Everyone in my family went to eat a brunch of Dim Sum with some of my relatives to start out the day. The food was pretty good.

This is not a picture of the food we ate, but this is an example of dim sum.

We also drank some Chinese tea along with it, which I don’t have a picture of…….

After our relatives left, we dropped by at the Toronto Science Centre. I wonder why “center” is “centre” in Canada. :o

This is not mine either, by the way.

Anyways, the science centre was very interesting and educational. It contained this very cool rock exhibit with a bunch of very very very very old rocks. And some were really smooth! And another felt like wood! Very interesting. My favorite rock was a smooth rock with a sort of black “aisle” down the middle.

When we were done, we went to the space exhibit. It was very cool. You could learn about the birth of the universe; see models of the planets; learn about black holes, stars, and galaxies; and much more! Soon we had to leave to go to a movie. It was about Mars, how we are someday going to land people on it, and how that, for now, they will use Spirit and Opportunity (robots)to learn more about Mars. We even got to see them build them! They reminded me vaguely of Wall-E. =D

Afterwards, we went to the special Mars section, where Vincent almost lost his little doll dolphin, which he adores. Then, we went to the human body section. It was very interesting. However, I did not see all of it before it was time to go.

We were originally planning ot drop by Chinatown, but upon arrival, we couldn’t find any parking spaces, so we went to my relatives’ house, to have some soup an strawberries before setting off for a big dinner. I never knew I had so many relatives. =D We ate at Wasabi, and there was this piece of cake that tasted SO good! It was chocolatey, and I don’t know how to describe it! After eating, we stayed there at Wasabi until it was 9. Then, we had to go back to my mom’s aunt’s house to pack up and go to sleep (which I am currently doing besides blogging). Good night! (Or morning, or whatever) :P

Today was spent traveling from Washington DC to Canada. We stopped to look at the US Niagara Falls (or Eagle Falls). We arrived at my mom’s aunt’s house very late. That was basically it! =D

Today we went to Monticello. It is very pretty. My favorite room in the house was Thomas Jefferson’s bedroom. There was a bed in the wall. And in the dining room, I saw a dumbwaiter and a “hot chocolate duck”. In the backyard, there was a hole in the trees to view the University of Virginia, for when Jefferson was planning the university, he was too old to climb onto a horse to ride down the hill to see it. I thought that was cool. I also bought a huge pencil, a long skinny one, and a huge Sacagawea dollar coin at the gift shop. Our next stop was Jamestown. Over there, I learned about life in Jamestown through galleries. There were Indian arrowheads too. And there were replicas of James Fort, the ships the people came in, and an Indian village. The belowdecks of the ships were very small and stuffy-hot. The Indian village was filled with animal skins, but they are Indians, right? I think James Fort was my fave though. It was very cool. It depicted storage buildings, schoolhouse, and houses which were rather small compared to our house. There was also a gun demonstration that made my heart rattle when the person shot the gun. At the gift shop, I bought a Powhatan teddy bear, some postcards, a pin, and a pencil.  For dinner, we ate at Marino’s and it was so QUIET. (It’s an Italian restaurant) By the way, outside of Jamestown Festival Park, there was a place where all 50 states’ flag was shown. There was also an American flag there and a fountain. =D

At 4:55 AM, I woke up to start our first day of vacation! After about one and a half hours of packing (Dad did it all), we started the long journey out of Texas at precisely 6:30 AM.

After a break at a McDonald’s (still in Texas), we continued on until we reached a picnic area. There we ate our lunch (in Texas). At 12:26 PM, we arrived at Louisiana! We all cheered! Finally, we were out of Texas! The rest of the journey was spent reading, resting, dancing around at gas stations (to keep our blood circulated), and working on lanyards!

At 4:23 PM, we entered Mississippi. And at 5:57 PM, after eating dinner on the road (hot dogs), we entered our destination state, Alabama! Still, we didn’t arrive at our hotel until 9:30. So, I was a bit surprised. Anyway, I better go to bed, for tomorrow we are going to Tuskegee Institute!

Mommy sort of got mad at us yesterday night for not completing our work and not going to bed @9:30.  Well, it was sort of our fault.  And I’m glad Mom let us blog tonight =D

Well, to catch you up  on my tama…..

It evolved into a kusatchi!  Actually I wanted a whaletchi or a dorotchi.  Ah well.  I’m happy! =D

Very happy with myself today.  I actually did all my work!  (*ahem*except for maybe practicing clarinet and violin and doing my Chinese homework*ahem*)

=D

As my topic may suggest, yes, I am actually going to go to another country besides the U.S. !  *even though it’s Canada, US’s neighboring country* But I’m excited too.  We were planning to just drive up to the East and maybe Toronto and Quebec City in July or something, but Big Sis ended up getting accepted into MIT!  So now we’re going to drop off Big Sis and help her move into her dormin the process.  And we’re going to be going in August now.  However, my bro. and I will have to miss the first week of school.  =(

Actually, it’s not too bad, but missing the first week of school in a brand new school, hmm………

More about summer vacation later!  Right now it’s 9:24 and I want to go and read a bit of Big Sis’s blog for a while before going to bed…..  So bye!
