Well it’s time for another Sunday Social Meme! They are fun! Thanks Nemo!
How to play: Tag 3 blog friends and the answer to this week’s question/s on your blog and remember to let your friends know you tagged them so they can play too!
This Week’s Questions:
- What’s your favourite homemade food? (meal/baked goods)
- Share your recipe!
Our favorite homemade food would probably be Chex Mix! Our mom makes the best Chex Mix ever! She always puts extra spices and stuff on it and it is so good and salty! Our favorite homemade meal would be a tie between breakfast for dinner and any holiday meal! There’s nothing better to us than scrambled eggs, sausage, buttered toast, biscuits and gravy, shredded hashbrowns, and a big tall glass of orange juice. Holiday meals are always great because there’s tons of everything: spinach dip, sausage balls, glazed ham, pulled turkey, green beans, Skoby’s corn, pasta salad, vegetable casserole, broccoli casserole, many other casseroles, side dishes, and tons of delicious desserts. Ahh, makes us want all of that food right now. It is hard to pick just one recipe because we love so many! We’ll stick with something easy.
Skoby’s Corn Recipe
Ingredients:
1-2 16 oz. of fresh, frozen, or steamed corn
3 to 4 Tbsp of butter or margarine
2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese, softened
1-2 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of cream
Directions:
If cooking in a crockpot, add all ingredients and let simmer on warm for 30 min. or until served. If cooking in a saucepan or skillet, put part of the butter in the pan. Then add the corn. Let the corn get warm and add the cream cheese. Then add the cream, butter, and salt to taste. Let cool and enjoy. It makes a creamy, buttery corn that is amazing. Enjoy
