Alright, this is a video game for the Nintendo DS and totally kicks. If anyone passing by has ever played it, please feel free to leave a comment; I would love to talk about it with fellow players.

The game came out, I think, earlier this spring. I’ve had my eyes on it since I had first heard that Nomura Tetsuya-san (character designer/director for many Final Fantasy games, Kingdom Hearts and TWEWY) would be designing the characters. I was like, “Dude, totally have to get that!”. Yeah, I am a huge fan of his work, not only as an artist or a director but as a person as well. I base a lot of my drawings off of his style. I don’t copy it, I just use it as a guide. Its like, “This is what I want my drawings to look like some day.” I’ve followed him through as a fan since the Final Fantasy days. Oh, he did so well with this game. At first, I thought he would have a little trouble with it, but no, he proved me wrong completely, or at least it didn’t show at all. Its truly a great game; has good graphics, characters, morals and an awesome plot. I finished it in 48 hours, without stopping to eat, sleep or use the bathroom. Yeah, I was that into it. It was that great.

I loved all of the characters a lot, although Joshua-kun really bugged me up until the end of Neku-kun’s seven days with him as his second partner. I was like, “NOOOOOO!” when he did what he did in the end of the seventh day. I wanted to cry. That’s when I found out that I had actually secretly fallen in love with his character. Yeah, he’s my favourite one. He’s a lot like me in some ways. Hard  to believe, I know, but its true. I swear.

The ending was great and I’ve totally fallen in love with Jyongri-san’s voice after hearing her Japanese version of “Lullaby For You”. Aw. What a voice. I mean, I have listened to her songs, and liked them, before but this really hit the spot. Its kind of funny, though, she and Utada Hikaru-san are so alike; they’re voices, styles and they even belong to the same record label. Hmm. I wonder how that happened.

Well, anyways, if you haven’t played “The World Ends With You”, I truly encourage you to play it, even if it’ll be the only game you ever play in your life, play it. Its a great game. You’ll be sure to enjoy it some way or another. And, if you’re also a fan of Nomura Tetsuya-san’s work, you won’t be disappointed.

Go play it…now :3

Okay, I forgot to add this on my last post, but I wanted to share my romantic story with whoever bumps into my blog and reads this. As I stated in a previous post, I am Japanese and am a HUGE fan of the South Korean boy band called ‘Dong Bang Shin Ki’ but they started a career in Japan and are called ‘Tohoshinki’ there. I have been a huge fan since they had first debuted in Japan, which was in 2004 I think. So, yeah, a big fan.

My boyfriend, who just also happens to be Japanese, knows that I am a fan and he is kind of a fan as well. Alright, back to the story, it was the day after my birthday when he called me early in the morning. Here is our small conversation:

Hiro (my boyfriend): Get outside right now! I’m waiting outside your house!

Me (only half awake): What?

Hiro: You heard me! Get outside right now so we can spend the day together.

Then, he hung up. I ran out of my room and down the stairs really fast and opened the door to yell at him. I was about to ask him what the heck he was doing on my porch at 7:30 in the morning, but he was smiling so nicely at me. He laughed at my Hamtaro pyjamas and told me to go back inside and get ready. I was pretty love-struck by his smile and obeyed with a smile, running back up the stairs to get ready.

My parents and older brother were still sleeping, so when I was done getting ready, I left them a note saying not to worry about me, I’d be back later and that I was with Hiro and his parents (they would have grounded me for life if they knew I was with him alone, which I was).

So, we spent the entire day together. He took me out for breakfast and then we ate lunch at the park, kind of like a picnic. We went to the mini little fair going on a block from his house and then by supper time, he took me down to the pond where he and I used to play together as kids. Yeah, we were cute.

He pulled out his iPod and put the volume on full blast. He smiled at me and asked me to dance. I looked at him in confusion, wondering if he was ill; Hiro never danced, it was apart of his macho man act. Then, he started playing Tohoshinki’s song called “Begin”. I started crying as we slow-danced to it on the shore of the pond beneath the sun and trees. I was crying because of the meaning in the song (I have the lyrics and translations below). Plus, Hiro whispered this is my ear:

“Mina, I don’t really know quite yet what love is. But, from what I know about it right now, I love you.”

Yeah, that’s all I can really say about it right now because I’m starting to get teary-eyed just typing about it.

Here are the lyrics. I actually put the parts where each member of Tohoshinki sings. Also, the translation is below. Listen to the song if the imeem linky thingy works ^_^ :

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * English translation Micky Yoochun

It’s okay if you cry when you want to,
It’s not unreasonable.
When a tear dries, a smile lights up your face.
Look, you are already laughing.

Xiah Junsu

The future is confusing
But we are not defeated, we desire courage.

Hero Jaejoong

Every day and night with you,
I take your hand.
Every day every night everywhere,
Now we feel connected and verified.
Now, let the story begin.

U-KNOW Yunho

You turn away to avoid my intentions,
But I like you.
When we are separated, we can share something.
Yes… if we have these feelings.

Xiah Junsu

I cannot say “goodbye” to yesterday,
The unsteady hours are wasted.

Hero Jaejoong

Every day and night with you,
The heat and sparks form without cooling down,
Every day every night everywhere,
Now our contact increases,
Now, you and I begin.
Max ChangminI am like reality,
(Baby I need your love, need your touch)
(Baby I need your love, need your touch, baby)
In the darkness of the night I am scared,
(You tell me now)
But I’m not alone.

Hero Jaejoong

Every day and night with you,
I take your hand.
Every day every night everywhere,
Now we feel connected and verified.
Now, let the story begin.
Every day and night with you,
The heat and sparks form without cooling down,
Every day every night everywhere,
Now our contact increases,
Now, you and I begin.

Begin - Tohoshinki

So, I turned 16, finally, last Tuesday ^_^ I can finally start my driving tests. Yes, look out for me world, and be prepared for disaster!

It was a great birthday, although the horrible hail, thunder and lightning storm caused the tree in my backyard to fall over and crash onto my house while I was blowing the candles out on my birthday cake wishing for ‘World Peace’. Yes, I took it as a sign from God ^_^ (No one was hurt in the process; you can stop worrying)

However, it truly was a great Sweet Sixteen. Yes, very memorable lol. I had a lot of fun with my friends and cousin. They planned an unwanted and totally expected surprise party that was completely obvious, but I played along with it and actually had tons of fun.

I got an awesome birthday card from my cousins in Japan. They asked me if I wanted to visit them next summer for my birthday. I was like, “Are you kidding?! Of course I want to!” That was totally a ‘no-brainer’; I’ve been begging my older brother, cousin and parents to take me to Japan for years but they just ignored me after awhile. Yeah, I am a very persistent kid.

Well, I am totally wiped from working eight hours straight everyday. Yes, I am a working girl and have been in the work force for three years now and am proud. I don’t get paid as much as I would like to, but that’s fine. I like the experience; I was brought-up to have a very bright outlook on life. My parents did a good job *cough* *sarcasm*. Yes, a very good job indeed.

Notice how many times I’ve italicized the word ‘very’ ^_^ I’m so cool.

My cousin and I got to the Toronto FC soccer game, which was thrilling yet very disappointing at the same time because of the referee’s calls and the players kind of stinked today >_< Oh well, my cousin and agree that it was still a very good trip.

About the CN Tower, we got there at about 7 PM, it was raining and there were a lot of tourists in line to go up before us. My cousin and I figured that we came too late, and the workers behind the Ticket Booths told us that it would be a two hour wait before we could go up. Plus, the CN Tower closes down every night at 10 PM so by the time we got up there, it wouldn’t be worth the long wait T_T

So, we decided that since it was pouring and we would have to wait two whole hours just to go up the tower for less than an hour, we would come back earlier on a nice day in August =] Yay, another excuse for  the two of us to get together again! I’m so excited.

The trip home was safe and enjoyable; I annoyed my cousin by blasting the radio with really old girly songs like “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton, “Cry” by Mandy Moore, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, “Barbie Girl” by Aqua, “Man I Feel Like A Woman” by Shania Twain and ”Wannabe” by the Spice Girls. Oh yes, he had a splendid ride with me ^_^

Although I was thrilled with the trip and was always excited about something, I’m a little depressed because none of the pictures I took with my digital camera are showing up clearly on my computer >_< I wanted to put up some awesome pictures here on my blog but oh well.

I got to spend a lot of time with my cousin and I also got free Toronto FC soccer stuff so I can’t complain too much about the trip; I’m happy ^_^

Since I live quite close to Ontario’s capital, Toronto, I am able to get there within a two hour drive =)

My cousin is taking me there tomorrow to do two things: go up the CN Tower and then go see the Toronto FC soccer game. It’s going to be so much fun since I haven’t been up the CN Tower yet and my cousin hasn’t either. He didn’t want to go up, but I’m dragging him up there with me :3 He’ll thank me when its all over.

I’ll tell you how it goes when I get back =D

I have the song “The Peace” by Morning Musume stuck in my head, so I’ll try to play it sometime on my blog once I figure it all out and get my questions answered. If you’ve never heard of Morning Musume before and like Japanese music, you should go google them ^_^ That’s right, I’m converting you to become a Morning Musume fan like myself.

The Peace - Morning Musume

Hello everyone who is reading this, my name is Mina and I am new member here ^.^ Please welcome me with kindness.

To introduce myself, my name is Mina and I will be turning sixteen within two weeks. I have been a fan of Hello Kitty since it was first aired on television and am proud. I am part Japanese but do not actually live in Japan, unfortunately. My favourite colours are purple and orange, and I love bananas and strawberries. I love Morning Musume and Tohoshinki! So, if you are a fan please comment. I enjoy reading manga, watching anime, playing soccer, climbing trees, playing the kazoo, eating upside down, pushing things with wheels, and poking prickly objects. Yes, I am known for being quite odd, but very lovable :3

There, that is my introduction. I am looking for friends so please don’t be shy to comment or send me a message.

Please welcome me :)
