Did you know that Kermit the Frog actually has a Ph.D.? He was awarded an honorary doctorate of Amphibious Letters at Southampton College in 1996.

Corned Beef

Ever wondered why corned beef is called that even if it has no corn? In the Anglo-Saxon times, meat was preserved for wintertime by packing it in barrels with pellets of salt, roughly the size of corn kernels. This was eventually shortened to "corned beef".
