How to add Technorati Tags to your posts.
What exactly are technorati tags?
Well, if you have been to a few blogs they contain some “tags” in the posts.These tags link back to Technorati, a site that makes lists of blogs of the same interest. Its sort of like a phone directory for blogs. The tags are actually topics that people make. So if someone makes a topic about “hello kitty” their blog will appear on the list and this means more people get to see it.
So how do I add them?
All you have to do is first switch to the “code” mode of your blog and enter this:
<a href=”http://technorati.com/tag/[tagname]” rel=”tag”>[tagname]</a>
You have to change [tagname] into an actual name that you want to use. So if you want to use something like “love”, just type:
<a href=”http://technorati.com/tag/love” rel=”tag”>love</a>
If you are going to add a tag that contains 2 or more words then do the following:
<a href=”http://technorati.com/tag/[tagname]+[tagname]” rel=”tag”>[tagname tagname]</a>
Just replace the [tagname] areas to the tags you want. For example, you want to add “hello kitty” just type this:
<a href=”http://technorati.com/tag/hello+kitty” rel=”tag”>hello kitty</a>
Where do I put these tags?
Just put them at the end of your post, or at the beginning of your post so it can look nice and clean.
