Hey, for those of you who read my thoughts on the Christmas Reunion [See previous post], I mentioned that during most of the Reunion, my Medical Mask (formally known as a “gag” for some reason) turned into a beard as seen in the following picture:

Well here’s the story…

When I first logged back on the second day of the Reunion, I found out from the opening screen that the mask changed for some reason.

Yes, I still have a mask on, but it’s a beard now!  >.<

But anyway, I thought that it might’ve been ’cause I logged off close to the game’s maintance period the previous night.  [I was up pretty late that night. hehe]  ‘Cause I also lost of the other stuff, like candy canes, cotton, and more.  T_T

I tried taking off the mask and putting it back on, switch the mask I had on with another mask I got from clobbering lynxes, and even taking off the mask then logging back on before putting it back on.  Nothing worked.  T_T

Then I heard that the newcomer GM-Miyaw was there to help with problems in the game.   So I decided to ask her.  ^_^

She’s been really helpful with the problem.  She even tried on a mask to see if she had the same problem.

She didn’t.  ^_^

So later, she asked me to send her a screenshot of my character with the beard and the pointer towards the Medical Mask icon (highlighting its info).

This is so that they would know what to fix later on in the game.  They weren’t able to fix it for the Reunion, but hopefully they will when the Open Beta starts.  ^_^

I know some people probably liked me better with the beard, but I still miss my mask.  :_(  Especially since it was the main reason why I ended up in the Sailoria guild in the first place.  [See my blog for thought for more info.]  Hope you guys understand.  [I probably might buy a beard from the Item Mall when it comes back up.  If they still have it that is.]

But anyway, just thought I should finally get this problem off my chest.  ^_^  I wanna thank Ms. Miyaw for helping me with this problem.  I hope you enjoyed the game and hope to see you and all of the other gms again in OB.  ^_^

Sorry for the delayed reply.  I hope everybody enjoyed their holidays and got to welcome the new year.  ^_^  But anyway, here’s my thoughts on the Christmas Reunion.

When I last left the game, I was in the staring at the ocean of Sanrio Harbor saying goodbye to the Founders’ Beta in my undies.  hehe  Sure enough, that’s also when I started the Reunion.

Sure enough, my quests officially begin not to far away from that point.  ‘Cause right by the big Cinammonroll statue in the Harbor awaited the character who’s gonna give me the Reunion’s main quest,….

CINNAMOROLL!!!

I later discovered where New York is on the big map:  Just a few spaces below Paris:

Problem is, the designers haven’t fixed those areas that led from Paris to New York yet.  Fortunately, they created a portal to leads to the city from the Harbor.  Which saved me the trouble of going to Paris.  hehe

When I got to New York, one world came to mind:  “Wow!”  The entire town was set up for the holidays, complete with ornaments, snow, and even Christmas music.  Plus the area itself is GINORMOUS!!!

Along the way, I got to meet up with lots of friends that I’ve made in the Founders’ Beta, including my fellow guildies.  X3  And I even got to see some new friends, including my new blogging friend, iheartbadtz.

Sadly, I never got to meet my other new blogging friend Bi ’cause she couldn’t get on during the Reunion.  T_T  But I hope to meet her in the Open Beta.  ^_^

But on the bright side, my friend Rini finally got to join the Sailoria guild.  ^_^  And I’m glad to say that she was able to make herself at home.  XD

But it wasn’t all fun and games in the kingdom of cuteness.  As it turns out, many of the quests that were offered turned out to be pretty hard to finish.  For example, I had to create 100, yes ONE HUNDRED, snowballs from snow that I’ve “harvested” from snowmen in my farm.  (At 25 snow per snowball, that’s gotta be 25,000 snow.)  And I also had to get all of the spring water too. >.<

To make matters worse, my farm was swarming with bugs whenever I came back to it for the first time in the Reunion.  >.<

[”WE’RE BEING ATTACK!”]

It took me forever to clear out my farm in order to plant my farm my snow I bought from the Seed guy in NY.   I eventually made myself a snowman army.  And my friend Yin even invited herself to the crew (and took a picture of it).  teehee. XD  [Sorry if I look underdressed. hehe]

[All hail the Frosty Brigade!   Mwahahaha!]

I also had a problem on the second day, when some of my stuff (candy canes, cotton, etc.) mysteriously disappeared and my Medical Mask (formerly called a “gag” for some reason) turned into a beard.  [No joke!]  [More on this in a later blog.]

Fortunately, with the help off my friends and guildies, I was able to finish all of my quests.  And I did my best to help them finish there whenever I could.  Although some of them weren’t able to finish all of their quests. T_T  Mainly ’cause their levels were still too low to take on some of the monsters in the game, even with our help to weaken them.  [NOTE:  many of the items were non-transferrable.  And the leveling up process was disabled for the Reunion, except for maybe the pets.]   Sorry guys.

But along the way, the Sailoria guild had to raise money for its uniforms and it managed to get enough for 100 people.  [Good job, guys!  XD]  We could’ve had more if we had some more time with the raising of money and if more of us were on at the time.  But hopefully, we’ll be given another chance to raise money.  ^_^

After the raising, the guildies who were on posed for a guild photo at the Harbor.  And some of the gms joined in too.  X3

And then everyone went to New York to say goodbye to the Reunion and the last time we’ll ever meet in 2008.

There were so many tears shed during that fateful gathering.  Along with a few announcements:

1.  The  Top 4 guilds in the Food for Friends now have their own interviews in the game’s official website.  [Although I kinda found out about it before the Reunion.]  Click here to find them.

2.  The five winners of the Saving Christmas Event have been announced:

Congrats to all of the winners.  And to everybody else who participated.  Even if you weren’t able to finish all of the quests, I’m proud of all of you for doing your best.  ^_^  Hope you guys had fun doing them.

3.  For all of the guilds who won the FFF event…

And so, after a really long countdown and so many tearful goodbyes,…..

the Reunion, as well as the 2008 HKO gaming year, had officially ended. T_T

Well again, I hope everybody who got on was able to enjoy the reunion.  I want to thank all of my friends (guildies or not), all of the gms (especially the newcomer GM-Miyaw, but more on that later), and everyone else for playing.  I hope we all will have more fun in future installments and meet even more friends along the way.

P.S.  By the way, for those of you who were wondering about my prophecies:

1.  Yes, there was snow in the game, but mostly in the new New York area.

2.  No, there wasn’t a quest where you had to get coal for the naughty kids.  Though there should’ve been some for Badtz-maru and maybe that character who wants to cream him with snowballs.  hehe

And, unfortunately,

3.  No, they didn’t announce when the Open Beta’s gonna start.  T_T  Even though they did announce all of that other stuff I mentioned before.

So at least ONE of my prophecies came true.  Sorry for keeping anybody’s hopes up about the OB.  Hopefully, they’re be announcing it soon.
