Yesterday, I logged into the game after a long absence (close to 6 months after the new year). All I could think was “wow…it’s so dead.” I also noticed I was removed from the Dreamers guild, either because of the length of my absence or because they were automatically disbanded due to the server transfer. If I was removed due to absence, I guess I’d understand it better if they were making room for more active members. But out of the 52 people on my friends’ list (probably a small number compared to other players), I haven’t even seen more than 5 online. So I’m hoping my removal was due to the server transfer, which makes more sense to me.

But regardless of why I’m now guildless, I’m actually debating on whether or not I want to join back or remain guildless because it seems that I wasn’t the only one who got bored with this game. I thought that after the Christmas events of 2009 they’d add more features, maybe some new stuff in the Item Mall or even open up Tokyo or New York, but I was wrong. I’m still doing the Pet Quests and doing some new Material Merchant Quests but once they’re finished…what next? I’ve sort of been thinking of starting my own guild but that’s a lot of work and I’ll probably leave the game for weeks or months at a time. I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to invest in my own guild, my old guild, or even this game.

I decided to keep track of just how ridiculously long it took me to obtain some of the pet cards. I’ll be editing as I go along.

On Wednesday, December 2nd at 10:51 PM, I finally unlocked the door to the Golden Palace in London and rescued Hello Kitty, thus completing all available quests (aside from the pet card quests which I decided to save for last). It was a bittersweet end because I was happy to have made it so far but sad that I wouldn’t have any more storyline quests, at least until New York and Tokyo open (which I hope will be soon). Now that I’m finished with each city’s quests, I’m working on the first pet card quest and there’s definitely a reason why I (and other players) have saved those for last. It’s monotonous and just plain irritating. Not to mention the fact that the rewards simply aren’t appropriate for such time consuming tasks.

I also want to mention how proud and happy I am to be a member of the Dreamers guild. I have such awesome guildmates who love to help each other, even other players outside the guild. They’re generous, kind, helpful, and funny. Now that I’ve finished the main quests, I think I’ll focus on finishing the pet card quests, help out my fellow guildmates and any other player who needs help, and await the opening of new towns. I’m really looking forward to the Christmas events!
