Alright, this is a video game for the Nintendo DS and totally kicks. If anyone passing by has ever played it, please feel free to leave a comment; I would love to talk about it with fellow players.

The game came out, I think, earlier this spring. I’ve had my eyes on it since I had first heard that Nomura Tetsuya-san (character designer/director for many Final Fantasy games, Kingdom Hearts and TWEWY) would be designing the characters. I was like, “Dude, totally have to get that!”. Yeah, I am a huge fan of his work, not only as an artist or a director but as a person as well. I base a lot of my drawings off of his style. I don’t copy it, I just use it as a guide. Its like, “This is what I want my drawings to look like some day.” I’ve followed him through as a fan since the Final Fantasy days. Oh, he did so well with this game. At first, I thought he would have a little trouble with it, but no, he proved me wrong completely, or at least it didn’t show at all. Its truly a great game; has good graphics, characters, morals and an awesome plot. I finished it in 48 hours, without stopping to eat, sleep or use the bathroom. Yeah, I was that into it. It was that great.

I loved all of the characters a lot, although Joshua-kun really bugged me up until the end of Neku-kun’s seven days with him as his second partner. I was like, “NOOOOOO!” when he did what he did in the end of the seventh day. I wanted to cry. That’s when I found out that I had actually secretly fallen in love with his character. Yeah, he’s my favourite one. He’s a lot like me in some ways. Hard  to believe, I know, but its true. I swear.

The ending was great and I’ve totally fallen in love with Jyongri-san’s voice after hearing her Japanese version of “Lullaby For You”. Aw. What a voice. I mean, I have listened to her songs, and liked them, before but this really hit the spot. Its kind of funny, though, she and Utada Hikaru-san are so alike; they’re voices, styles and they even belong to the same record label. Hmm. I wonder how that happened.

Well, anyways, if you haven’t played “The World Ends With You”, I truly encourage you to play it, even if it’ll be the only game you ever play in your life, play it. Its a great game. You’ll be sure to enjoy it some way or another. And, if you’re also a fan of Nomura Tetsuya-san’s work, you won’t be disappointed.

Go play it…now :3

  1. I’m playing it now!^_^ I’m only in the second week (with Joshua). I love the game so far, my only problem is that I can’t upgrade my pins via Mingle mode, because I don’t really know a lot of people who have DS that I can use to match with mine.:/

  2. Yay! Somebody commented ^_^
Oh, that’s just like me so I understand what you’re saying about the pin upgrading. I only have a few other friends who play the game but they live back in Japan and I, well I don’t :3
So, I know what you’re talking about. I feel your pain.
    Thanks for stopping by :)
