Chef’s Hat
The weird mushroom-like shape of a chef’s hat actually has a thermodynamic (or whatever it’s classified as) reason: its shape allows air to circulate around the scalp, keeping the head cool in a hot kitchen.
Still does not explain why chefs have the notorious reputation of having a temper though. Shouldn’t they have cool heads because of their hats?:P

maybe they should wear two of those for better temper control. ^_^

With that weird shape, can’t blame them if they are hot tempered. Sooner or later they will demand to have the Chef’s hat redesigned.
