Link Banners

Mood: Tired
Music: Hinder - Lips of an Angel

Drink: Capuccino

It seems to be a growing trend in blogs now a days to have Link Banners. Link Banners are images the blog author provides so that when people link their blogs, they have the option to add an image.

So how exactly do you add an image to your links?

First, you need to make an image. You can do this in Photo Editor or Photoshop. Most websites have standard sizes for their link banners… Example:

This banner’s size is 468 x 60 pixels:

This one is 200 x 40 pixels:

But the most common one is 88 x 31 pixels:

Now like the entry where I talked about site counters, grab the URL of the image of the banner you like and paste the URL in the Image address field.

And there you have it. Feel free to use this images to link me to your blog, and please do let me know when your blog has a blog banner and I’ll be sure to put it in my links. Enjoy!

Add a Site Counter!

Monday, February 26th, 2007

Hey guys! Sorry for the lull in my reviews… Lot’s of stuff going on in Sanriotown. But please do keep up the good work on your blogs! :o

As you continue writing up about the things happening in your life, wouldn’t you want to know how many readers you’re having so far? :D Well, I have the perfect solution! Grab a site counter in Easy Counter at http://www.easycounter.com/!

Now the sign up part is pretty easy, so I won’t walk you throught that one… But remember: Choose “HTML” for your Counter Type!

Once you finish signing up, you’ll get something that looks like this:

<a href=”http://www.easycounter.com/”>
<img src=”http://www.easycounter.com/counter.php?kuchiki_rukia”
border=”0″ alt=”Free Web Counter”></a>
<br><a href=”http://www.easycounter.com/FreeCounter3.html”>stats counter</a>

Kinda stupid looking isn’t it? Here’s what you do with it…

  1. In your blog’s “Blogroll”, choose “Add Link” (Option: You might want to add a new category exclusive for you site counter first). :D
  2. Copy the first URL in the stupid looking codes you got (which in this case is: http://www.easycounter.com/) and paste it onto the “Name” field.
  3. Copy the second URL (again, from the sample it’s http://www.easycounter.com/counter.php?kuchiki_rukia), and paste it in the “Image Address” field, way down below the “Add Link” section.
  4. Finally, copy the third URL (http://www.easycounter.com/FreeCounter3.html), and paste it in the “Address” field.

And you’re all set! :) You now have a site counter! :D

Have fun everyone. :D

A Few KTs Later…

After pondering about what to do first, Rukia gets an idea..!

If there’s a way to get the MSN emoticons onto her blog, then it might be more ineresting to look at than just plain old text… It would be better to show people what you’re feeling through pictures than just words right?

So off she goes to Sanriotown, and clicks the “Enjoy Download” button on the top bar of her email. The download took merely a few seconds because it’s in zip format. Then she skipped to photobucket and uploaded her pictures there..!

Now Rukia has Hello Kitty on her blog! But she’s now wondering if she can shrink these emoticons somehow for other people to use…

Oh my, it’s back to the drawing board again… hellokitties.jpg

But then she decides to post something else… What about all the Hello Kitty Stuff Toys she can find in the office? Oh dear… She didn’t think they would be this many..! Even more scary that it only belongs to 2 people..! Oh dear gracious… And now Dear Danial Icons are here too..!

Happy posting!

The Most Important Day

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

It’s the day every girl dreams of… To be dressed in white prepared for her prince whom she loves most. All eyes will be on her as she walks down the aisle to meet the person she will be with forever… Surrounded by the people who love her the most, she is ready to begin a new chapter in her life…

And what better way to do it that to have your favorite Sanrio Character as the theme of your wedding?

It’s the first time in Hong Kong that a wedding was being held in the MTR Station, and Horlick and Jamie were the first to be married in this manner. This lucky couple won the contest to have their wedding fully themed as Hello Kitty!

From the clothes, to the jewelry, and even the flowers, Hello Kitty was there to celebrate with them the loved they shared. As a bonus, Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel were there as their Maid of Honor and Best Man!

Isn’t it a wonder how 2 people can just meet in this world? It’s such a beautiful thing how love can blossom in the most unusual circumstances. Horlick and Jamie were once classmates who only met again in the MTR Stations as they went home from work. Who would have thought a chance meeting like that would end up with the two of them getting married in the end? I bet they didn’t think that way back then… And I’m pretty sure they never dreamed their wedding would have Hello Kitty all over it.

Watch out for more info about the Hello Kitty Wedding in the Official Blog!

Hello Kitty Wedding?

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

The buzz is all around Hong Kong about a couple getting married today, on Valentines Day, dressed up as Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel..! Isn’t that sweet?

I’m quite interested to see what the couple really looks like. Is it just the dress that has Hello Kitty patterns all over it? Or did they go all out and wear Cat Ears for their wedding day? Oh~ I can’t wait to see the pictures!

I wanted to go there myself, but I heard a lot of media people will be there… I don’t do well with lots of people, and besides, I might not see the coupld through the crowd since I’m not exactly tall.

Look through the Official Blog for details on the Hello Kitty Wedding. I’ll write up about it more when I get more details..!

PS. Those are my Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel Stuff Toys! I got them from McDonalds a few years back… Don’t they look cute together?
