Hahahaha…. this event held on Saturday 28 Mac 2009 at Universiti Kuala Lumpur .

i was participating as a student from UTeM(University Technical Malaysia) one of the academies that participating un the event…

we were sent in two category, degree and diploma…. with each consiof 5 groups of 3 peoples… means our academy sent 10 groups to participate….

there are 3 categories…. each divided to diploma and degree category…

first there is Theory category, where student will be evaluate by online test. the marks calculated by the sum of all 3 peoples in a group… so to advance to the second category… all 3 people must get a good marks…

only 10 groups will move to the 2 stage, Network Hardware category. to be fair, only 2 groups of 1 academy can enter the 2nd stage… so even if all the team inan academy got the highest marks, only 2 highest of them can move to the 2nd stage… this is set to give chance for other academy to participate in 2nd stage…

all the others student that dont get to 2nd stage, will compete individually in Network Simulation : Packet Tracer category… im participating in this category… 

during the competition for the 3rd category…. the row that i sat got a litlle( not so little problem, considring this is acompetition that we need to race who complete the fastest and answered correctly…

the pc that i use always restarting… which is very frustrating… then i try to move to the next lab, searching for available pc… but un fortunately there is no pc available in that lab… all the participant already doing what the question ask…

have no other choice… i use the pc that always restarting again… well i have no choice… its really frustrating… it restarting again and again…. dont remember how many times already… two of my friend already give up because of that… but i still continue… waiting for the pc booting again…

dont know for what times already the pc is restarting…. filling with anger… i do the question hastily… then when i look at the paper… “eh?, is tit like this” …

i raised my hand and ask the judge, he check it, then said, “ok, ur finished”

wah! i cant belive this…. my friend even said that i do it really fast…. just like in around a few minutes, i finished the question, all the other got the same question…. but i seem im lucky to finished it before everyone else while having the difficulties…hahahaha…

wel this is the result that my academy achieve that day…

because i dont actually remember the winners from other academy…

hahahaha….. all of them are my classmate…. hehehehe…. for the Network Simulation Category, there is 1 to 5 place… so all the place for that category are won by UTeM student! so happy!

so much fun for a very tiring day…..

UCSCBC ‘09? what that?

hahahah that is actually a competition that was held in the university i study…

it means “UTem CISCO Skill Based Competition 2009″

around 80 participant registered…. or more for the competition…

quite alot of poeple came to the competition considering it was raining early

in the morning…. the competition start around 9 a.m..

the competition is open for the student of University Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM)

it was open competiton, so the participant will compete in one category….

not dividing the participant between diploma or bachelor degree…

im among of the participant from “diploma of information and communication technology” class student… the other student entering are from “Bachelor in Computer Science (Computer Networking)” class… most of them

the competition is divided to 2 phase…

first phase is online test… where students will be test on theory…

on second phase…… they announced 30 name of student with top marks…

to compete in category A…. then they will be assign a group of 3 student. Each group will be tested on their practical knowledge, configuring a network using hardware: router, switch…etc…

other students …. then compete in category B… where they will be tested individually on their practical knowledge with simulation software (Packet Tracer) .

that how the competition goes…

ok….

after the phase 1 finish…. i feel a little unsatisfied because they were some problem while im doing the online test… well… it happen to aother students too…. and happen to many of them…

but when the 30 names were announced… im somewhat surprised when i hear my name  is among the 30 names that will advance to category A… yay! maybe im lucky(thanks God!) … i thinks they are many people who get higher marks than me…. but maybe because of the problem earlier… i dont know…. just guessing… well im not a type of student who study hard… i almost dont study at all….

well, then in the category A, i was assigned a group with my classmate… both girls… whaa!!!  it so much fun in the competition… i have so much fun being bossy… hehehehe… asking them to do this, do that, while im configuring the other thing… ahh, sorryy….. it just my nature…

we dont win the category…. but the last result is… the firs place goes to a group of diploma student O_O… yay! diploma student rocksss! in the other category, category B, there are also many of my classmate that got prizes… Yes!!!
