The Yolk’s on You

November 10th, 2009 by shadowcat13:kuririnmail.com

By feeding hens certain dyes they can be made to lay eggs with varicolored yolks.

First of all, why would you feed chickens dye? Aren’t pellets enough? Secondly, why would you want multicolored eggs in the first place? I wouldn’t like my fried eggs green. At least Dr. Seuss would have his green eggs.

Secret Squirrel

November 9th, 2009 by shadowcat13:kuririnmail.com

Just wondering: does anyone remember Secret Squirrel and his assistant, Morocco Mole? We were just reminiscing about the old-school cartoons, and this is one of them that I really miss. Secret’s a parody of James Bond, bearing the designation Agent 000 of the International Sneaky Service, and he takes orders from Double Q. Like James Bond, he’s got an insane amount of gadgets, practically all of which are hidden in his trench coat or purple hat.

For some reason, I always imagined his tail would be really soft and fluffy if you touch it.:P

Pepsi’s New Logo

November 6th, 2009 by shadowcat13:kuririnmail.com

image_pepsilogo1Just read an online article. Apparently, Pepsi’s changed its logo after how many years. Mountain Dew too. You can check out the entire entry here. You can see the new designs for Mist, Gatorade, Pepsi Max, and Diet Pepsi as well.

It’s funny, I’ve read the comments and people seem to be really affected by the change.

It’s not like they changed the formula of the drink, like the whole New Coke controversy. Maybe the Mountain Dew one is more extreme, since they effectively changed the actual name (never mind if only through the spelling). I don’t get what the fuss is about. It’s not like the Pepsi logo changed drastically, they still used the Red, White, and Blue, but then, I’m not a designer, so they could have violated a lot of rules without my knowing.

The Case of Kermit’s Collar

November 5th, 2009 by shadowcat13:kuririnmail.com

Kermit the Frog has 11 points on his collar around his neck.

Funny, I’ve never bothered counting it. Maybe it’s because I was too busy watching the show.

Trivia for Book Lovers

November 4th, 2009 by shadowcat13:kuririnmail.com

A new book is published every 13 minutes in America.

If that’s the case, how come books are still expensive?
