Charlie Chaplin Chaps

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Charlie Chaplin once won third prize in a Charlie Chaplin look alike contest.

Does that mean that someone else other than him looked more like him than himself?

That’s confusing.@_@

Meow!

Kuchiki Rukia seems to be on a “20 Questions” craze in her past posts.:P She’d asked about food, personality, and even colors in her old questions, and now she’s asking about animals. Where does she get these stuff?

Anyway, I’ll humor her this time (never get on the bad side of a mod, I always say :P). She asks, “If you could be an animal, what would it be and why?”

For me, it’s simple! I’d be a cat, of course (er, yeah. And that’s why I’m shadowcat). Why? Cats are graceful and usually can avoid accidents (let’s not talk about roadkill here). I mean, when they fall, they almost always land on their feet. How cool is that? Household cats also have their owners wrapped around their little, er, tails, something which humans don’t even seem to be aware of. Lastly, cats have an arsenal of defense: not only do they have claws, but they can also rely on their dander to make hostile (and allergic) creatures back off.

You Give A Little Love

Monday, September 24th, 2007

This is one of my favorite commercials to date. The beat is really catchy, the graphics are cute, and amazingly, there’s actually substance in the ad. Trust Coca-Cola to make these warm, homey videos that we know and love.:)

Oh yeah, the music they used here is actually a pretty old song , by Bugsy Malone. Here are the lyrics:

Give A Little Love

We could’ve been anything
That we wanted to be
And it’s not too late to change
I’d be delighted to give it some thought
May-be you’ll agree that we really ought
Two, three, four)
We could’ve been anything
That we wanted to be)
Yes, that decision was ours
It’s been decided we’re weaker divided)
Let friendship double up our powers)
We could’ve been anything
That we wanted to be
And I’m not saying that we should
But if we try it, we’d learn to abide it
We could be the best at bein’ good guys)
Flowers of the earth
Who can even guess how much
A real friend is worth?
Good guys, shake an open hand)
May-be trusting
If we try to understand
No doubt about it
It must be worthwhile
Good friends do tend to make you smile)
We could’ve been anything
That we wanted to be
Yes, that decision is ours
It’s been decided we’re weaker divided
Let friendship double our powers)
You give a little love
And it all comes back to you
(Da da da ra da da da)
You know you gonna be remembered
For the things you say and do
(Da da da ra da da da)
You give a little love
Andit all comes back to you
(Da da da ra da da da)
You know you gonna be remembered
For the things you say and do
(Da da da ra da da da)
(Repeat and fade)

In Paraguay, dueling is legal  as long as both parties are registered blood donors.

I wonder if you get stabbed? Would there be a need for them to be organ donors too?

Morbid thoughts.@_@

An Elephant Never Forgets

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

I came across this video on Sanriotown, and I thought I’d share it with you.:P

Just because I’m a total geek when it comes to useless trivia (as you should have noticed by now), I just had to check where the idea that elephants have a bottomless pit-memory bin came from.

Apparently, elephants do have good memory, as seen in their remembering the paths that their herds take. It’s so good that they can, believe it or not, pass on genetic memories of directions and places across generations. They also remember people, and can recognize them even if they’ve been separated for a long time.

So when you’re in the zoo or in a wildlife sanctuary, be careful how you treat elephants. You never know when they’ll get their revenge.:P
