WWE: SmackDown was weird, due to poor booking, following McMahon’s Monday night accident. Here are your results, in case you missed it:

Edge and HHH made attempts to cut promos. Edge got speared by Batista, as this was Batista’s last SmackDown.

Kane and Big Show beat MVP and Mark Henry, when MVP tried to run away, but Mark threw MVP in, yelling for Kane to KO him, even though Mark is Kane’s enemy.

Mick Foley updated fans that Melina has suffered a cracked heel, as a result of her fall on Raw. No word yet on how long she will be out.

Finlay and Hornswoggle laid waste to Ryder and Hawkins.

Somehow, Edge walked away with a win over Matt Hardy. Mick Foley was the only one smart enough to realize that Edge and EITHER Hardy Boy should NEVER go toe to toe, considering certain feelings.

Natalya, Victoria and Maryse beat Cherry (whose hair was down), Michelle McCool and Kelly Kelly.

In a dangerous singles match, Vladmir Koslov beat Domino. The two were almost evenly matched in every aspect imaginable, this was a match that could have gone either way! Domino had to be escorted out, due to the velocity at which Vladmir attacked him, but Vladmir did not walk away unscathed, as he was bleeding~albiet slightly~ from the forehead.

Rey met Hornswoggle backstage. At his request, Rey danced a jig for Hornswoggle, but was visably baffeled by the fact that at 5′3, he’s only half a head taller than lil’ Hornswoggle.

Rey Mysterio gave a heartwarming farewell speech, since he has been drafted to Raw. Batista came out, after Rey spoke in English and in Spanish of his affection for the fans. Batista greeted Rey with a smile and a hug, since he’s going to Raw as well. Awwwww!

Batista vs. Umaga went to a DQ, as La Familia got involved. But HHH came out, and Batista teamed with HHH to drop a few people.

TNA: Word has it that Kurt Angle has been working the last few Impact tapings with a banged up knee. Again. Kurt’s latest injury appears to be a combo of too heavy training, a bad day at home, and too many times P*ssing off ROH alimni AJ Styles and Samoa Joe~earlier this year. Never the less, you will most likely see Kurt this Thursday.

However, not appearing this month is Scott Steiner, who has ripped apart his ACL. The injury occured at the last TNA PPV, but Scott has been so jazzed, he really could NOT feel it! Scott will be out for at least several months. No word yet on what will happen with any backstage segments.

ROH: Just hours away from a STACKED card, that even features Honky Tonk Man and Jerry Lynn, one of the Chicago Sun-Times affiliates has an article mentioning tonight’s blowout! Check it out here: http://www.southtownstar.com/entertainment/firstlook/virtusio/1021967,062608ProWrestling.article

VOTE OFTEN!

WWE: JR threatened to quit over his move to SmackDown. Poor twit.

TNA: Impact’s Thursday night airing seemed slow in some spots, but ultimately offered quite a bit in the opening hour.

AJ Styles beat the daylights out of Consequences Creed. AJ had plenty of fight left in him, but wasn’t used much during the night.

Christian Cage defeated Brother Ray via DQ. Ray had announced at the start of the match that he wanted fans to stay put during the taping, since he was going to end Cage’s career. True to his word, after the match, Team 3D, Tomko and Johnny Devine put Cage through a GLASS TABLE!! Cage has recived several stitches since the taping, and even went into shock. Due to slow reaction times from security and the referees, Eric Young and Kaz had to help clean Cage’s blood up and escort him from the ring. No official word on his condition.

Karen Angle got harassed by… oh who cares. NEXT!

CMLL’s Rey Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero beat Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino.

Sonjay Dutt embarrassed himself further by soliciting little boys to dress up as Prince Ali (Disney’s Aladdin) in a “magic” prayer to make Val love him. At Val’s request, Jay Leathal beat Sonjay silly.

Amazing Kong beat the crap out of a random brunette from the crowd. After that, one of the tiny blonde things Kong beat up before came in from the crowd, and attacked Kong and Raisha. Security and Cornette escorted the girl out of the area, so she wouldn’t get a second beating.

In a hardcore “Bimbo beating match” with echoes of the original ECW smattered throughout, Mickie “Moose” Knuckles beat ODB.

Booker T accidently won a match against Kevin Nash via DQ, after Booker T whapped Samoa Joe with a chair, and then Joe got mad. (Dumb ref.)

The show closed with a shoving match between Joe and Nash. Nash was visably DRUNK during the WHOLE taping, slurring words and making no sense anyway.  Even if Joe had never even left the backstage area, Booker T was gonna win anyway, as Nash was unable to handle himself at all.

ROH: The new two part video wire is up at rohwrestling.com! What are ya doing here? Go watch, it’s important!! XP

Well that’s it for now. As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!

Hello everyone! There’s a smeuch of wrestling news, and the results of day one’s Sailormoon ballot poll, so let’s get to it!

Correction: Yesterday I posted that the McMahon accident was not scripted. However, new research has brought to light that the incident was planned, but the wrestlers, announcers and a good 3 quarters of WWE employees were NOT told AT ALL prior to said accident. However, even with planned incidents, injuries DO occur, and there is no update on Vince McMahon’s state at this time, other than he WAS present at a press conference backstage Tuesday afternoon. Although in a usual mood, Vince did clock himself in the head, during the accident, so at this time, it is unconfirmed if he suffered any injuries.

Sailormoon: In case you missed yesterday’s news, I am running a poll to decide the most popular “empowered” characters of Sailormoon. The winning characters will be featured on a new ballot to bring Sailormoon back to airwaves in your country. You can vote as much as you like by August 31st, 2008. WWE: Melina may have an ankle injury, stemming from her match at Monday’s Raw, but nothing has been confirmed, pending a check-up.

A second draft for low and mid card wrestlers takes place in a few hours, with the results made public this afternoon. Expect an update on this blog soon.

ECW was taped Monday, as the ECW roster will now travel with the Raw roster, instead of the SmackDown set. Vince McMahon informed talent of the move last week. At first, WWE personnal were unhappy with the decision, but Vince made  the decision so that the guys in the truck would have an extra day to edit Mike Adamle’s “commentary”.

Aaaaaaand edited ECW was Tuesday night…. POORLY. There were wild cuts made, terrible re-dubbing sequences where you could actually hear the original track underneath the new one, moves that were haphazardly spliced together, and all in all viewers were left with an episode that might as well have been labeled “DiC’s ECW”.

The only upgrade from whatever the original episode was, was that now Adamle’s voice was almost totally gone. However, this left Tazz speaking to dead air for the 39 minute episode, until Big Show joined Tazz during the main event.

Also, the booking team was AWOL for the entire broadcast, as RAW and SmackDown drafted wrestlers were present for 2 out of the four matches.

Matt Hardy and C.M. Punk, who were smiling openly and speaking about ROH, beat Miz and Morrison. Hornswoggle bugged Miz after the match.

In an awesome extreme rules match, Kofi Kingston beat Shelton Benjamin. The two traded aerial moves and hardcore weaponry throughout, dazzling spectators.

For no apperant reason AT ALL, Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne was squashed by Mike Knox.

Seriously, the name change, WHYEE? Here people at WWE, let’s say it together:

Matt S-eye-Dell. Matt as in whut wrestlers battle on. S as in “SssssssssssSSSS”. EYE as in whut u see with, and Dell as in komputer.

MATT SYDAL!!!

And finally, in an UGLY match, Mark Henry defeated Kane. No, I don’t know why.

ROH: Cary, if you’re reading this, I just wanna say THANK YOU! Ring of Honor is a superior product to TNA and WWE, and part of that is due to the fact that you and Gabe LISTEN to your fans AND your wrestlers. Also, Gabe as one man beats out TNA and WWE’s “booking team”, since Gabe can produce in a day what your competitors can’t seem to muster in a year. Thank you! Keep it up!

Well, that’s it for now. As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!

Okay people, send me your picks if you want Sailormoon back!

WWE: Monday’s three hour event was a heated occasion as anything that could have happened, HAPPENED.  All matches last night had a stipulation that whomever should win, wins a draft pick for his/her roster.

Here’s a rundown of the most important events:

First off, here are all of the draft picks for 2008 in order of drafting:

1. Rey Mysterio Jr. drafted to Raw. The 5’3 star shook hands with HHH during the live taping from the AT&T arena in San Antonio T.X.

2. C.M. Punk drafted to Raw.

3. Jeff Hardy drafted to SmackDown. One hour later, he teamed up with his older brother Matt, to face off against Miz and Morrison. Miz and Morrison cheated, and due to the stipulation of “Winner wins a random pick for his/her roster”…

4. Matt Hardy was drafted to ECW.

5. J.R. was drafted to SmackDown.

6. Michael Cole was drafted to Raw. (More on this below!)

7. Batista drafted back to Raw.

8. Umaga drafted to SmackDown.

9. Kane was drafted back to Raw.

10. Ken Kennedy was drafted to SmackDown.

11. Triple H was drafted to SmackDown.

Total draft score: 2 announcers + 3 belt holders + 1 injured list star + 5 non-title holding active wrestlers = 11 total trades.

Total amount of stars each brand received:

Raw: 1 announcer + 1 injured star + 1 belt holder + 2 non title wrestlers = 5

SmackDown: 1 announcer + 1 title holder + 3 non title wrestlers = 5

ECW: 1 title holding wrestler. = 1

Total amount each brand lost:

Raw: 1 title holder + 1 announcer + 3 non title wrestlers = 5

SmackDown: 1 announcer + 1 injured star + 1 title holder + 1 non title wrestler = 4

ECW: 1 title holder + 1 non title wrestler = 2*

(* Although Kane’s status was up in the air between SmackDown & ECW, Kane holds the ECW championship. Thus, Kane counts as ECW in this area.)

Yeah, it just sucks to be ECW.

All six announcers were present for Raw, and all six took turns, swapping partners during the broadcast. Here are the match results for each match:

HHH defeated Mark Henry.

Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes beat Chavo and Bam Neeley, after Hardcore Holly dropped Chavo into Lala land with an Alabama-SLAMMA!

Miz and Morrison beat The Hardy Boyz via a stupid ECW ref.

Vince McMahon gave away $100,000 to 5 people each, and then $500,000 to one lucky winner. Ric Flair was even there, and in one memorable segment, Khali joined Vince in giving away cash, but the first caller they tried hung up!

Vince had answered “Hello, this is Vince McMahon and Khali.”

The guy answered “Sorry, wrong number.” AND HUNG UP!!

Khali stood over the phone, and in plain English yelled “Wha De *uck??”

Another winner was actually IN THE CROWD when Vince called! YAY!
Jericho showed footage of HBK through the years screwing over Marty Janetty, Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan and various other talents. (No Bret.) Shawn, now sporting a pair of Band-Aids over his cut eye, ran down and girly punched Y2J, but
Jericho lobbed Shawn into the corner of the announcers’ table, possibly injuring Shawn further.

For match #4, Mickie James and Melina from Raw came out to square off against Natalya Niedhart and Victoria from SmackDown. For this match only, announcers were the only people up for grabs. (This woke everyone up!)

Adamle called Melina “Vickie” and Michael Cole had to correct him!

The match was cut short however, as Melina suffered a nasty spill. She had climbed up to the top rope, but was pushed off. She landed feet first, but her one knee buckled, and the other popped her in the face. The other three divas tumbled out for a brawl, but Mickie began screaming that Melina was hurt. The ref called the match as a double count out, and then EMT’s carried Melina away. As a result, Raw and SmackDown each got a random announcer pick. Cole went to Raw, as King stared into the screen, as if to say “NoooooooOOOOooo…” while Mick Foley and JR just glared at each other.

Cena beat Edge by a 10 count, after Edge blew Cena off. As a result, Edge cost Vickie Batista, who never wanted to leave SmackDown!

Tommy Dreamer lost a bout to MVP. Even Mick Foley was rooting for Tommy! MVP’s victory scored Umaga, who decimated Tommy and Colin Delaney for no reason.

JBL beat Kofi Kingston with an UGLY Clothesline from Hell.

In the main event, Team Raw (Kane, Punk, Batista, HHH and Cena) and Team ECW

(Matt Hardy, Chavo, Miz, Morrison,
Shelton) lost to team SmackDown.

(Edge, MVP, Mark Henry, Big Show, Jeff Hardy)

After the match, Vince announced the winner of the $500,000. But soon after this, one of the lights fell. The commentary ignored it at first, but then pyro went off. Vince tried to jump away, but he instead fell through the stage, as the bottom of the money podium fell through! Vince stood up, yelling that he was a-ok, but just then, the main stand with the dollar light up sign fell over him, knocking him down.

Triple H started screaming for Vince, as Edge and Cena ran to Vince’s aid. Cena started screaming for help, as Edge tried in vain to lift the heavy structure off. In moments, Heels, Faces, Tweeners and EMT’s worked together to lift the structure, just enough to let paramedics through.

Vince was unconscious for a few minutes, but as they pulled him out, he woke up. Vince looked around nervously, and then started screaming “PAUL?? PAUL??” which is HHH’s REAL name. Triple H just yelled to Vince to stay calm and keep his neck still. Vince then started screaming “I CAN’T FEEL MY LEGS!!”

The audio was cut, and soon the program ended abruptly. No WWE logo card.

At this time, there is NO word on Vince’s condition. WWE will release a statement in a few hours. Expect an update on my blog later today.

In case you were wondering, this was NOT storyline.

Okay, that does it for right now. As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!

Check out the episode where The Flesh plays tennis, in the background is the 1997 6” Rubeus doll from Irwin! Yes, a small sighting, but better than nothing. ^_~

WWE: Several Raw writers missed last week’s episode due to mixed messages. Half of the team had been told to show up for a Sunday taping at the wrong address, while Raw was actually live on Monday. As a result, chaos ensued throughout the whole two-hour taping, as matches were thrown in at random, and the main event became the first match up! In order to compress your reading time, I’ll separate the results and happenings for each show.

Raw: As noted, Raw was live.

John Cena beat Umaga in a street fight.

Maria won a bikini contest, hosted by Charlie Hass. NEXT!

Jeff Hardy beat Carlito.

RIC FLAIR RETURNED!!!

Y2J Chris Jericho had come out to blame the fans for his beating up Shawn and then tossing him into the Jeritron 5000. But when he challenged Shawn to come on out, a loud “WOOOOOOOOOoooooooo” was heard, and The Nature Boy himself, Ric Flair strutted down to ringside. After an emergency commercial break, Flair got into
Jericho’s face, and the audio picked up a confused
Jericho saying “How the *uck did you get in the building?” Flair reminded Y2J that Shawn can’t come out to play, since he’s not even at Raw. Flair then challenged Y2J to fight him in the parking lot!
Jericho followed… several feet behind Flair. But when
Jericho attempted to exit through the door behind Flair, HHH stepped up to
Jericho, and did the usual “Why not battle me” speech.
Jericho backed off. After another commercial break, Vince McMahon came backstage to remind Flair that he no longer works for Raw. Vince then had security escort Flair outside.

In the blink of an eye, Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly defeated Cryme Time, after JTG and Shad were distracted by Ted Dibiase Jr.

Paul Burchill and Katie Lea won in an UGLY match against Ken Kennedy and Mickie James.

Triple H won via DQ over
Jericho, after Lance Cade went insane, and jumped HHH for no apparent reason. Cena jumped in to help, but was squashed by Cade’s temper. Cade’s erratic actions and fluctuating body size may mean that a Wellness test is in his future.

ECW: Hornswoggle beat Armando Alejandro EstradaEvan Bourne soundly beat Matt Striker in a beautiful match, in which Evan used a shooting star press to score a victory, but for no real reason at all, Mike Knox came in and squashed the former ROH star.

Kofi Kingston defeated Mike Knox via DQ, after Shelton Benjamin barged in and attacked Kofi. Kofi was able to escape, but not without bruising.

C.M. Punk beat WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison for the 999th time, with the Go To Sleep. Poor Punk. He must be bored by now.

Also, Big Show and Kane came out to talk to each other about their match at Sunday’s PPV. However, Mark Henry interrupted them, to brag that he wants to challenge the winner. For his efforts, he was double choke slammed.

SmackDown:

Kane defeated M.V.P. after M.V.P. said that he was sick of seeing Vickie’s team. Kane really has nothing to do with this, but didn’t complain. Mark Henry attacked Kane afterwards. Henry =
Moron.

Matt Hardy beat Bam Neeley.

Because Referee Charlie Robinson had ejected Chavo from ringside during Bam’s bout, Charlie was forced into an UGLY match against Khali, who squished Charlie’s head. No word yet on Charlie’s condition. GET WELL SOON CHARLIE!!

Michelle McCool defeated Layla. NEXT!

Vladmir Koslov’s SmackDown winning streak went to 11-0 after beating Jamie Knoble.

NO FREAKING DUH, I KNOW. L

Deuce and Domino were scheduled to face off against Jesse and Festus, but the team from the wrong side of the tracks instead beat each other silly! Jesse and Festus scored the win, but not after screaming at Deuce and Domino to get back in the ring!

Batista defeated Chavo. Then La Familia came out. NEXT!

Don’t forget! Tonight is the WWE Brand draft. Yeah, I know this really won’t matter, since everyone pretty much wrestles where they please, but its 3 hours tonight!

TNA: PHEW! I thought I’d NEVER get here. LOL, anyway…

Booker T beat BG James.

Samoa Joe watched from the locker room, and was annoyed by Jeremy Borash’s ill thought comment that perhaps Joe went overboard last week when Kevin Nash belittled Joe in front of the entire crowd. Just as Joe was setting Jeremy straight, Kev walked in. Kev boasted that he’s beaten Booker T many times, but Joe reminded him that those matches were several years ago, the most notable one taking place when Booker T was still a rookie. Joe asked Kev, “if you’re SO good, why don’t YOU beat Booker now?” Kev sulked away.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin defeat Daivari and Tyson Dux in round one of the World X Cup tournament.

A.J. Styles during this match beat the daylights out of Tyson Tomko and Frank Trigg.

It was announced that LAX wants to sign the contract to a Fans’ Revenge Lumberjack match against Bobby Roode and James Storm.

Amazing Kong easily defeated a young wrestler named
Taylor.

Team 3D put Rhyno through a table backstage. Rhyno may be suffering from another concussion.

Kaz defeated Alex Koslov in an X Cup exhibition match.

Sonjay Dutt left Jay Lethal hanging at the Pink Taco for an hour before finally arriving for his beating. Prior to the assault, Sonjay tried reasoning with Jay, that Jay should forgive Sonjay, and that Sonjay wants So Cal Val to know that she really has been in love

with him (Sonjay) and not Jay. Jay then commenced to whooping Sonjay, beating him into walls, furniture, and anything else that was just hanging around. THIS FIGHT WAS AWESOME!!!

Jacqueline defeated
Salinas.

A.J. Styles and Christian Cage defeated Team 3D, but after the match, Kurt Angle put A.J. in an ankle lock.

ROH: Ring of Honor is currently in talks to trade talent for a few show with AAA! The notable Lucha Libre promotion has been wowed by Jack Evans and is interested in Bryan Danielson, asking ROH if they have any more. J Also, Brent Albright has made it a point to go out for Adam Pearce’s blood, stemming from Brent’s wise move out of Sweet N’ Sour Inc.

Well that’s it for now. As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!

The Rasslinkitty.

Hello everyone! Your week of wrestling results will be posted later this evening or early tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delay! In the meantime, let’s take a look back at a tiny promotion that flickered out too soon, yet left a profound impact on the wrestling world.

It was October, 2006. I was at a ROH show, just coming back from the change tables. (Still looking for an Abyss figure to this day.) I recall seeing Nigel McGuiness, Delirious, Pelle Primeau and some fans standing atop the bleachers. Somebody mentioned that Wrestling Society X was coming to MTV and had asked Nigel and Delirious if they were headed there. Nigel pretty much said that WSX could sod off at that point. He spoke about how he had flown out to the WSX tapings, only to be told “we want you, no… we don’t. WAIT we DO” and before anything got done, MTV had put a cap on the roster, leaving no room left for anyone else. Someone then asked Delirious about the tryout matches he had filmed with WSX before MTV got full of themselves. Delirious folded his arms and shook his head. The only English he chose to speak was this:

Mmm-mmm. No a good feeling about that.

To this day, I always trust wrestlers over reporters, as Delirious was right.

Soon after this, WSX made it’s long debut on MTV, however there was one immediate flaw that spelled out the promotion’s doom upon debut.

Some MORON decided to put Wrestling Society X on at the EXACT same time as ECW.

Now granted, the current WWECW is no place near the original, but even on a BAD day, ECW has more notable names than WSX had at the time. The week of WSX’s debut, they were going up against ECW’s Sandman, CM Punk, Tommy Dreamer and Balls Mahoney. Not to mention a superior commentary table of Tazz and Joey Styles.

It’s just BAD buisness sense to go head-to-head with the big bad wolf of the forest while you’re still in diapers. Wolves tend to munch toddlers like popcorn.

With that said, I had to wait for the afternoon replay the next day, in order to catch the stars of WSX.

I even petitioned MTV to move WSX to Wednesdays, since there would be no immediate schedule problems with other wrestling shows, and Wednesdays DESPERATELY NEED a wrestling show. MTV’s reply? To sum it up, their answer was something akin to:

“We need to add more competition to the televised wrestling scene. Our hip, new, edgy approach is to go head to head with the top spots of the “other guys” so that fans can choose the right future to follow.”

… Fans chose to watch the wolf snap the toddler up like so much popcorn. rather than assist WSX-chan.

MTV has never really understood wrestling, and that’s why shows such as “Sunday Night Heat” and “Tough Enough” were either cancelled or moved-THEN cancelled after only a few years on the non-music channel. MTV even moved WSX to all three MTV stations at one point, with the best showings of WSX having aired-English only- on MTV Tres. At 2 in the morning. Every other Tuesday~Wednesday and weekends at oogedy-boogedy o’clock in the a.m.

… Yep, the even took pictures of the wolf tossing WSX-chan in the air a few times in a teasing motion before ol’ Wolfy swallowed it whole.

Once the now infamous “Fireball” incident took place between Ricky Banderas and Vampiro, MTV had already began pulling the plug on the whole thing. WSX editors were even kind enough to replace the fireball with a DiC-edited-Sailormoon inspired “Ki Lightning attack” to make it more TVY7, but their fate was sealed. February 24, 2007, I went up to Chicago to the Windy City Fieldhouse for Samoa Joe’s last Chi-town ROH match. (COME BACK JOE!!) Greeting me at the door was a shivering young assistant with two other cohorts, handing me thick, glossy cards~ ads for WSX. Telling the truth, I smiled “Hey! I tape this show every week. :-)” The three WSX people sniffled and smiled. “Thank you! You’re the first one to watch consistently AND like it, and with no snide comments!!”

Later that night, the snow was piling up in a hurry. As wrestlers and fans alike started huddling up by the door, those same three WSX members handed anyone with a hand extra cards. The one dude of the three just shook his head, saying “Here, we all know we’re getting cancelled any second now, and these are thick. Use them to dig out your cars.” Looking behind me, Lacey, Jimmy Jacobs, and Matt Sydal were all nodding their achy heads, silently admitting that the WSX experiment was at an end. ROH wrestlers and fans each took cards, and we all shoveled ourselves and each other out of the snow. The Briscoe Bros. and ROH booker Gabe Saplosky even cleared out a small walkway for the fans, and everyone took turns clearing up the area. The WSX cards stood up to the bad weather quite nicely.

But for as short lived as WSX was, it did provide exposure for a small group of stars. Some of them returned to their fans at ROH and PWG, some etched out new paths, and some went to the tv teams that they fought so hard to take down:

Arik Cannon: Recently featured in DragonGate, Arik owns his own promotion, known as F1rst Wrestling. The cards are held on First Ave. in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Babi Slymm: Also known as Tony Drake, Slymm is in a tag team with Cyber Kong in the DragonGate promotion in Japan.

6-Pac: X-pac recently participated at the XPW reunion show just a few weeks ago. He is also on leave from AAA in Mexico, where until recently he would be escorted to the ring by fiancee Alicia Webb aka Ryan Shamrock.

Delikado: Also known worldwide as B-boy, is sadly retiring. The former student of Christopher Daniels, B-boy (age 29) is currently rehabbing a torn ACL.

Disco Machine: Currentley retired, though he makes an occasional appearance.

El Hombre Blanco Enmascarado: The wrestler also known as Quicksilver has not been back in the ring since 2007, due to a severe concussion. He was last seen in PWG.

Chris Hamrick: The former ECW star also wrestled for TNA two years before his cameo match for WSX was filmed. He was last seen on television last August as the fake HHH, placing a crown on Booker T’s head.

Genki Horiguchi: Currently wrestling in DragonGate with the heel stable Muscle Outlaw’z. His younger brother Hiromi is working for Toryumon Mexico.

Human Tornado: Human Tornado scored a small, one match role in the film “Nacho Libre”, playing the part of El Snowflake. Since the end of WSX, he has wrestled for Juggalo Championship Wrestling, CZW and Ring of Honor. Part time to this day with Ring of Honor, Human Tornado was sidelined by a torn ACL and a dislocated knee cap. He will be out for the rest of the year.

Jack Evans: Currently on leave of absense from ROH, Jack has formed a new tag team with Teddy Hart in AAA. The duo, known as The Hart Foundation 2, are currently wowing fans and angering other luchadors, since Jack gets ALL of the women. Jack still makes trips to Japan as well. Jack’s flips and pretzel like moves are causing the older, slower luchadors to rethink their training and beef up their repitiore.

Aaron Aguilera: The former bodyguard of Carlito in WWE, Aaron is doing quite well for himself.  He has made apperances on Mind of Mencia, Faking it, and is also a trainer on Trick my Trucker. Currently, his is a bright star in All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he wrestles under a mask as ZODIAC.

Jimmy Jacobs: Jacobs eventually did get Lacey. Shortly afterwards, he formed The Age of the Fall. However, Jacobs went mad and has tried to kill the Briscoe Bros. on more than one occasion. Jacobs recruits outcast wrestlers who wouldn’t fit in most other places, and frequently sent Lacey ahead to get the message across to potential members. However, this plan backfired and Lacey dumped Jacobs for Austin Aries. Furious and sad, Jacobs stabbed Mark Briscoe, who had diddly squat to do with this!! Jacobs now carries a pimp spike with him, and scares other ROH employees~including his own team. Jacobs is set to face Austin in Chicago on June 28th.

KAOS: Still wrestling on the indy scene, he made a brief appearance on WWE Raw in a squash match against Snitsky.

Joey Ryan: A jack of all trades and certified hero to oucast and asthmatic fans alike, Joey wrestles, writes and books for PWG as one of the company’s six owners! Joey also made an apperance earlier this year, being KO’ed on SmackDown in a handicap match against Big Show. Joey is aslo a Rabbi.

Josh Raymond: Josh Ambercrombie still wrestles for various indy places all over the midwest. He is an active member on the PWO roster and you can catch up on his latest happenings on my blog every third weekend.

Luke Hawx: Still wrestling with various indy companies, Luke has been in two SmackDown squash matches, Three 6 Mafia’s “Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)” video, and has recently filmed a new movie called “The Dead Sleep Easy”.

Matt Classic: Colt Cabana left ROH in 2007 for a WWE developmental contract. Currently, he is being misused in FCW against his will.

M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross: M-Dogg is a full time PWO wrestler, though is currently out due to a sprained groin. Like his fans, he hates Johnny Gargano. M-Dogg is gymnastically trained, and I think he would make a great Ninja Warrior competitor, due to his abilities.

Matt Sydal: Matt left ROH in 2007, for a WWE contract. After several months in OVW and FCW, Matt debuted on ECW against Shelton Benjamin. After wowing audiances, he suffered a name chance to “Evan Bourne” and was repackaged against his will. He beat the daylights out of Matt Stryker, Tuesday.

Nate Webb: Spyder was last seen in CZW.

New Jack: Retired again, New Jack still makes occasional apperances.

Justin Credible: Still wrestles on the independant circut.

Puma: After years of bouncing from place to place, Puma has found a home in PWG.

Ricky Banderas: Now known as Mesias, he had a brief stint in TNA, but currently works for AAA, fretting over Vampiro, who never forgot the fireball incident. At least he’s stopped bugging Cibernetico…

Ruckus: Currently in ROH, Ruckus has had new life breathed into him, as he is now a part of the Vulture Squad. The former CZW star now finds himself with BLK OUT still clammering for his services. Ruckus’s new moveset is similar to Molly Holly.

Scorpio Sky: Though full time with PWG, he was recently at ECW a few weeks ago, cleaning out Armando’s office for Teddy Long.

Teddy Hart: Teddy spent a few loooooooong months teaming with his cousins D.H. Smith and Natalya Niedhart as the new Hart Foundation, but left OVW after an altercation verbally with an idiot writing team. Today, Hart now works for AAA, teamed with Jack Evans, accepting any honeys Jack doesn’t have time for. Teddy is also a father.

Tyler Black: Now a member of The Age Of The Fall, Tyler has improved quite a bit since his WSX tenure, and currently holds the ROH tag belts with Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs, acting as both a friend and older brother figure to Tyler, has trusted Tyler with main blog duties at ageofthefall.com. Tyler is the only one who can bring Jacobs back to Planet Earth during his spirals, and often is the first one to let the other Age Of The Fall members know, it’s gonna be okay.

Vampiro: Recently returned to AAA in a higher up role. Mesias has tried to kill Vampiro in the past, but it only makes Vampiro angry.

Masato Yoshino: Currently fighting for the TNA World X CUP with Naruki Doi, representing DragonGate!

Nic Grimes: Sara Del Ray was the first SHIMMER champion, but lost the belt back in April to MisChif. Sara is a reluctant member of Sweet N’ Sour Inc. and may return to single competitor status if Larry Sweeney doesn’t learn to shaddup soon.

This by no means is a complete list of WSX members, but serves as a small guide to the main stars of the 10 episode experiment. Lost in the shuffle, the show might have lasted, had it been picked up by G4 or some other “out of the box and stay out” network.

Last Christmas, I surprised my younger brother with the WSX DVD set that I bought from rohwrestling.com. He watches it from time to time, remembering the late night taping sprees as I would tape the censored episodes on any tape I could find. Though WSX fell early, the impact is felt worldwide. The wrestlers who wrestled quietly under the radar for so long are now spoken of in PWI every month and on websites every day. It just goes to show that even the tiny efforts of a few can benefit the masses. Learn from every mistake.

Hello everyone! This is one of the rare non-PPV Sundays that I’ve written for. Let’s get to today’s stories!

TNA: Just so you know, the identity of the Elvis impersonator at last week’s PPV was former DSW announcer Nigel Sherrod.

iMPACT Aired Thursday, and in an odd twist began with what was supposed to be the main event! Samoa Joe retained the TNA championship against Kaz.

Later in the night, Samoa Joe and Booker T agreed that they respect each other, but as long as Booker T wants Joe’s belt, they are enemies. However, seeing that Booker T has to share a locker room with no lights and no doors with the rest of the wrestlers, Joe gave Booker T the keys to HIS room, saying he “won’t be needing it.” Booker T’s eyes lit up.

The TNA World Cup will be underway this year, and as such there were plenty of pre-cup preview matches. The first of which saw Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin win a fast paced, high flying match against Dragongate’s Masato Yoshino and Naruki Doi! The two teams were feirce during the bout, as each man bounced and flew, dazzling the crowd.

Participating teams mentioned Thursday were Team International, Team Mexico, Team Japan and Team TNA.

In a confusing bout that saw Jackie constantly grabbing Homicide and hitting him, and dumb ref Rudy Charles paying absolutely NO attention to his job whatsoever, LAX in a matter of minutes lost and then won back the tag team titles from James Storm and Bobby Roode. Due to the confusion, TNA Manegment has yet to decide whether or not to accept Storm and Roode’s brief win, or to write it off as fluke.

Gail Kim beat Velvet Sky. NEXT!!

During the taping, it was revealed that joining the TNA world X cup this year is Davari!! Davari quit WWE last year after not being treated fairly.

Representing Davari’s team (Team International), Alex Koslov beat Curry Man.

Sonjay ” I never tell anyone how I feel until it’s too dang late” Dutt defeated Consequences Creed, only to be attacked by an irate Jay Leathal. Jay ran Sonjay out of the ring, dropped his gimmick entirely, and challenged Sonjay to a match this upcoming week at the Pink Taco Club where Jay’s bachelor party was held. So Cal Val nodded in approval.

The main event saw Kurt Angle win over AJ Styles due to the fact that the refs at TNA can’t keep their DUMB SH** HEADS IN THE ****ING RING FOR MORE THAN 5 SECONDS. This was a lumberjack match, so afterwards all of the participating wrestlers lept into the ring for a brawl. But after things had gotten ugly, Abyss came out, just as peeved as the television viewers, and cleared the heels out.

However, earlier in the broadcast, Kurt Angle had promised that he had put a hit out of Karen Angle, and that someone would come get her. Sure enough, Karen tried to collect AJ, but Kurt met her in the ring. The cocky Karen offered Kurt a chance to hit her, but Kurt~knowing that the skiddish Spike TV censors wouldn’t allow it~ instead just stood back…. and let Amazing Kong handle Karen. 2 seconds later, Karen was layed out over AJ.

WWE: Mike Mondo has been released from his WWE contract. The former Spirit Squad member had been floating around in developmental for quite some time, and the release was announced via wwe.com.

SmackDown aired from Fresno, California Friday night and here are the highlights:

John Morrison def. Finlay NEXT!
Mark Henry def. Tommy Dreamer~ Why they keep sticking ECW talent on other shows, yet getting rid of  ECW originals on ECW is beyond me. Proir to the squash, Mark showed off a PhotoShop image of Big Show with two bad eyes.
Cherry def. Maryse~ GOOD GIRL!! Sorry, I just can’t help but like Cherry.
MVP def. CM Punk~ FIP match was brought up only because Punk teased Edge that at any time he can cash in his Money in the Bank match… even at Edge’s own wedding! Ha HA! MVP pulled quite the stunt, tossing the briefcase at Punk while ref Charles Robinson was distracted, making it look like Punk hit him with it. Thus, Punk was DQed.
U.S. Champion Matt Hardy def. Chuck Palumbo in a brutal match.
Jesse & Festus def. Deuce & Domino, afterwards Deuce and Domino began fighting each other, arguing over who wins more than the other.
And Batista def. The Great Khali. If Batista had lost, he would have been made unemployed. Mick Foley wisely pointed out that if Vickie keeps banning people, they might just end up with only Cousin Sal left!

Well that’s it for now. As always stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!

The Rasslinkitty

Hello everyone! This has been one odd week and it’s only Wednsday! Let’s get to today’s top stories.

In Memoriam: Just moments after Sunday’s TNA PPV Slammiversary, when the wrestlers had been cleared from ringside and crews began taking down the set, a scaffold hit and killed TNA crew member Kevin Sinex. Police and TNA manegment are still investigating the incident as of press time. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim.

Suspension: Former WCW and ROH star Jimmy Wang Yang has been suspended 30 days by WWE for wellness policy violations. No word yet on wheather or not He really did break code or if WWE’s just making up excuses for getting rid of popular talent again.

WWE: Raw saw plenty of tense action… most of which was anxious fans waiting for a phonecall from Vince McMahon. Here’s a rundown of events from Monday:

Mr. Kennedy beat Paul Burchill, but was slapped by Katie Lea afterwards and then dropped on his neck by Burchill.

After several hang ups and an answering machine, one lucky fan won $200.000!

Mickie James beat Beth Phoenix. Beth then beat on Mickie. Melina came down. Melina beat Beth. Melina leaves.

Another lucky fan won $75.000!

Later in the night, Charlie Hass came out to help Vince with the next lucky winner. At first, the caller was given $50.000 for giving the password. Vince then said that the caller would win more money if Charlie kissed a diva. Charlie agreed and got to kiss Maria! (Jackie must be upseeeeeet….) The Vince said he’d up it by another $25.000 if Charlie kissed another one. Charlie agreed, and the diva he got to kiss was….. Mae Young!! The winner recived $125.000 for Charlie’s kissin’.

John Cena won a grueling match against JBL. As the match played out, HHH sat at ringside. Whenever Cena got close to the table, HHH stood up, and a lone fan sitting behind HHH would scream “SIDDOWN TRIPLE H!!” This came in clear on my television set. :-) After the match, Cena stood on the commentary booth, and HHH tripped him.

Another lucky fan won $98.000!

Shawn Michales was the guest on Y2J’s highlight reel. Jericho wanted to know why if Shawn’s a big fat whiney liar do fans still cheer him, yet even though Y2J is a face and does EVERYTHING the fans tell him to do does he get booed.

This was a brief segment, as the two began brawling, Y2J quickly got and held onto the upper hand, told Shawn that the worst was yet to come, and then introduced Shawn’s head to the Jeritron 5000 that was hanging on the set. Shards o’ tee-vee set went everywhere as a tweener Jericho left a tweener Shawn in shambles.

Snitsky and Umaga beat Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly in a non-title match. Afterwards, Ted Dibiase JR taunted the tag champs.

One caller only won $2.00. But WWE.com reports that the same caller will recieve a trip to New York as a consolation prize.

A second caller won $200.000 and had to be bleeped out for saying a four letter word out of excitement! oops! ;-)

Cryme Time  beat Carlito and Santino, and then helped McMahon give away $51.998. Vince teased that if the caller got it wrong, Cryme Time would get it. The caller got it right and JTG fell backwards onto the floor.

Jeff Hardy beat HHH via countout when Cena pulled HHH away from the ring. Jeff then landed on both of them, since even Jeff’s sick of the same lame Cena vs. HHH match again.

The show closed with one lucky fan winning $250.000!

Onto ECW!!

EVAN BOURNE????? Yes ladies and gentlemen, Even Bourne is the new name for Matt Sydal. Why the name change is unknown at this time, but on the plus side, Evan/Sydal teamed with Kofi Kingston to beat Mike Knox and Shelton Benjamin.

Teddy Long has a new woman named “Tiffany”

Victoria beat Kelly Kelly via ref stoppage. Victoria had pushed Kelly off of the ring, during Kelly’s failed attempt at a Hurracanrana. During the match, Tazz was giggling, because Victoria called Kelly “Barbie Girl” to wit Mike Adamle’s voice then trailed off as he began reminicing with Tazz over his Barbie collection. Tazz sat quietly while Adamle spoke about playing with his box of Barbie dolls.

:D Moving on…

Armando Alejandro Estrada was sent into three matches.

First, Finlay beat him.

Then Colin came out, and Finlay whapped Estrada’s leg, so that all Colin needed to do was pin him. Which, he did, sucessfully.

Then Hornswoggle won via Tadpole Splash and then a pin.

After the match, the three winners danced, but Colin got thwapped by Finlay for stealing Hornswoggle’s hat.

Mark Henry called out Big Show, then turned chicken and wished ‘Show an early congrats for if he wins at the PPV.

Miz and Morrison won an ugly match against Kane and C.M. Punk, a match marred severly by Punk having blown out his rib in a freak accident. He had lobbed himself at Miz on the outside, but Miz’s shoulder gave out on him, and as he fell, Punk’s body flew in the air, landing rib first near the steel steps. This match was UGLY, did I already type that?

ROH: Chicago fans LISTEN UP!! Jerry Lynn will attend the June 28 show in Chicago Ridge and will be in action against Nigel McGuiness!! You do NOT wanna miss this. XD Also, ROH is having a buy three get one FREE DVD sale on all ROH DVDs! If you wanna introduce yourself or a friend to Ring Of Honor, then this is a great way to start.

Well that’s it for now. As always stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!
