I dont think I have done this before. I am going to blog about this holiday diarily.

Day 1 (Thursday):
Our flight was due to leave at 3:15PM at SG Budget Terminal. We had some good lunch at the airport before we checked in a suitcase. Everything was so neat at SG Budget Terminal. The flight lasted for 50 mins and before we knew it, we were at KL Budget Terminal. It was a very short and smooth flight, and we were happily getting out of the plane and looking so forward to life and such, and for a split second when I saw this long fat queue oozing out of the terminal entrance, I actually felt quite light-hearted about it. What is that? Queueing up for washroom? With passports in hands? LOL.

No. That was the queue for immigration clearance. We had to join the queue not inside but outside the terminal! Can you imagine that? It was so long, and so freaking slow! It took us about an hour or more before they were done with us. Fortunately, getting a cab at the airport was pretty easy and the flat cab rate that we paid before we got a cab was really cheap considering the more than an hour’s ride to our hotel. We were really glad that we got a cab that easily, that it was paid for at the beginning and so we didnt have to worry about extra charges if there was a traffic jam.

Tada! Traders Hotel from the outside of Traders Hotel…

hk_day1_1.jpg

…and my lovely xxx.

hk_day1_3.JPG

After snapping all the necessary pictures of our room, we decided to go for their late afternoon cocktail. You see, there was this really cool deal. We only had to pay an extra RM$45 per person per day for the hotel’s breakfast, afternoon tea and late afternoon cocktail. That is equivalent to three buffets in a day for three days. Initially, I was not that keen on taking up this deal because I thought it would be a waste of money since we would be going out for food anyway. In the end, we had most of our meals in the hotel. Afternoon tea was our lunch and late afternoon cocktail was our dinner. There was just so much food in the hotel that there was no need to step out of the hotel for food! That is exactly what one should do to squeeze into all her tiny dresses! *winks at tiffy*

We were pretty late for the late afternoon cocktail. There wasnt much food left but we managed to get some sushi, some pastries, some cocktail and some fruit juice out of the cocktail bar before we headed out to KL city for some sightseeing and dinner. It was a long walk, and there were puddles of water everywhere. Sigh.

hk_day1_6.jpg

hk_day1_7.jpg

hk_day1_8.jpg

We were trying to look for a particular Chinese restaurant but we couldnt find it so we had dinner at this Chinese restaurant.

hk_day1_9.jpg

The noodles was tasteless, and it was not about the noodles. :(

hk_day1_10.jpg

Day 2 (Friday):
We woke up early for breakfast. I just love the yummy buffet spread at Gobo Chit Chat!

hk_day2_1.jpg

hk_day2_2.jpg

hk_day2_3.jpg

hk_day2_4.jpg

After our sumptuous breakfast, we walked to KLCC mall to get tickets to go to Petronas skybridge. To our dismay, all the tickets for the day were given out. So we walked around the mall, had coffee at DOME and walked back to our hotel. It was time for afternoon tea, our lunch!

I dont remember what else we did after the afternoon tea but I know we stayed indoor in the lounge for quite a bit. It was pouring outside and in the lounge, there was a free computer terminal for use. I facebooked, and watched my blog a bit, and soon it was time for late afternoon cocktail, our dinner!

Afternoon tea and late afternoon cocktails are served in their lounge.

hk_day2_9.jpg

After my 205th sushi, I decided to stop eating sushi for the day. We went one floor up to the skybar. It was so beautiful!

hk_day2_10.jpg

hk_day2_11.jpg

Day 3 (Saturday):
Such a shitty skybridge. We woke up really early, and went to KLCC mall to try to get tickets again and guess what? I thought we reached KL Budget Terminal. The queue was so freaking long. We decided to give up on it. Well, at least the way back to the hotel wasnt draggy because we had breakfast to look forward to. :)

hk_day3_1.jpg

hk_day3_2.jpg

hk_day3_3.jpg

After breakfast, we took a train to KL Tower. Man, I think they have sewage as air.

hk_day3_5.jpg

hk_day3_6.JPG

It was a long walk to KL Tower and the weather was so hot I really pitied those Arabic women. We had some cold drinks at the first cafe that came to our sight.

hk_day3_7.JPG

hk_day3_8.JPG

After we had our cold drinks, we bought tickets to go to the tower’s viewing mall. Woots.

hk_day3_9.JPG

hk_day3_12.JPG

In the last picture, there is this brown building with two towers. That is the Times Square mall. We took a cab back to the hotel and had afternoon tea in the lounge. We were late and I was expecting nothing much left for afternoon tea but that was not the case. The bar was constantly refilled in a slow manner. I like that.

We rested a bit and it was time for late afternoon cocktail. Manz. Why does my holiday seem a tad more fattening when I am blogging about it?

hk_day3_13.JPG

hk_day3_14.JPG

hk_day3_15.JPG

It was pouring outside. Look at this nice picture I took.

hk_day3_16.JPG

Oh. We had wanted to go to the revolving restaurant at KL Tower for dinner on this evening, our last evening in KL, but we were told that the restaurant was booked for the next three days. Seriously!

Day 4 (Sunday):
This was our last day in KL. Our flight was at 4:40PM and we were due to check out of the hotel room at 12:00. We had our last breakfast at Traders Hotel. :(

I ordered mee-siam from the guy behind the buffet bar. Can someone please tell me why their mee-siam looks like this?

hk_day4_2.jpg

So back to my favourites: Olives and salmon.

hk_day4_3.jpg

After breakfast, we went back to the room and started packing. We checked out at around 11:00AM and went to Gobo Upstairs Lounge and Grill. Seriously, what kind of a name for a restaurant is this?

hk_day4_4.jpg

hk_day4_5.jpg

hk_day4_6.jpg

We had our lunch there. Nice.

hk_day4_7.JPG

I like this thing they have in the restaurant to hold the wine bottles.

hk_day4_8.jpg

We left for the airport after our lunch. One last picture.

hk_day1_11.JPG

Man, this is the longest post I have ever written in the last ten years although I only started blogging two years ago.

I went on the Petronas bridge before!!! but not the KL tower… we tried walking there but… we never could seem too reach it although it did look near enough to walk to hahaha… glad you enjoyed the endless buffet… all the pictures made me hungry again… and I just finished my dinner!

  2. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Hello ripplecloud! How have you been?

I understand what you mean when you said that you couldnt seem to be able to reach the tower. We had the same problem too except that we found this forestry something that allowed us to use their steep stairs to cut through the ‘forest’ and get to the tower.

Heh! I love my pictures too!

  3. iheartbadtz Says:

Hahaha, yeah, this is def one of your longest posts.^_^ Aaaand… What’s a tingal travel tour without the lovely food? Heeheehee! Yum, yum!

  4. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

Cool trip! You should make a food blog! XD

  5. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Hee. I love my blog so much I want to hug it to sleep! So silly :X

Sometimes I get so carried away with phototaking, I forget what I really want to do. In fact, phototaking can be pretty time-consuming if you are aiming for the right angle, the right colour, and the right timing. I am really into these. Heh!

Hugs badtzies and fairlady! How have you all been?!

  6. iheartbadtz Says:

I know what you mean! I get so obsessive with getting “good shots” when I’m off visiting places or just when I feel like it.:P I’m doing good, thanks.^_^

  7. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

    Yes! :D

Do you like weird angles or do you aim for symmetry/balancedness in your pictures?

How was your ADVANCED statistics test last saturday?

  8. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

    I’m doing fine!

Oh camera perfectionist! Thank you digital cameras! We get to review everything first before showing the pictures to other people. I still remember those camera film days. All my shots had bad angles. :P

  9. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Yes man! Those were the days when there were no digital cameras. You have to spend money on photographic films, and have them developed and printed after use. How costly is that, and what a chore! I cannot imagine myself doing that again. Think about the time and the money we are saving right now. I can snap 1000 pictures and delete 999 of them. neh neh pu pu. I dont think I have spent anything else on photos and such after paying for my camera about four years ago. Woots.

  10. ripplecloud•云云 :D Says:

1000 pictures = file management issue and running out of disk space… wait a minute that sounds like me…

  11. iheartbadtz Says:

I’m a sucker for weird angles.:P I hate getting people in my pictures though, I’m more of an “object” than a “subject” kinda photographer.XD I’m also obsessive about good lighting!

Urgh. Halfway through the test, I suddenly had a bloody headache. After I finished, I went directly home and went to bed. The next day when I woke up, I still had a headache. Argh. The effects of statistics to my poor head.x_x Getting my test results Saturday. Scared.x_x

  12. tidesong:hellokitty.com Says:

Hi you’re from Singapore too so cool! I never been to KLCC, so nice to see the pictures you took :)

  13. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

Yeah, it’s really annoying when there’s someone who suddenly walks into your shot. *sigh* Digital cameras are a blessing. But like ripplecloud said, file management is another thing. Easier though than having prints made. I mean managing files and backing them up is like a way of life already. Hehe. XD

Hey iheartbadtz, I hope all your pains and sacrifices are worth it when you get the result.

  14. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Ah, I can understand. Poor ripplecloud. I try not to keep more than a picture of each something. If I dont like the picture that I have just taken, I take another one and delete the previous one. That’s what I do to cut down the number of pictures.

Oh man, badtzies. Object and subject! I think I am a badtzies-type. I am not a big fan of having people in my pictures.

Hi tidesong. Nice to meet you. You from SG too? Hee, glad to know that you like the pictures I have here!

fairlady! Yes man. I actually love doing things like managing picture files, and backing them up. It is such a relaxing yet meaningful task, dont you think so?

Oh me too, badtzies. I hope you get a good grade for that. *hugs*

  15. ripplecloud•云云 :D Says:

@Tingal, omg “I actually love doing things like managing picture files, and backing them up. It is such a relaxing yet meaningful task, don’t you think so?” - do you really mean it? This is the one thing I hate… XD disorder rules!!! … until i need something…

@iheartbadtz, take care… hate headaches:(… I love to take pictures with people in them rather than objects, unless I’m travelling, then I’d take more travel-type of photos :) I’m too lazy to care about lighting… imaging having to be somewhere before sunrise or sunset to catch the perfect instant when the light blah blah blah ad then… omg cloudy day…

  16. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

ripplecloud! HAHA! Yes, I love to stay organized, and I give up easily on something when it gets too disorganized and goes beyond my control. I think I have a kind of OCD… :(

Hope your headache is long gone, badtzies. Headaches sux, and you are hearing it from someone who used to suffer badly from constant migraines, at least once every month, each lasting for about a week. It was the most painful part of my life. No medication could cure my migraines until I met this doctor from my university who prescribed me some very strong pill. A minute after I took a pill, I ‘lost consciousness’/slept, and when I woke up, the migraine would be gone and my brain would feel so light and happy. Can you imagine having a happy brain? That prescription was so powerful I got scared of it. For like 3 years, I couldnt find a cure and then suddenly I found something that could numb my brain. Coolx.

Actually, I was talking about travel pictures too, and usually I just aim to take the best picture given the settings. I am not a professional photographer anyway, so when I say the best picture, I mean the picture that looks good to me. I dont go all out to do that although I might snap a few more times to get a better capture.

  17. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

@Ting: I do that to some of my pictures as well. I don’t re-label each and everyone though, I just place them in folders labeled with the date, event, location. I really hate it when my computer files gets all disorganized. Hehe.

  18. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Woots. Yes man! I think both my laptops (one at work and one at home) are pretty organized now. I have been very strict with myself on what to save and what not to. HAHA. What’s with two free hard-disks from work. I get to ‘un-load’ my laptops every now and then.

Next thing I need to work on is my WARDROBE. Yes, you heard me. It is so annoying that my wardrobe is not stretchable. More than 80% of the clothes in there are just taking up space. I dont like them anymore… Argh!

  19. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

Oh that’s one place I want to upgrade as well! XD Tons of clothes, some even unused. I should sort one of these days. I know I have a lot that should be given away already. It’s either I don’t like them anymore, out of season or it’s too big for me. Hehe.

  20. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

I hate to do something about my wardobe. It can be so tiring and because my nose is easily ‘annoyed’ (just like the rest of me, HAHA), I will sneeze non-stop till my lungs are ready to burst the minute I try to do something about my wardrobe.

Some of my clothes are pretty new but I dont fit into them anymore and I dont need to tell you why. BOO. Most others are just a waste of money on my part. :(

Sometimes I think I should just go for a gender change. Then I will be able to live with five shirts, two Ts, five pair of formal pants and two pairs of less formal pants and re-new them every year.

Who needs all the junk I have in my wardrobe! Not me!

  21. darkntwisty:hellokitty.com Says:

I love love the view from the hotel room!! Too bad I’ve never been to the skybar though. Your trip sounds rly fun, tingal. I can’t remember the last time I went up those towers =9

  22. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Yes man! I wish we had gone to more places in KL but it was so hot and dusty…

  23. iheartbadtz Says:

Turns out my teacher hasn’t checked our tests yet.x_x Grawr.

Thanks ripplecloud! Hahaha! You can get good lighting just by changing your angle, so what you can do is just move from where you’re standing when you’re taking the photo or just tilt the camera sideways, upwards, or downwards.:) A little tilting goes a long way!

Oh, and the wardrobe! I know what you mean! I’ve filled two closets of clothes - and I don’t wear half of them anymore! Urgh. Guys have it so easy.

  24. lilybethflame:hellokitty.com Says:

Okay I’m in love with the pictures you took, even the one of the swimming pool. One of the pictures, the one where it was raining, looked like there was mini explosion or something. That kind of scared me until I read your explanation of the photo.

  25. fairlady-z:kuririnmail.com Says:

*nod nod* Guys don’t have to think too much about their wardrobe. Owning the essential pieces is enough, plus maybe a few unique ones to add variety. Gosh! We’re such a sucker for sales and fads that we end up buying stuff we don’t need. Hehe.

  26. ripplecloud•云云 :D Says:

“We’re such a sucker for sales and fads that we end up buying stuff we don’t need.” - this is true, BUT I still need to go shopping because there is nothing to wear despite the cupboard that is bursting with unwearable clothes wahahahaha!

  27. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

badtzies! *hugs* So when will you know the result? Does that mean that you do not have to do advanced statistics anymore if you pass that test? And badtzies! Two closets of clothes!? Wow! I only have one here and I am going crazy with myself!

lilybeth! I am glad you like the pictures and by the way, I love the swimming pool and the ‘explosion’ pictures most! It was pretty rainy and cooling at times.

fairlady! I just realized that I went shopping again last Saturday!!! What is this?!

  28. iheartbadtz Says:

Hahaha! Don’t be fooled: a lot of them don’t fit (since there’s a huge amount there that I bought because of impulse buying x_x or caused by seeing a magical word: SALE). I wish.x_x It’s just our midterms, so I have one project and a test to go! *crosses fingers*

  29. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Oh badtzies! That’s so terrible! What do you plan to do with those clothes? I suppose I could do with some ideas on that because I am not very good at getting rid of stuff that have not been declared as ‘unwanted’.

You have a statistics project? Wow, I have never really done any project related to statistics. Will you get to choose your own project topic? I like it that the overall grade is not heavily dependent on one big fat exam paper at the end of the semester. That would be really stressful!

  30. iheartbadtz Says:

My mom’s asking me the same thing.XD I could always donate some of the clothes to charity or something, I suppose.

Yeah! A stat project! Can you believe it? We have to gather our own data about something we want to analyze and then solve and interpret it.x_x Something like a mini-thesis paper.x_x

  31. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Yeah, maybe I should give my clothes away to charity too. Oh if only I could start a flea stall outside my house. HAHA! Actually it isnt a bad idea.

Oh no, mini-thesis! That sounds like a lot of work! Hope it is more fun for you than you think!

  32. lutymishima:hellokitty.com Says:

My bf has a friend that is at Kuala working, where they work they have a filliate there!

  33. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

They have a filiate there? Erm, what does that mean?

  34. darkntwisty:hellokitty.com Says:

Whoa, if you ladies ever start doing a flea shop, I’d camp outside your house the night before. I don’t think I have *enough* clothes XD

As I mostly stay in hotel these days (LOL, not so much like Serena Van Der Woodsen though), I gave some of my old clothes to the maids who have daughters roughly my size.

Maybe Luty means, affiliate? hehehe idk

  35. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Ah, steffi. You are always welcome! :D

Oh, you mostly stay in hotel? You are talking about hotels in KL right? Hmm, why dont you stay Medan? Do you stay in the same hotel or move around? I love hotels but I cannot imagine myself moving too often. I dont mind packing and unpacking, but it also means that I can only take that much with me.

  36. amethyst_lover:kuririnmail.com Says:

Nyaaaaaaaa wo de tingal! I can’t do what you diiiiiiid! And I don’t like squeezing into tiny dresses! XD

  37. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

    BOOOOOOOO!!

All my non-tiny dresses dont fit anymore!!!

  38. iheartbadtz Says:

Waah! Steffi, the hotel girl! One thing I love about hotels is the breakfast, especially when they give you the gargantuan meal (bread, fruits, bacon, chocolate, juice, and more bread!)

  39. tingal79:hellokitty.com Says:

Ah! That’s the one thing I love too! It is so nice to wake up to that and to know that it is just a few steps away from your bed. HAHAHA!
