OK gals, and maybe some guys :P, we are now going into the last leg of ripplecloud’s HKO Closed Beta screenies… boo hoo…
Kindly understand that these screenshots have been edited and they were originally taken a few months back during the Closed Beta testing of HKO. The game is currently being improved and is not available for play. ^^
I hope the next Closed Beta is just around the corner and that I may take part too… :)
ripplecloud logged onto the HKO client, knowing that this is the last day of Closed Beta. She was sad, but also kind of relieved that the crazy house-building was coming to an end (to tell the truth :P)…
What she didn’t expect was to see this!
Note: In order not to create any misconceptions, you don’t get to see everyone’s nicks unless you mouseover them in the game e.g. NoMeNot!. I added the nicks for easier identification of some of the familiar players that we know ^^
The streets were more bustling than usual and what was with all the funky head gear? Is it some new activity?? Teletubbies vs Alien fishheads?? :O
Well, it seemed that GM-Tadakatsu (whom I’ve never heard of until the last day) was playing Santa Claus and giving closed beta testers a preview of the HKO fashion that will be available in Open Beta, by handing out free clothes to whoever wants them! So we were having an impromptu costume party! Omg, I wanted some tooo!!!!
But erm… 
… ok starrfire7! This was the first time I met starrfire7, by the way.. please to have met you ^^ Meanwhile the others hanging around seemed to have gotten tired of Tada being not around and Toki started to “poke” him virtually (No worries GM-Tadakatsu, nothing else was done to you besides poking :P)..
Everyone came to life when GM-Tadakatsu came back from AFK. It was “Tada, tada, I want this” and “Tada, Tada, I want that” and GM-Tadakatsu very patiently dealed out the goods :) I didn’t know what was available or what to ask for, so I asked GM-Tada for something blue but…
… bleah… talk about colour stereotypes! But it’s ok, I got a nice purple top in the end^^ Everyone liked the purple top :)
I was grateful so I gave Tada virtual ice-cream from the virtual picnic basket that NoMeNot! MidNiteEyes, BlondeBlueEyes and I were enjoying on our grass patch ^^.
People were still asking Gm-Tada for stuff. The Tada brand of clothing was in hot demand… is GM-Tadakatsu the next Takada Kenzo?? XD… I remembered Tada said he had a long skirt…
GM-Tada kept giving out clothes and forgot his lunch! Looks like the virtual food we kept stuffing him with earlier didn’t help at all muahahahahaha…
But there are still others coming online who haven’t gotten new clothes yet :\… so GM-Tada stayed on a little longer… and everyone was very happy ^^…
So finally Tada went off for lunch, but not before he sat himself comfortably by the side of the road and this was what happened - photo taking session wahahahaha … The people are in pink were members of the Made in Holland guild. ;)
Wouldn’t it be great if there’s actually a “Hyde Park” in London where we can all sit around for community get-together and picnics XD…

Haha, I remember meeting u too! I recognized yr nick cos I had been to your CB blog (I found it because it was Blog of the Week!) I have to confess I was excited to meet “in person” in HKO :) Thinking about it makes me miss HKO so much more …. I wanna to play it again so bad!!!

Waaah! You called on Silk! I love, love, love Silk, he’s my absolute favoritest character of all books I’ve read (hahaha! And yes, I know I’m raving!) Why’d I have to be a cranky old man?o_O Hahaha! My next favorite would be… Beldin (another cranky old man o_O), Lleldorin (hurray for airheaded archers!), Vella, Hettar, Barak, and of course, Garion.^_^

@batz, seeeeeeee! Cranky old men are the loveliest! *can’t believe I typed this statement - -… k, this is only applicable to this book we are talking about* My favourite scene is the one where they are potting the ships over the mountains with Barak and his idle men sniggering at the rest ^^
@ Lily Cat, I hope so, and I do think so! The GMs have been dropping hints none too subtly. Are you guys eating well in the tower? Take care of yourselves ok?
@Angie, according to my Histories of Cosed Beta :P.. It has been more than 3 months since it ended on 1st June. Time flies!

Hahaha! Yeah, I know! It sounds so disturbing if taken out of context.^_^ My favorite scene with the old men (really sounds wrong) was when Belgarath and Beldin started dancing gleefully when they realized Grolims can’t enter the land of the Dhralls (can’t remember what that place was called o_O) and Polgara was glaring at them. Hahahaha! The thought of those two prancing made me laugh so hard! Oh, and when Garion accidentally buried himself waist-deep on the ground when he tried to lift the rock with his mind and Silk and Hettar found him. Teared up from laughing so hard.^_^

Oh yeah, Dalasia! Dhrall is the place from the new series *facepalm* Cyradis is the Seeress of Kell, if I remember right.o_O Darn, need to read the books again!
Oh, another scene that was really minor but I found funny. When Aunt Pol asked Garion to light the candle with sorcery, and he found her tone funny since she sounded the same as when he was younger, so he was laughing as he lit the candle, with the hiccuping/giggling flame as a result.:P

It is! It’s in Malloreon, I think when Zakath captured them. I can’t seem to get over it, because I giggled my head off when I read it, and I still can’t help but laugh whenever I think about it.^_^ Is the book any good?

*mopes around* I’m sick :( Slept the whole day today… so nice… I could do with some light reading but I left the book in office! Bleah… Not too sure if it’s any good since I only started a few pages :P But then DWJ is another favourite author of mine ^_^
