CakeX7

:’D Hi there! Over my semester turn-over break, I decided to attempt to do some baking. XD <3 and I chose to make a yummy pudding cake! C: I’ve made a chocolate one with strawberries according to a recipe {link far below} a couple months ago ~ but I wanted to make one in the shape of Hello Kitty ~ *u* So I made a vanilla one instead ! >:’D Hehe, there is no set recipe for this really. ^^ so as a note ~ x3 the instructions and ingredients are based off of my way of doing this . XD If you chose to use your own recipes they will definitely be different X3 but I will be explaining the simplest way. :’D Here we go ! X3

To make a pudding cake you will neeeed ~

One box of cake mix. ^u^ I used Betty Crocker’s Super Moist: Rainbow Bits for this particular cake. *u* ~ but feel free to substitute your own cake recipe/flavor of choice. XD I was just really craving this type. @u@;

  • +1 1/4 Cups {3OO mL} of Water or Milk
  • +1/3 Cups {75 mL} of Vegetable/Canola Oil
  • +3 Eggs

A Package of Jello Instant Pudding. I used the vanilla one. :’o
Again ~ you can always substitute this with another type of pudding. c:
This is just what I would use. XD

  • +2 cups of milk !

CookingArt-puchi Now let’s get baking ! C:

O1. First ! Heat the oven to 35o degrees F {180 C}.
O2. Mix the cake ingredients in a bowl, as directed on the box ! *U* {cake mix, water/milk, oil, and eggs}
O3. Split the cake batter evenly into two 9” round baking pans !
O4. Bake for approximately 23-28 min !
O5. Let both cakes cool , and take them out from the pan ~
O6.
Poor the pudding mix into a bowl, and mix with milk.

O7. -CUT THE CAKE INTO A SUPER AWESOME HELLO KITTY SHAPE- C: If desired LOL , a round cake works perfectly fine and also makes less of a mess. X3

O8.
Place one of the cakes onto a plate, and spread on some pudding until the top is completely covered. *O*
O9. Stack the other cake on top of that , and spread the rest of the left-over pudding over it. C:

1O. Decorate the cake if you would like. *U*~
11. REFRIGERATE & EAT. :’D WOOHOO .
Make sure it’s covered. : ( or else your cake will become dry ! > A<

CakeXcooking

> A< WELL , BASICALLY. { condensed version XD;;; }
O1; Get a box of cake mix :’D ! Follow the directions on the back. ^^
O2; Split the cake mix evenly between two 9” round pans. C: BAKE !
O3; Get a box of instant pudding mix. ^^ and follow the directions as listed.
O4; Spread some pudding over one cake until the top is completely covered. c:
O5; Stack the second cake over top, and cover that with pudding as well. :’D
O6;
Decorate, refrigerate, eat and be merry! X3

CakeX1
2 baked cakes. * U* ! taken out of the pans , and set aside to cool ! C:

CakeX2
I cut the cake into the shape of hello kitty ! > A<
and started to added the pudding between ~ *U* <3

CakeX3

ingredients:

cake:

5 eggs

2 glasses of sugar

1 glass of coke

1 tea cup of grated coconut

1 tablespoon of chemical leavening

2 glasses of wheat flour

syrup:

1 can (9,5 fl oz/280ml) of condensed milk

7 fl oz (200ml) of coconut milk

1/2 chalice of cocoa liqueur

2 cans (19 fl oz/560ml) of milk

frosting:

1 bar (2 lbs/1kg) of semisweet chocolate

2,5 cups of hydrogenated fat

preparation

cake:

put the eggs’ glairs in a mixer, until they look like a meringue. join the yolks, one by one, mixing non-stop. then, join the sugar, the grated coconut and the flour. the glass of coke and the leavening come last. keep mixing just enough time so you get an homogeneous mixture. in a coated pan, put the cake in the pre-heated oven for 30 to 50 minutes (check every 5 minutes - stick a fork in it; if it comes out clean, the cake is ready), or until it’s completly baked (the time depends on the oven).

mix all the ingredients from the syrup (heating is not necessary);

when you take the cake out of the oven, take a fork and stick it all around the cake’s surface, so the syrup can penetrate in it. pour the syrup, and make sure that spreads perfectly.

when the cake gets cool, cut it in square pieces (but keep it in the pan!!), and put it in the freezer for a whole day.

at the next day, take the pieces of the cake out of the freezer, and dip each one in the frosting - melt the chocolate and the hydrogenated fat by heating them on a pan.

after dipping the cake in the melted frosting (it gets hard with the cooling process, so take the chocolate pan to the stove and worm it up again when it starts to get cold) put the pieces of the cake on a bowl, and put it in the freezer again, for at least another day.

the cake can be kept in the freezer for 3 months. at the day that you are going to eat it, take it out of the freezer, wrap it in alluminum paper (just for the presentation) and put it in the freezer again, till it’s time to serve. don’t take the cake out of the freezer to soon, ’cause it should be eated frozen.

perfect for parties and special ocasions, and you can make sculptures or compose art works with colorful wrapping around the cake cubes!!

here I annexed some photos from some mine and my brother’s birthday parties, when the marvelous cake-bonbon-ice cream had always being a huge success.

This is a nice sea food pasta made with olive oil sauce.

shellfish-pasta1

shellfish-pasta2

Ingredients (serve 2)

  • 12 King prawns
  • 400 g (14 oz) conchiglie pasta shells

    Sauce

  • 300 ml (10 fl. oz) olive oil (dont worry, it wont be too oily even it looks much oil to use)
  • olive oil for frying
  • 1 ripe plum tomato, chopped
  • 12 vine cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 bulb of fennel, roughly chopped  (skipped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, coarsely chopped (skipped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh tarragon, coarsely chopped (skipped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chervil, coarsely chopped (skipped)
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped (skipped)
  • 1/2 fresh onion, roughly chopped (I added it by myself)
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper powder (I added myself)
  • 1 tbsp dill herbs (I added myself)

    Method

    1. Preheat the oven to 140°C/275°F/Gas mark 1. (skipped)

    2. Peel the prawns and remove the heads, but do not discard them. Then butterfly the prawns by cutting vertically along the spines. Clean out the brown waste.

    3. Season the vine tomatoes, then put them on a baking tray and into the oven for up to 1 1/2 hours until dried. (I did not use oven, just pan-fried)

    4. Heat a little olive oil in a pan and fry the heads and shells of the prawns. A red colour will seep from the shells.

    5. Add the plum tomato, fennel and olive oil and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and crush the shells and heads into the oil with a potato masher.

    6. Leave the mixture to infuse in a warm area in the kitchen for 20 minutes.

    7. Strain the oil through a conical strainer/sieve. The sediment should come through but not the bits of shell. You‘ll be left with a delicious shellfood oil, which can be stored in a lidded jar in the fridge and used over the next couple of days.

    8. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet, drain and add 4–6 tbsp of the shellfish oil.

    9. Fry the prawns lightly in a little olive oil for 2 minutes, until fully (but not over-) cooked.

    10. Add the prawns, oven-dried tomatoes, chervil, tarragon and chives to the pasta. Finally, add the chilli and serve immediately.

    Although I had skipped some ingredients but it’s still very delicious!  And you can try the original recipe if you want.
