Origin of Halloween Costumes

Do you know why people started wearing costumes during Halloween? Our ancestors, probably the Celts, believed that during this day, spirits roamed. That’s why they wore costumes - to fool these spooks that they weren’t human.
Oh yeah, they’d believe you’re not human if you wore this.

All gondolas in Venice, Italy must be painted black, unless they belong to a high official.
Apparently, orange and black are the predominant Halloween colors because orange is associated with the Fall harvest and black is associated with darkness and death.
