That’s News to Me

Apparently, the origin of the word "NEWS" is that it came from the first letters of the words North, East, West and South. This was because information was being gathered from all different directions.

Wonder why they didn’t choose to call it WENS. Or SNEW. Or EWNS.

    So that’s what the news meant. Oh, and the reason why it couldn’t be called WENS or SNEW or even EWNS is because these won’t even be real words, just scambled words.
