Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife

I went to the zoo yesterday, to do some primate observation for Anthropology 10 class in UP. I was lucky to have found the perfect excuse to go to the zoo - this zoo where I went. Last I went there was like when I was a kid. I can’t remember when.

So there are 4 kind of Primates in this zoo.

a. Philippine Monkey (Macaca philippinensis) ? unggoy

b. Yellow Baboon (Papio cynocephalus)

c. Vervet Monkey (Chlorocebus pygerythrus)

d. Gibbon

I have observed the Yellow Baboon. Here’s a picture of the monkey.

    Why are they called yellow baboons? They’re not really yellow, right?

    yeah they’re not. i really do not know…maybe google it? :D hmm.. i didn’t bother to look before.. haha
