

I would be sad if I had missed the Hello Kitty Cafe when it was in business. Oh, if I ever get to go to Hello Kitty Cafe, I will stand outside the cafe, same place as where the photographer of the first picture was standing, and took 40 pictures of the same thing at 2 seconds interval and send each picture to each one of you, my dear sanriotown peeps.

  20. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

Oh wow! You’ll be away from all that engine noise. :D

  21. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Yes, I was wondering if I should have planned for another weekend instead of that week but well, now I am glad I will be away from it. I dont like F1 anymore. I wish I knew more about F1 and the drivers but well, I didnt and still dont. Too bad.

  22. ripplecloud•云云 :D Says:

@Tingal, hmmm Downtown East eh. Not in that area very often though :( “40 pictures of the same thing at 2 seconds interval and send each picture to each one of you, my dear sanriotown peeps.” - ahahaha do that!

F1!! I keep laughing at the the lame advertisements that try to link themselves to the event! e.g. view of Tiger beer bottle with four wheels hanging in the air at both sides… so that it looks like an F1 car - - !

I will probably catch it on TV, just because its a first here… ^_^

  23. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Yes, where part of SG are you staying at? I stay in the far east and work in the far north. Nice place to live and work. Less crowded and no ERP yet! HAHA! Yes, I want to visit Hello Kitty Sweets real soon!

Really? I dont really pay much attention to advertisements these days. Too much of it. Ah, watching it on TV has to be the best. Imagine the crowd!!

  24. ripplecloud Says:

eh, thought they usually put you in a school near the area where you live? I’m staying in the north. We are under attack by whole swarms of tiny migratory birds this month, the floor’s all polka-dotted with bird shit! Every morning, as the morning sun starts baking our good earth, the stink of dried birdshit rising through the air is everywhere… I kid you not :P

  25. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Neh, I am working in a tertiary school. Tertiary schools handle their applications directly instead of through MOE so it does not really matter where you stay.

Ah, really?! That sounds SH*TTY!! Is this the first time something like that happened? You need extra perfume!

  26. ripplecloud Says:

well I vaguely remember this was a natural phenomenon when we first moved here… it stopped for a couple of years and now it’s back again, maybe its gotta do with all those global weather changes, I dunno… creates more jobs for the roadsweepers though… they have exchanged brooms for high pressure water hose ^^

Its actually quite something to see a whole swarm of them converge with another swarm of them above the trees… like on National Geographic … erm, except that they are smaller black specks of birds, not like the larger white birds on TV

  27. Rosie Says:

Awwww, I wish they had one of those in New York, sometimes it’s just not fair!

  28. lutymishima:hellokitty.com Says:

omg those hello kitty sweets looks so deliciousss and cute!

  29. Breanna Says:

Where is it JApan? Tokyo, New York? ?????? :)

  30. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Rosie! I know how it feels! We also want a Hello Kitty Cafe here!! How I wish I could start one!

Luty! Yes! I would like to buy the Hello Kitty cake but I am not sure if I would eat it eventually. She is my love ok!

Breanna, Hello Kitty Sweets is in Taipei, Taiwan. I think there are Hello Kitty cafes/restaurants in Japan but I am not really sure.
