… and it is just another unhappy week that will be added to my many unhappy weeks. Well, it really started off well on Saturday morning when I was at my little Saturday shopping spree. Before Saturday was crap, and I was actually naive enough to think that things could turn out for the better on a crap week’s weekend, but I should have known better.
Okay, enough of shxx.
Anyway, my little Saturday shopping spree was done at a few malls in the Central Business District area. It was a Saturday, and I was expecting the shops in the malls to stay open for half a day, and the crowd to come in at around lunch-time or after. I was right about the opening hours of the shops but there was no crowd at all, not even after lunch-time. I guess nobody (other than those in the service-line) really works on Saturday anymore! I love the missing crowd and the ‘exclusive’ items that are sold in the shops there. I found this nice dress shop with weekly imports from Hong Kong. Great! The materials used in their dresses are really worth something; they are thicker and seem of a better quality. All the dresses are double-layered, and I have not seen them anywhere in the shops of those Big Shopping Malls Where The Whole Of SG Seem To Be At (BSMWTWOSGSTBA, manz have you ever seen such a long and useless acronym?). Anyway, I bought 2 dresses from there. Hee. I will go there more often, now that I know where it is. It is a small shop and the service is really good. The salesgirl is really friendly, and she says no “NO”. The shop seems to have all sizes and new pieces available for most of their items, which is something I really like about. I hate it when a shop only has a piece of each item. I know many called that a small business, and if you buy something from a shop that only carries a piece of each item, there is lower chance that you will find someone wearing something you have. But it still sounds pathetic.
Then, I went to a shop called SouthHaven. It has outlets in those BSMWTWOSGSTBA. I was not really interested in browsing the shop, because I did not see a point in doing so. I have visited their other outlets in some BSMWTWOSGSTBA, and I do not really like their stuff. Most of their items are priced at a reasonably affordable prices and their materials are considerably better than others’ but their designs just do not look good on me, and I do not blame them.
But I was thinking, nothing to lose from just browsing since there are not many shops left for me to browse. So, in I went and immediately spotted a few nice stuff which I tried and yes, I was right in the first place, they do not suit me. In the end, I settled for a skirt and they got me a new piece which came from inside a plastic bag that had been underneath some stack of stock. The new skirt was all wrinkled and I asked if they could iron out all the deep wrinkle lines for me using their steam-iron. The lady told me that there are only two of them (she and another salesgirl) in the shop and they do not have time to do that on that day, and that if I want them to steam-iron my skirt, I will only be able to collect my skirt on Monday, earliest. I was very amused because there was no other customer in the shop at that time and the two of them were just hanging standing around, but I was reasonable. I told them that I do not mind collecting it at a later time of the day since I will be shopping around there. I told them that Monday is out for me because I do not work there and I am not going to the Central Business District on a Monday! She insisted that the two of them would not be able to handle the shop if one of them is steam-ironing my skirt. So I told them that I will just buy the skirt from the outlet at Bugis, one of the BSMWTWOSGSTBA since I am going there later, and guess what? She said, “Okay, let me start the steam-iron. You may come back in an hour’s time to collect your skirt.” I feel like giving her a slap on her face kick in her hair.
Next, I bought a…

… Hello Kitty plate and a set of matching fork and spoon!!!
There is a Hello Kitty shop in the Central Business District area! Can you believe it? They have so many nice Hello Kitty stuff and I almost bought the Hello Kitty bedsheet, the Hello Kitty floormat, the Hello Kitty thermo-flask, the Hello Kitty umbrella, and 1000 other Hello Kitty items. After some consideration, I decided to buy only the above three items. When I was looking at the Hello Kitty cutleries on the shelf, I did not notice that the matching forks and spoons also come in kiddo-sized. I took a pair of the normal-sized ones and when I was paying at the counter, something close to catastrophic happened.
Salesboy: Are you buying these for yourself?
Me: Why do you ask?
Salesboy: ‘cos you didnt take the smaller fork and spoon.
Me: -_-
Stop assuming things, ok!?! Hee. After that, I decided that it is about time I have some lunch and almost instantly, I saw this Chinese eating place called Bao Jin Tian, written in Chinese characters. Under the Chinese characters, it says, Bao Today. HAHAHAHA!!! I nearly laughed out loud. Okay, maybe I did. I just could not control myself from being super amused. That is so nonsense! Anyway, I went in to have dumpling and char-siew noodles. Nice!
After lunch, I went to SouthHaven to collect my skirt, and then headed for Bugis to get stockings and more purple nail polish. Such a fulfilling shopping spree!
And then all went downhill…
