Choosing Your Web Browser
We all know that web browsers enable us to surf the Internet. But what surprises me the most is that there are still a lot of people out there who don’t know that other browsers besides Internet Explorer exists. Here is a simple guide to what browser you may want to use. I will be stating their pros and cons after the link. Take note that these are my personal opinions and experience with these browsers since I have all 3 on my computer.
Internet Explorer
Perhaps the most popular browser out there that comes in all Windows (and some Apple) computers.
Pros:
1. It is readily available on every Windows PC.
2. Integrates seamlessly with Windows.
3. Lots of features when used with the Windows Live product line.
Cons:
1. Slow load time especially when you try to load a site full of stuff on it.
2. Internet Explorer has some known security issues so you’ll need to update it (along with Windows) regularly.
Mozilla Firefox
Perhaps the 2nd best browser out there. It is preferred by the more “geek” and “tech” savvy person. According to others, it is perhaps the safest and fastest browser out there right now. You can get it at http://www.mozilla.com which should download and install in less than 5 minutes.
Pros:
1. Fast loading of sites.
2. Increased security and handling of annoying pop-ups.
3. Lots of custom plugins to suit your needs.
Cons:
1. When the browser crashes due to some error, it takes a lot out of your computer and sometimes needs a restart.
2. Supports less CSS styles (Web page styles that determine the layout) than Internet Explorer.
Opera
I used to think that Opera was just another browser that was a waste of time but when I used it more and to my surprise, it appears to be the most stable browser that I have used so far. It has the same speed that Mozilla does and it also supports plugins.
Pros:
1. More stable than Internet Explorer and Mozilla.
2. Same speed as Mozilla.
Cons:
1. Strangely enough, some sites with weird designs don’t display correctly on Opera.
2. Opera seems to use the memory of the computer more and will slow down your computer unless you restart frequently.
So here are the three browsers that I recommend. I’m not saying that you have to choose among the three but try using them all at once so that you can figure out which is the best for you.

I use Firefox and I’ve noticed that you can’t embed videos with either firefox v2 or v3. If I bring up IE I can embed just fine…just fyi.

@Kawaii_Ninja: Embedding on the blogs? You might be set on “Visual”. Remember you need to set to “Code” when you put anything with HTML code. Just click on the “code” tab on top of the editor so it will switch to that.
