Here’s a rain-related piece of trivia for you.

You can use pinecones to forecast the weather–the scales will close when rain is on the way.

I wonder if it works even if the pinecones aren’t attached to the tree anymore. If that’s the case, I’ll be carrying one in my pocket every day now, thanks.
