Hi everyone,

Founder’s Beta is starting real soon so this will be the final entry made up of Closed Beta screenshots. Woot!!

Can’t wait to meet everybody, including GM-Calealen, who is old XP… and Karen/Plutochan, Starrfire, msmisery, iheartbadtz, fairlady, Noliai, foxy cleo, angie, bunnywinx, chickling, kiyoko, victor5, havel, theola, tidesong, videogamer, hkfood, sailor scouts, Sailoria, BBE, Dawn, Kel, Little Wonder, NoMeNot!, MidNiteEyes, Kaioh, shesroyaltee, and the list goes on… omg, sometimes like Yingdong, I wish can I belong to several guilds all at once! Muahahaha… Anyway this picture was instigated by GM-Tadakatsu.

Remember all the houses we built in ripplecloud’s virtual musces at work scrapblog? Well of all these houses, we almost couldn’t complete BBE’s!

And that is not because BBE had fallen asleep while playing the game (although she does that at times! XD; who wouldn’t if one has a big fat Dino for a pillow ;P )

In fact, at one point BBE had completed her house, BUT it disappeared again! Rollback? Possibly.  Whatever the reason, all we could do was to roll back our sleeves and start whacking at her house again.

But at late afternoon Asia time, there was nobody else from the guild online :O So the house building went really slowly, with only the two of us cultivating it.

Imagine our surprise when a cute blond appeared before our eyes and said:

• “I am Sailor Moon, the champion of justice. In the name of the moon, I will right wrong and triumph over evil… and that means my guild will help you build your house!“

She was Sailoria, the leader of Sailor Scouts guild.

By the way, her birthday seems to be around the corner.

What a kind and generous offer! But it took quite a while for BBE and I to leave Made in Holland and join the Sailor Scouts. :( It’s surprising how one can get attached to something in a few short weeks.

But at the click of a button, our new allegiance was sealed. And more sailor scouts appeared out of nowhere to help build BBE’s house. Woot!

The guild chat was buzzing with activity as we whacked at the house. Sailoria told us about how her guild had completed all their houses. Since she was free, she started visiting other houses and found Debbie building her house all by herself! Sailoria offered to help her then, and that was how the Rescue the Homeless movement started.

[Note: I was always feeling guilty because Debbie had PM-ed me for help but I couldn’t leave BBE’s house :( So I am still extremely glad that Sailoria found and helped her when she did. ]

BBE’s house was soon completed! But that was not the end of this story. Some of the Made in Holland friends came online and joined the Sailor Scouts in helping the homeless as well! There was Kel, NoMeNot!, MidNiteEyes, Kaioh, LittleWonder :D It was as if we were all infected with Sailoria’s energy (and she was energetic considering she had gone without sleep for 24 hours!) and we went on to help with the other homeless players.

There is a bug somewhere in this picture :P

And then another…

It is awful to be building while standing ankle deep in water :( I strongly advise against this padi-field themed farm! …. XP ok I am joking …

All the time, Sailoria was coordinating with GM-Hak to deploy construction volunteers where needed. GM-Hak (the brown guy with the caterpillar) was also walking around the farms to ensure we don’t run out of juice.

We started on Micher’s house pretty late and even the GMs were unsure if we could make it, although they said it was worth a try.  Perhaps we were the last house building, so there were people stopping by to see the last ditch effort. It was like a house party, without a house :P

We tried the best we could, but as the clock ticked by and Micher kept being disconnected, we could not complete this house in time. :( But Micher was very grateful and even sent us an email after that. I hope you are getting along well in life Micher, wherever you are!

In the final minutes to the end of HKO Closed Beta, we gathered together in Florapolis at Daniel’s platform and waited for the end.

Hang in there Saruchan and MozartBach! I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed that you get your confirmation email and we’ll see you in the game real soon.

Meanwhile I’m just hanging around on my fence here… admiring the scenery… Help! Someone get me off of this fence…is that a pig or a donkey or a horse behind me? Whatever…. Help? Anyone?

One day in Hello Kitty Online Closed Beta-land, a little black Kittie that sort of of looked like a black fish ran into Hello Kitty’s Secret House to play. But, just as it ran in though the doorway, it got trapped by an evil space-warp bug :O and couldn’t move at all!

Frightened, the little black Kittie cried for help. Her cries were heard by a pair of pink-ish MidNiteEyes (staying up a little too late? XP) and a little blue sliver of ripplecloud. They floated into Hello Kitty’s house but were not of very much help. They couldn’t rescue poor Kittie but they stayed around and tried to comfort her as best as they could.

Poor Kittie was stuck for a long, long time. Meanwhile the GoodMan Tadakatsu also heard in the wind, Kittie’s cry for help. He wanted to rescue Kittie very much but he couldn’t open the magic door to Hello Kitty’s Secret House! :O

You see, the magic door will open only to magical creatures like MidNiteEyes, rippleclouds, and black Kitties (stuff that witches can throw into cauldrons or keep as pet familiars). It wouldn’t open at the command of good but ordinary man like Tadakatsu, even if he is a great fashion designer!

Finally Tadakatsu went to the Great Magician Green for help. The Great Magician Green transformed Tadakatsu into a purple Teletubby head in order to prepare him to start receiving some awesome magical powers. This power included an enchanted toilet-scrub-looking key to open stubborn doors and rescue Kittie damsels in distress! :D

And that was how Good Man Tadakatsu, with the help of his friend Great Magician Green, saved the day for Kittie and her friends :D

Hi everyone,

Some of us have gotten the confirmation email for Founder’s Beta already, but if you have not, don’t give up! After all, the HKO team has said that they are increasing the quota. So be patient alright?

Meanwhile, here’s a wee little preview of the makeup [shoutout to Fairlady-Z: Did you read me? I said Makeup! :D] in Hello Kitty Online Closed Beta. Hopefully there will be more variety in Founder’s Beta ^_^

It was still the last day of HKO Closed Beta (heehee, it’s a long day so I’ve broken it into parts.), GM-Tadakatsu who was back for lunch was continuing to give out clothes. As this was just a preview of the clothes, some of us ended up with the same clothes and looked like twins! XD Yup, just like the fishy-looking red umbrella twins Toki and Chichi you see here ;)

Then GM-Tadakatsu gave ripplecloud and the other CB testers yet another surprise and that was makeup! There were two to choose from. And since there was no way for us to see what they look like, ripplecloud somehow ended up demo-ing the two blushes for the rest on the street. *ahem, puts on best street hawker attitude*

After the demo, it was easy for everyone to decide which blush they wanted. For me, I was stuck with Blush 2 for the rest of the day because the blushes are like permanent tattoos!!

Oh there were moles too! But I don’t really fancy moles so I didn’t try that, erm, so no screenies hee hee, sorry!

I’m so stoked, I’m putting up some more screenies! You may have seen these before at Little Wonder’s blog, and then again in the forum… but here is the backstory! Enjoy ^^

As mentioned in ripplecloud’s last post on HKO Closed Beta, it was the last day of closed beta and we were wondering the streets of Florapolis in all sorts of new fashion wear. But after the GM doling out the new clothes went for lunch, it was time to get back to work again. We gotta help Kittie get her house up before it ends! (By the way if you are participating in Founder’s Beta, do think of some other nick because “Kitty” and all it’s other variations must be one of those nicks that get snapped up fast! :P) By the way, can you identify who is who in the screenie?

Somehow the conversation went on about that Pink Dinosaur of Kel’s and I asked her what its name was. Kel was deciding between naming it after her boyfriend’s name or Picklebutt. I don’t remember her friend’s name now but I did remark that it was hardly suitable for a Pink Dinosaur… and so it’s name became Picklebutt. But erm, Picklebutt doesn’t seem to be too pleased with the new name… see his angry raised eyebrows?? And so he did something naughty in Kittie’s garden :O   

(by the way Kel’s current nick is Gigglybutt ^^)

OK gals, and maybe some guys :P, we are now going into the last leg of ripplecloud’s HKO Closed Beta screenies… boo hoo…

Kindly understand that these screenshots have been edited and they were originally taken a few months back during the Closed Beta testing of HKO. The game is currently being improved and is not available for play. ^^

I hope the next Closed Beta is just around the corner and that I may take part too… :)

ripplecloud logged onto the HKO client, knowing that this is the last day of Closed Beta. She was sad, but also kind of relieved that the crazy house-building was coming to an end (to tell the truth :P)…

What she didn’t expect was to see this!

Note: In order not to create any misconceptions, you don’t get to see everyone’s nicks unless you mouseover them in the game e.g. NoMeNot!. I added the nicks for easier identification of some of the familiar players that we know ^^

The streets were more bustling than usual and what was with all the funky head gear? Is it some new activity?? Teletubbies vs Alien fishheads?? :O

Well, it seemed that GM-Tadakatsu (whom I’ve never heard of until the last day) was playing Santa Claus and giving closed beta testers a preview of the HKO fashion that will be available in Open Beta, by handing out free clothes to whoever wants them! So we were having an impromptu costume party! Omg, I wanted some tooo!!!!

But erm… … ok starrfire7! This was the first time I met starrfire7, by the way.. please to have met you ^^ Meanwhile the others hanging around seemed to have gotten tired of Tada being not around and Toki started to “poke” him virtually (No worries GM-Tadakatsu, nothing else was done to you besides poking :P)..

Everyone came to life when GM-Tadakatsu came back from AFK. It was “Tada, tada, I want this” and “Tada, Tada, I want that” and GM-Tadakatsu very patiently dealed out the goods :) I didn’t know what was available or what to ask for, so I asked GM-Tada for something blue but…

… bleah… talk about colour stereotypes! But it’s ok, I got a nice purple top in the end^^ Everyone liked the purple top :)

I was grateful so I gave Tada virtual ice-cream from the virtual picnic basket that NoMeNot! MidNiteEyes, BlondeBlueEyes and I were enjoying on our grass patch ^^.

People were still asking Gm-Tada for stuff. The Tada brand of clothing was in hot demand… is GM-Tadakatsu the next Takada Kenzo?? XD… I remembered Tada said he had a long skirt…

GM-Tada kept giving out clothes and forgot his lunch! Looks like the virtual food we kept stuffing him with earlier didn’t help at all muahahahahaha…

But there are still others coming online who haven’t gotten new clothes yet :\… so GM-Tada stayed on a little longer… and everyone was very happy ^^…

So finally Tada went off for lunch, but not before he sat himself comfortably by the side of the road and this was what happened - photo taking session wahahahaha … The people are in pink were members of the Made in Holland guild. ;)

Wouldn’t it be great if there’s actually a “Hyde Park” in London where we can all sit around for community get-together and picnics XD…

Hi everyone!

ripplecloud now has a MySpace page! Check it out if you are interested :) I’ve got a couple of Sailor Scouts and SanrioTowners on my friends list already ^^

One day, while everyone in Florapolis is busy huffing and puffing away and getting their houses built before the end of closed beta, the news was posted on hellokittyonline.com that there will be a Lucky Seven Me and My Pet Pageant.

Ripplecloud was really excited because it seemed like something easy to do. Easy compared to growing oranges >.< or hunting for all 7 pet cards by yourself for two events announced earlier. These ripplecloud will forfeit because there wasn’t even enough time for building the house (yes this story happens before the house was built).

A meeting was called. Ripplecloud and the other guild members who read the news explained to the other meeting attendees that they needed to take a picture of 7 players with 7 different pets and send the picture to onlinegame@hellokitty.com to apply to join the event.

Unfortunately, ripplecloud’s new pet (yes, ripplecloud has a new pet BUT she hasn’t forgotten you Herman! Bless your soul in heaven ♥ ), Armani the Armadillo, refused to come out of his doghouse to join the event :( Has ripplecloud found herself yet another temperamental pet? Or is Armani the Armadillo just shy? ripplecloud couldn’t figure out either. But she does need Armani to come out and take a picture with the rest of the players and pets for the pageant application. We have a problem here.

ripplecloud PMed GM-Roan for help only to find that Roan and all the other players with armadillo pets are having the same problem. Is there an Armadillo United silent protest going on?

After some investigation, it seemed that the armadillos learned a type of magic that turned them invisible collectively, and then they didn’t know how to turn themselves back to being visible again! And they were so scared of being stepped on and squashed by everyone that they decided to just hide away in the safety of their doghouses and chew on bugs.

GM-Roan said the GMs were working on turning the armadillos visible again. In the meantime, if we could persuade the invisible armadillos to come out for a picture, we could go ahead and email that picture to apply for the event.

But you know what, it just didn’t make sense to take a picture with an invisible armadillo like the above… because there really is no proof whether I did have an armadillo or not. So for the next group picture, we decided to just stop being orderly :p

Luckily, there is a happy ending for all our invisible armadillos. The GMs made them visible again by the next day! :D

Scrapbooking seems to be the hot topic lately in the guild thread, so ripplecloud thought she’d do a scrapbooking post for this blog. Now do note that I have never made a scrapbook in my entire life(!), although I did try out some scrapbooking platforms before for research.

One of the websites I was more impressed with was www.scrapblog.com. It seems the Scrapblog team made certain enhancements after the time I tried it. The result? A fairly stable and flexible online photo tool for lazy people like me, with sharing options. I like. :)
Check out more housebuilding pictures in the digital scrapbook. This time I focused on housebuilding for the rest of the Made in Holland guild members. For me, it just interesting taking a walk down memory lane, looking through the chat box and remembering what we talked and laughed about, etc.

So here goes, the rest of the housebuilding story. You may see the dear-departed Herman in some of the pictures. *sniff*

I’m not sure if this video may be a little morbid. Tell me what you think.

Regardless, this video is specially dedicated to Havel and Videogamer, who suggested I try doing videos. Hope you like it.

Also to MidNiteEyes who came to look for me at Foggy Forest the other day with her hermit crab. Otherwise this video would have a different, and probably less dramatic ending :P

Yayyy!!!!!!!!!!!!…..

My house is done!! Here’s the footage from my security camera (no worries about scary monsters trespassing ^^) that shows guildees who came by to help and also other players who dropped to chat and make it not so dreary when I am alone ^^

It has been a long road building the house, as most of you in the game will agree ^^. We’ve all been through the same pain!

Special thanks to BBE who started my new house with the kind donation of 40k for Land Cert 4 and 80+ clovers. Yup, she’s one rich blond! ;)

And when all the materials are gathered and ready, let the whacking begin!

When the going gets tough, guildmates from all over the world pop by to spread the cheer! Dankie Lelani!

Of course, there are times when you just have to do it alone. Imagine my surprise when I return after I AFK to find Carmen silently building my house for me! When help comes unexpectedly, accept it and be thankful ^^!

So 1 person becomes 2, 2 becomes 3, 3 becomes 4, and more walls get built!

Also, not to forget my special guests who read this blog and dropped in unexpectedly in-game to chat - Erin (Marubadtz) and GM-WinWin, also Karen (Katsuko) who PMed me about her progress now and then. Somehow they were there at times when I am all alone and stoned/bored. Thank you very much ^^ for your company! I’m sorry the house was not built then and I couldn’t ask you in for tea :P. And sometimes, I’m not very good company myself cos I was so stoned :(

Sooner or later, guild friends come online again =D. Thanks Kaioh75, PrincessJStar and BBE for helping to build the 4th wall and the wicked pepto-pink door ^^ (Hmm looks like every other person has a centipede >.< yea, Kaioh75 told me it was a centipede not a caterpillar :P)

Even when one goes offline, another guild member will kindly appear to lend that much needed muscle. So it was that LittleWonder, Kaioh75 and BBE finally helped me get the house done ^^.

Thank you all Made in Holland guildees for your help!! I’m sorry I can’t mention all of yournames, since I no longer have a guild window to reference to :P

Yes, close beta is now over :( but I hope to see you guys soon in Open Beta ^^. It was such a fun and eventful day today!! But that will make for another post :P.
