Lucky Days?

Michael Jordan shaves his head on Tuesdays and Fridays.

(See the shine of his head :p Must’ve been a Tuesday or a Friday)

Is there a superstition that it would be better if you had your hair done in these days?@_@

Rainy Days = :(

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

It’s been raining pretty hard here these past days.:( The weather’s making me more than just a little depressed, even if there’s not really no reason to be like that.

Last night on a news report, though, I finally found the reason why we get sad and depressed when the gray clouds roll in (and it’s not because they seem to be crying). Called “Typhoon Affective Disorder” (whoa, that’s a mouthful. LOL), the mood is caused by lack of sunlight, making people :(. Scientifically speaking, it’s the lack of Vitamin D that make people moan and groan. As plain, ol’ regular people, though, it’s probably just because we can’t go out and play.:p

Fear not, people! There are ways to cure the gloom! The news gave three tips:

1. Exercise. Get out of the couch and start moving around!

2. Vitamin D supplements (and no, it doesn’t mean that they made little sun capsules)

3. Talk to loved ones, relatives, or anyone that makes you happy :D ( A really good excuse to contact that *ehem* special person in your life ;))

So the next time the skies look dark, don’t let your mood be affected! Take these tips and you’ll be chipper, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as a squirrel, and as sunny as the, er, sun.:D

Hyuuga Natsume

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Thought I’d do that idea I had and make occasional posts on some of my favorite characters.:D

Second on my list (after Raphael of course), is the bad boy of Alice Academy, 11-year old (?) Hyuuga Natsume.

Well, actually, when you get to watch the anime, you’ll find out he’s not as bad as he first appears to be. He’s just scared to let people come closer to him (to his “darkness”) because he’s scared that they might get hurt, whether because of his power (he can control fire), or because of the mystery surrounding his past, present, and future.

When you first see him, though, “caring”, “thoughtful”, and “sensitive” won’t be the words that pop in your head. “Arrogant”, “moody,” and “belligerent” would probably be closer to the mark. Even if he cuts classes with his posse, he’s extremely intelligent and is one of those who tops their class. He seems indifferent and even rude to the other people, even to his teachers. He even used to torment the lead character Sakura Mikan for a lot of reasons, and calls her names. We’ll later catch the hint that he actually seems to have a crush on her - and vice versa (haha! cute!)

He belongs to the Dangerous Abilities class - which is actually a cover name for the students who gets assigned to dangerous missions by the school, projects which involve espionage and similar stuff that need their special “gifts.” In addition, his alice is of the “Unlimited” form, which means that he can use it whenever and how intensely he likes, but with the consequence that each use of his power decreases his life span.

Aside from Mikan, the other people close to him are Nogi Ruka, his childhood friend who has the alice of animal pheromones (and also is attracted to Mikan), and Hijiri Yōichi, a three-year old boy who can summon and manipulate ghosts, because he identifies with the little kid.

Found this really cool site all over again.:P A friend sent this to me a long time ago, and I found it again while looking for something completely different in my inbox. Anyway, thought I’d share this.:P

Any frustrated music mixers out there?:D

There was a young girl named Jill

Who freaked at the sight of a drill

She brushed every day

So her dentist would say,

“Your teeth are quite perfect. No bill.”

Man, this limerick reminded me of the last time I had to go to the dentist.@_@ I was never really afraid to go to the dentist, but the last one was a nightmare. I h ad four teeth filled. To make things worse, I had two of my growing wisdom teeth extracted by a surgeon, because they didn’t grow the way they should. Why a surgeon? Because the regular dentist couldn’t do it.@_@ The only good thing was, he was really good, so he pulled both teeth out in 15 minutes.

I find something funny though: if tooth decay is often caused by eating sweet stuff, how come the “remedy” (ice cream) after tooth extraction is also sweet?:P (Obviously a lousy attempt to defend my sweet tooth :p)
