We all know about herd mentality. In events like the current donation drive there are a lot of people in the guild easily influenced by the excitement and overall drive of the guild to do as much as they can to win.. or to donate as much as possible.. Some of these people are going to be forgoing sleep, feeling more stress, etc. And in a small map, with other guilds that you now see as competitors, add lag and maybe some headstrong younger players… its trouble waiting to happen…
And unfortunately it did happen. There was an incident yesterday that resulted in a young member of another guild being banned indefinitely. It is a shame, because in any other situation, that young member whom I do know would have been a nicer person. She would have behaved differently.
There are only so many GMs around.Since this is a guild event, Guild Leaders should do their part to make sure their guild members behave. I know Sailoria is just constantly reminding everyone in our guild to behave themselves and not make trouble. So I hope so far, we are ok with all the other guilds and that the other guilds have no issues with us.
And I strongly urge all guild leaders to continue making it more relaxed for players and closely monitoring when there are conflicts. Because when there are strong words exchanged, it only means somebody could be banned and many others coming out of this incident, sad or feeling ill will towards another guild. This is NOT the kind of community that any of us want to see in HKO.

I’d sad to hear about that incident. I had a similar sour experience in FB, and do not want to repeat that. So now I’m sitting in my farm, killing coffee trees. Which is fine, I like farming, it does contribute a needed item, and this also allows me to chat. But yes, basic courtesy should never take back-seat to anything.
