Book Cover Clues and First Official Text

The final book is just months away. We can’t help but feel mixed emotions. Finally it is going to be released. Everyone can’t wait anymore for what would happen to Harry and his friends. Of course, who would forget Lord Voldemort.

Here’s the Scholastic version of the cover (same version that would be released in the Philippines)

What are they (Harry and Voldemort) both reaching for??

Here’s the Bloomsbury cover of the book.

Now, here’s the UK Adult Cover

Quoting from Jayvee Chun, “Is that the missing locket from Half-Blood Prince: the one Harry and Dumbledore set forth to find only to weaken the headmaster and made him easy to kill? Will this be the real one? And will R.A.B. finally be revealed? Is he Regulus Arcturus Black, Sirius’ dead brother briefly mentioned in Order of the Phoenix? Will that guess be correct?” (All we can do is speculate, and wait for the book)

The First Official Text from the Book

Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and destroying Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes. Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. But Harry must somehow find within himself the strength to complete the task he has been given. He must leave the warmth, safety and companionship of The Burrow and follow without fear or hestitation the inexorable path laid out for him.

In this final, seventh installment of the Harry Potter series, J,K, Rowling unveils in spectacular fashion the answers to the many questions that has been so eagerly awaited. The spellbinding, richly woven narrative, which plunges, twists and turns at a breathtaking pace, confirms the author as a mistress of storytelling, whose books will be read, reread and read again.

Arthur Levine, the editor of the Harry Potter books says:

“We’re seeing Harry in a very interesting situation. Readers will find out exactly what the situation is.

“When I was reading it, I had both the excitement and the power of the book, and the plot, driving me forward. But I was also feeling a little sad. It’s the last time.”

When Levine admitted he “sobbed and sobbed” while reading Deathly Hallows, he was asked the following:

“That means someone we like dies, doesn’t it?”

“Well, it means it is a very, very emotional book,” he responded.

The book will be released in the Philippines on JULY 21, 2007.

“Receive into your hands O Lord, Justin, your son.”

I cannot believe it. A batchmate passed away today. (This has been the 3rd casualty in less than 6 months.) God Help Us!

Read story here.

We’re all shocked. Who isn’t? Justin’s too young to die.

Why does it have to be from our batch?! Why does someone have to go this early in life. Why?! That’s the one question that resounds in all of our minds. Sadly, we cannot answer it; we do not know the answer to the question.

Here’s Justin’s Metamorphosis write-up (I got it from Matthew) :

“If Justin was to be fully described, I don’t think you would even find enough words to use. But to cut it short, well, he’s just a very active and fun loving person. I think these are the qualities that would describe him the most; he doesn’t like to get bored. Although he likes a little time for himself once in a while, just to get out of a busy and stressful day. He may look shy and silent at first but once you get to know him there’s a lot more to see.

As I said he’s a very fun loving person, some one who’s always up to the challenge there’s no limit for this guy. He’s always game for everything! From road trips to just plain fooling around! He never runs out of energy, even if it takes all night! But as for his dreams in life, he always wanted to be a successful businessman or a “taipan” in other words. He always likes it when he’s in control of things, and besides that I think he has a great sense of leadership. And after he would create his own business then he would pursue whatever it is he wants to do, his vocation. And so he could spend his whole day basking in the sun of his success. Knowing all about his goals and dreams we could say that he’s a very business minded person, but truly he also has his sensitive side. He could be happy and jovial all the time, but he actually reflects on his every actions of the day. At times he just likes to sit down and relax and just talk about things. This guy’s unique and really a very interesting person.

Well, to sum it up he’s a person with a great heart and interesting personality cause you will never find out what he going to do or say next. But if it weren’t for every one that helped him, he would not have been what he is today. And I bet he’s grateful for what everyone has done for him and he had the moment he would thank everyone he ever knew.”

- Justin Ong

Life always suprises us. Well, now, I am sure that Justin’s in a better place than all of us - free from all the trials and tribulations in life.

Dude, watch over all of us.
