An armadillo can walk under water.
And if all else fails, you can always use it as a ball. Woot. Talk about a multi-talented creature.
… Or non-”E”s, depending on how you choose to look at the situation.
Ernest Vincent Wright of America wrote “Gadsby: Champion of Youth”, a novel of around 50,000 words, that does not have the letter E in even one of those.
What makes the novel amazing is that it is fully and completely grammatically correct and has complete sense, not disjointed because of the lack of the most common letter in the alphabet.
The only thing that makes me wonder is, did the author disregard his first and middle names as well for this book?
She was busy fighting lawsuits! Sarah Michelle Gellar faced a McDonald’s lawsuit at the age of four when she appeared in a Burger King commercial.
You know one thing I don’t get? Why McDonald’s would sue a four-year old kid who probably wasn’t really aware of what she was saying in the ad.
The first Valentine’s Day card was sent by a knight to his wife in 1415. The knight was held captive in the Tower of London.
No, I didn’t suddenly forget what I learned in grammar school. Turns out “chad” is the term for the little circles of paper that are cut out when you use a hole puncher.
Odd. For me, I call it “trash.”
