Just forget about that person. Trust me, no one is worth having if they’re going to treat you like dirt. Someone did that to me for 11 years before I said ,”ENOUGH!” and walked away. It’s just gonna hurt worse, even if this person was close to you.

I hope everything works out. Regardless of what his parents think, if the love is there then nothing can stop it! My grandmother came from an aristocratic family and my grandfather was adopted by a wealthy family, but since he was adopted and didn’t have a “last name” my great grandparents did not want my grandmother to date my granddad. Because they disapproved, my grandparents ran away and married each other and honestly, I have never seen anyone so in love like my grandparents were. Even at their old age they acted like teenagers in love. And mind you, my grandmother was a college graduate when they got married so its not like she was young either. Love always prevails, so keep on fighting for it.

I’m trying to stick to a strict diet as well, meaning I mostly want to spend less money on food at work. I’m planning on packing lunches and such. Good luck with your diet

Thank you so much, your post has encouraged me. It’s sad that some people’s perceptions of abusive parents can be so close-minded… but I guess just let them say what they have to say while we keep moving forward. And I never looked at it that way before, but I think that growing up as a good person is honoring your parents. I think I am honoring mine in the things I’ve done. And yes it is dark and sad now, but I think the future hold more promise, so I will keep waiting!
