This limerick came from Eduard Lear, one of the most famous limerick-ists (is that even a word?:P) who ever existed. I think he existed around the 1800s, but I’m not completely sure of that.o_O

There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, ‘It is just as I feared!
Two Owls and a Hen,
Four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!’

It just occurred to me that I promised limericks on my blog but haven’t gotten around to posting one.

To remedy that, I’m posting one I found on the net. Putting it in other words, this ain’t mine!

A mouse in her room woke Miss Doud
Who was frightened and screamed very loud
Then a happy thought hit her
To scare off the critter
She sat up in bed and just meowed
