I saw this from Claire Lim’s post. It’s from Post Secret.

There was a curfew imposed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo from 12 midnight to 5 a.m. Friday. “The directive covers Metro Manila and Regions 3 and 4-A.”

This all resulted from the failed coup/stand-off/whatever you may call it, headed by Mr. Trillanes (I don’t want to call him a senator. Excuse me! He’s not befitting to be called one) and Gen. Danny Lim, with Former Vice-President Guingona, and other personalities.

If you ask me, they have every right to protest and make their claims heard, because God knows how corrupt and deranged this administration is, but their methods were just plain stupid and unconstitutional.

I learned of this news from Cherrie, who made me a little bit excited and panicky at the same time. I really didn’t know anything until she told me at around 12pm? I was looking for practically any source of news. I called up my mom to watch, and text me for updates. Later, I settled for the radio in Harrell’s car.

I was with some CSA people at TriNoma for dinner and a movie at that time. We watched Disney’s newest movie, Enchanted. Austin and Harroun really liked it. It lowers the IQ, but it’s good, as Austin said. But it’s “a feel good movie” and according to Harroun it made him feel good after. Haha! For me, yes, it was an interestingly funny film, but it was very predictable and crazy. Feel good, yes; but, not what I expected it to be. :P

We finished at around 9pm, and went straight home after.

Everyone was safe at home before the 12 midnight curfew. Thankfully! :D

I have been out of commission for a while now. I guess I didn’t have the heart to write about something, even if a lot have happened lately. Was I busy? No… I just didn’t feel like writing at all.

At Patrick’s house killing time before Dorothy’s debut:

Tiff (the whiner :P) was desperately in need of a makeover (she was telling us), all of a sudden, out of desperation I think, she started saying…

Tiff (asking Patrick): Do you have a skirt?
Pat: Why would I have a skirt?
Tiff: Do you have heels?
Pat: Nooo!!!
Tiff: Do you have something girly?
Pat: (the look of his face = priceless)
Me: Uhh.. Of course not. (while laughing out loud)

Dorothy’s Debut!

Checked-In at Mandarin Oriental

After the debut, I went to the hotel, where my parents and siblings were already checked in. I was just glad about the whole thing.

I was going to go to the gym early the next day, but I forgot to bring my rubber shoes! So I just went out, and walked with my mom to buy breakfast at Subway near the hotel. What I enjoy doing when I’m in a hotel is to try their pool. I guess, I’m just a water person afterall. It has been a long time since I did laps, so I was just happy to have done some strokes that day.

To top it all, I got to drive the car going home, without my dad. It’s the third time now since forever. HAHA!

Dinner at Seaside (Dampa)

That same night, the uncle of my mom, treated us to a seafood galore dinner at Master Cook, Seaside in Macapagal Avenue.

Crabs, Oysters, Scallops, Blue Marlin, Squids, Shrimps GALORE. Too bad I don’t have pictures, they all dove in at the food right away.

I went to the office today and had these “pasalubong” waiting for me and Raein. We also got our certificates of employment, which we will need to apply for a credit card.

It’s so sad that Austin, a common friend of Raein and I, wasn’t allowed to go up the building just because of what he is wearing. Uhh.. isn’t that too discriminating?

We played DOTA at Ash Creek, and it was my first time to actually play the game. (so you’ve guessed right - I sucked more than Raein…haha) I didn’t know that there’s this place in Ash Creek where you can play computer games. It was flocked with Xaverians (students of Xavier School) dismissal time.

I thought that it wasn’t allowed by law to put such kind of establishment near schools? Anyway, we ate at Burger King after the game.

After eating, we went to Sureplay, in Araneta Avenue to play badminton. It was all fun! I haven’t played for the longest time now, and I had to warm up for an hour before I got the hang of it again. Play-all-you-can for 60 pesos was really worth it I guess. :):)

Your Brain is 53% Female, 47% Male

Your brain is a healthy mix of male and female
You are both sensitive and savvy
Rational and reasonable, you tend to keep level headed
But you also tend to wear your heart on your sleeve

This is from Raein’s post: Chocolates and cakes are the way to a girl’s heart

There are days where you can’t really think of something to post or to blog about. When those days come, a lot of people would resort to posting surveys and quizzes that they took online. One example is Blogthings.

Since a lot in Sanriotown posted these kinds of surveys/ tests, and after I saw Tiff’s post, I decided to try it too and join the bandwagon. So here are my results:

You are Milk Chocolate

A total dreamer, you spend most of your time with your head in the clouds.
You often think of the future, and you are always working toward your ideal life.
Also nostalgic, you rarely forget a meaningful moment… even those from long ago.

You Are an Ice Cream Cake

Surprising, unique, and high maintenance.
You’re one of a kind, and you don’t want anyone to forget it.
You’re fun in small doses, but it’s easy for people to overdose on you!

I’m glad that induction is finally over :)

After the induction, some of us went to TriNoma to watch a movie. I’m not so sure who decided what movie to watch, but we ended up watching Beowulf. It was supposed to start at 5:15, so we ate at Five Cows first to kill time. I ordered Tarta de Manila - sophisticated version of turon (fried banana in wrapper) that was made into a cake, with ice cream and langka.

Right after the movie (which I admittedly didn’t like that much, except for the.. you know…just watch it, and you’ll know.. haha) we were greeted with really nice fireworks right outside the open area of the mall. I believe that the fireworks show is a 6pm regular attraction of the mall.

We had dinner after the movie at Heaven and Eggs. It was really funny; I can conclude that CSA=Bridge, because wherever CSA people went, bridge playing is a no fail. Did I mention that at Five Cows, there were 2 groups who played bridge? There were also 2 groups who were playing at Heaven and Eggs :P We’re that addicted.

Although I was really tired already, I managed to enjoy everything… Induction’s over. Human chess. Pam trying to drive the car, and succeeding. Five Cows. Bridge. Beowulf. Fireworks. Heaven and Eggs. Pictures, and more pictures!

Thanks Austin for the ride!!! :)
