Hello everyone! This is one of the rare non-PPV Sundays that I’ve written for. Let’s get to today’s stories!

TNA: Just so you know, the identity of the Elvis impersonator at last week’s PPV was former DSW announcer Nigel Sherrod.

iMPACT Aired Thursday, and in an odd twist began with what was supposed to be the main event! Samoa Joe retained the TNA championship against Kaz.

Later in the night, Samoa Joe and Booker T agreed that they respect each other, but as long as Booker T wants Joe’s belt, they are enemies. However, seeing that Booker T has to share a locker room with no lights and no doors with the rest of the wrestlers, Joe gave Booker T the keys to HIS room, saying he “won’t be needing it.” Booker T’s eyes lit up.

The TNA World Cup will be underway this year, and as such there were plenty of pre-cup preview matches. The first of which saw Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin win a fast paced, high flying match against Dragongate’s Masato Yoshino and Naruki Doi! The two teams were feirce during the bout, as each man bounced and flew, dazzling the crowd.

Participating teams mentioned Thursday were Team International, Team Mexico, Team Japan and Team TNA.

In a confusing bout that saw Jackie constantly grabbing Homicide and hitting him, and dumb ref Rudy Charles paying absolutely NO attention to his job whatsoever, LAX in a matter of minutes lost and then won back the tag team titles from James Storm and Bobby Roode. Due to the confusion, TNA Manegment has yet to decide whether or not to accept Storm and Roode’s brief win, or to write it off as fluke.

Gail Kim beat Velvet Sky. NEXT!!

During the taping, it was revealed that joining the TNA world X cup this year is Davari!! Davari quit WWE last year after not being treated fairly.

Representing Davari’s team (Team International), Alex Koslov beat Curry Man.

Sonjay ” I never tell anyone how I feel until it’s too dang late” Dutt defeated Consequences Creed, only to be attacked by an irate Jay Leathal. Jay ran Sonjay out of the ring, dropped his gimmick entirely, and challenged Sonjay to a match this upcoming week at the Pink Taco Club where Jay’s bachelor party was held. So Cal Val nodded in approval.

The main event saw Kurt Angle win over AJ Styles due to the fact that the refs at TNA can’t keep their DUMB SH** HEADS IN THE ****ING RING FOR MORE THAN 5 SECONDS. This was a lumberjack match, so afterwards all of the participating wrestlers lept into the ring for a brawl. But after things had gotten ugly, Abyss came out, just as peeved as the television viewers, and cleared the heels out.

However, earlier in the broadcast, Kurt Angle had promised that he had put a hit out of Karen Angle, and that someone would come get her. Sure enough, Karen tried to collect AJ, but Kurt met her in the ring. The cocky Karen offered Kurt a chance to hit her, but Kurt~knowing that the skiddish Spike TV censors wouldn’t allow it~ instead just stood back…. and let Amazing Kong handle Karen. 2 seconds later, Karen was layed out over AJ.

WWE: Mike Mondo has been released from his WWE contract. The former Spirit Squad member had been floating around in developmental for quite some time, and the release was announced via wwe.com.

SmackDown aired from Fresno, California Friday night and here are the highlights:

John Morrison def. Finlay NEXT!
Mark Henry def. Tommy Dreamer~ Why they keep sticking ECW talent on other shows, yet getting rid of  ECW originals on ECW is beyond me. Proir to the squash, Mark showed off a PhotoShop image of Big Show with two bad eyes.
Cherry def. Maryse~ GOOD GIRL!! Sorry, I just can’t help but like Cherry.
MVP def. CM Punk~ FIP match was brought up only because Punk teased Edge that at any time he can cash in his Money in the Bank match… even at Edge’s own wedding! Ha HA! MVP pulled quite the stunt, tossing the briefcase at Punk while ref Charles Robinson was distracted, making it look like Punk hit him with it. Thus, Punk was DQed.
U.S. Champion Matt Hardy def. Chuck Palumbo in a brutal match.
Jesse & Festus def. Deuce & Domino, afterwards Deuce and Domino began fighting each other, arguing over who wins more than the other.
And Batista def. The Great Khali. If Batista had lost, he would have been made unemployed. Mick Foley wisely pointed out that if Vickie keeps banning people, they might just end up with only Cousin Sal left!

Well that’s it for now. As always stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!
