Hello Kitty Treats

Monday, June 4th, 2007

hellokitty_treatsMy brother went to Cartimar again the other day because he and Mom needed some additional Japanese ingredients they had forgotten to buy during the first trip. I told him to take some picture of the Hello Kitty stuff there so that I’ll know what to buy next time…

And this particular picture here will be next on my “to buy” list.

Actually, the reason why I want to buy this is mainly because I have no idea what it is? xD;;;

My curiosity always gets the better of me… in particular, my wallet. xD

Anyone have any clue as to what this is? I get the funny feeling it’s a type of biscuit… From the looks of the picture, it’s a star-shaped biscuit…

Hm… I wonder if the different packets have different flavors? The picture from my brother’s camera phone is too blurry for me to tell…

Gah… I wonder when we’re going to Cartimar again? T_T My curiosity is killing me! Dx

When You’re Hungry… :9

Technically, I thought this was only available in Japan.

How glad I am to have come accross Little Tokyo in the Philippines. =D

Cartimar (I wonder if I spelled that right?) is selling Hello Kitty snacks directly imported from Japan. =D There are a lot of cute stuff in their little Japanese gorceries… so I went ahead and bought some… It’s quite cheap, considering… P65 (a little more that US$1) for a directly imported food item is not so bad…

I need to go back there soon… =x

Kuromi Maid Cafe

Mood: Sleepy…

Every otaku (anime fan) dreams of going to Japan one day. As geeky as it sounds, going to Japan for a foreign otaku is like going into the place where their favorite Anime series actually took place.

One place I want to go to Japan is into their Cafes. I have a sweet tooth and a taste for good coffee. I hear certain cafes serve beautiful, tiny cakes and desserts as well as the best coffee and espressos ever.

But I didn’t expect to see something like this:

kuromi_cafe01.jpg

It’s a Kuromi Maid Cafe. Well, that’s a picture of Kuromi in a maid costume and the waitresses, but this seems o be the trendy thing in Japan now a days…

I don’t think I’ll ever understand what the guys like in a girl wearing a French Maid outfit… Ever…

Anyone care to shed light on this topic?

No songs for today… Still have that “Uwa Uwa” song stuck in my head… LOL~

Chinese Sweets

Mood: Exhausted

I’m quite sleepy today since I was so excited in watching Bleach yesterday… Lol~ My fault entirely, but I hope I don’t fall asleep at work… *yawn*

I went to my sister-in-law’s Mom’s brithday party. It was a nice feast of my favorite Chinese foods~ *yum* I did find the dessert rather interesting…

I completely forgot what it’s called now… It’s basically like a meat bun, only there’s sweet bean paste inside rather than the meat. It was pretty good! And when I look at this picture, the buns kinda look like tiny white rabbits huddled together…

I know… I’m weird… So does anyone know what this is called?

In other news… I’m addicted to Yui… Enjoy the MP3..!

Three Friends in Hong Kong…

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Mood: Surprised!!!

Three of my friends went to Hong Kong for a break. Now, a lot of people know that Hong Kong is the City of Hello Kitty; and those three know how much I love Hello Kitty..!

But I’d never thought when I asked them to send me pictures, they’d send me these :

Ahahaha! I hear that drink is actually Strawberry flavored milk. Surprisingly, they said it tasted really, really good!

That kinda looks like a different flavored Hello Kitty drink, no? These were pictures they took of each other back at the hotel. They said they were tired from a night of going around and about Hong Kong and decided to fool around and send me pictures to make me envious.

I certainly am envious now! Hmph… They better bring me a Hello Kitty Strawberry Milk when they get back or I’m not speaking to them anymore!

Hello Kitty Cafe in Hong Kong?

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

Mood: Perky

Some of my friends went to Hong Kong for a few days… They told me they heard about a Hello Kitty Cafe there, but didn’t have the time to actually go see it…

I got curious (as I usually am about everything ) and did not find a lot of things about a Hello Kitty Cafe in Hong Kong. I only found one photo so far:

From some of the reviews I’ve read, it’s a nice, clean cafe where the food is a mix of Japanese and Western dishes. It’s also not overly designed that the cafe looks like it’s for Hello Kitty lovers only… I’d hate to go there if it meant people woould tease me for being a Hello Kitty Fan.

From what I heard, the shop’s located at Shop 11, 2/F, The New Face By Sogo, 24-26 East Point Road in Hong Kong, China. You can call for reservations at +852 2890 9021, and they’re usually open from 10am-midnight.

If anyone can give me better pictures from this place, please do send me an email. I’d love to see more than a blurry picture. Hehe~

Hello Kitty Cafe (Philippines)

Monday, March 19th, 2007

Mood: Sad

I’ve looked up and around the internet to find pictures of the Hello Kitty Cafe that was once here in the Philippines. I got a bit sad that there were so few pics left of this cafe… It closed down a few years ago after all…

Here’s a Kello Kitty burger… That little red thing on the side is strawberry gelatin in the shape of Hello Kitty’s head..! Too cute to be eaten, no?

Ah, the Hello Kitty pasta. That same gelatin is there again, and of course, there’s Hello Kitty shaped pasta and the Hello Kitty tissues on the side.

Oh~~ The waffles were lovely! That’s strawberry syrup right there! How can you not love this cafe?

It’s really a mystery why it closed down though… I miss that place so much…

These ppictures aren’t mine by the way… I saved them in my PC a long time ago… I need to find that site and link it back here…
