I hate it! I arrived at National Bookstore, Quezon Avenue, at exactly 6:58am! I was greeted by a LONG line of Potter fans, waiting for the 7:00am opening of the store. I hurriedly lined up. At exactly 7:01 am, they opened. We all rushed to the counters to buy our book!

I just wish I had my camera with me! ARGH! >.<

I can’t wait for Saturday! There’s a lot of things happening this Saturday.

2. Membership Committee Meeting (9am-12nn)
3. MemComm Lunch (w/ our apps) (12nn-1 plus)
4. PCCI Dog Show @ Tiendesitas (Yehey, my Shih Tzu and Dacshund are joining - I hope they win!)
5. A Friend’s Birthday! =)

Last Saturday, the Alliance of Filipino Chinese Students (AFICS) had an all-officers party/ bonding night at Astoria Plaza in Pasig. We had bonding, games, more talking, eating, more games, and a fun fun night!

I saw this inspiring post from Wifely Steps. She says, and I quote a part of her post (How’s your rolling going?):

“To the missing pieces who are reading this, don’t be afraid to roll. Your sharp corners have a purpose, but they’re not there to stay. Lift and pop and flop. It can hurt a little bit sometimes but you need to do this. Make decisions, command responsibility, take better care of yourself. Grow up. Then you will be able to roll. Then you will be complete.”

She continues by saying…

“To the big O’s who may be watching missing pieces try to roll, be patient. You were once a missing piece yourself. And are you sure you’re a big O? Or maybe you still need to do some more rolling yourself? Keep rolling. And be patient. If you and your missing piece are meant to roll together, you will roll together.”

“The best fit comes when two big O’s roll together. It takes time and patience to be a big O yourself and find another big O to roll with (if you want to), but it does happen.”

What struck me the most, and I find very true about life is…

“While you may feel others complete you, the truth is, only you can fully complete yourself.”

Last July 10, Tuesday, UPROJECT had its Orientation Seminar at the CBA Rm 309, from 5 to 7pm.

Our guest speaker was Junior Law student, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, Miss Photogenic at the recently concluded Miss Universe, BA Broad Comm Summa Cum Laude, Ms. Anna Theresa Licaros.

She narrated her own story - in choosing her path in life.

She says that “it is important to have a mix of what you are good at and what you want to do.”

Ria and Karol (hosts) both explained what UProject is all about. What we do and what our plans are.

After which, we served them with palabok and cupcakes, while entertaining their questions about the organization.
