In 1984, the newspaper "El Dorado Journal" announced a Daylight Saving Time Contest to see who would save the most daylight. It was meant to be an April Fools’ joke, but (surprise, surprise) some people took it seriously.

It tells of the story of two six-year old boys, both having rare birth defects, who were put in the same kindergarten classroom and ended up being best friends, practically inseparable. You have to read the full article to appreciate the beauty in their friendship, especially because their actions prove that they’re wiser than their age.
