Hello everyone! There was some scary news for Sailormoon fans, and some oddball wrestling notes, so let’s get to it!
Sailormoon: Okay, don’t be alarmed, but there is a new version of a virus that has Sailor Moon in the name. It’s the Die Hard 2 Unbeatable Sailor Moon virus. Everyone head on over to http://www.shinyshiny.tv/2008/04/top_10_virus_na.html for details. Also, the bottom of the page has a spot for comments, if you want to post your outrage that the name of Sailormoon is being tarnished! Codename Sailor Earth from Moon Sisters has already posted.
WWE: Smackdown made me hurl (for real) this week! During the two hour broadcast, which was preempted in some markets this week, Edge and Vicky were spotted at a beauty salon, to get Edge’s mind off of getting his butt kicked by Undertaker at WM24. The two enjoyed matching peticures, Strawberry Fields Forever toenail polish (yes, Edge did this), massages, facial masks, and even grossed out Teddy Long, by attempting to make him guard them in the dark as they got carnal. Teddy walked out, furious as I headed to the Great Porcelin Genie in the bathroom for a lengthly conversation. This is why I tape it every week. In other news, Undertaker decimated Festus in the main event. Jesse watched from the outside, but was unable to teach Festus how to tap out. Festus passed out due to ‘Taker’s triangle hold. Since referee Charlie Robinson had passed out after an accidental hit earlier on, it was Jimmy Corderas who rang the bell. After the match, Jesse laid his body out fearfully over Festus, and begged ‘Taker to leave Festus be, and ‘Taker obliged, only doing his beloved dark pose. Vladmir Koslov defeated indy star Matt Logan~ and this is week two that they turned the lights, screen and music OFF on Vladmir, Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang lost to Miz and Morrison, Matt Stryker lost a hillarious match to Finlay~ as Hornswoggle soaked and streamered Stryker during the match, and even hit him with a blowup schleighleigh (which you can buy at wweshopzone.com) before Stryker succumbed to Finlay’s REAL beatin’ stick. Matt Hardy beat Chuck Palumbo in an impossibly hard match, Victoria beat Michelle McCool, after Michelle was distracted by Natalia (Nattie) Niedhart, daughter of Jim “The Anvil” for you newbies out there. Natalia is an indy sensation with a beautiful bod, and now joins Cherry and Beth Phoenix as women wrestlers whom are blonde, but have normal, healthy figures. Hopefully they will start a trend of smart girls who eat right!
Also, in an uncomfortable moment, SmackDown had started, after Khali was shoved out to the ring, in a psuedo “peace offering” for Big Show. Khali offered Big Show a chicken, a goat, some scotch, and some holy water. Big Show thanked Khali for the genorosity, shook his hand, but since the two have always wanted it, Big Show hit Khali, initiating their match for Backlash. In another uncomfortable moment, Batista and Shawn had another arguement, venting secrets that some fans may not have known about them. After the argument closed, Shawn attempted to superkick Batista, but Batista ducked, weaved, grabbed Shawn’s head, went to lift him up, but Shawn weaseled his way out.
Oddly enough, SmackDown aired from Boston Mass. The same spot TNA’s Lockdown PPV is set to air from tonight! Coincidence? I think not…
In other non-SmackDown news, Torrie Wilson updated her blog recently, and is contemplating retirement, due to a nagging back pain.
TNA-ROH: Do not try to adjust your browser, you DID read that right. ROH held a Boston show last night (again with Boston? Hmm…) and to everyone’s surprise, sitting in the crowd were Homicide and Christopher Daniels!! However, as they were greeted by ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky, who should also be in attendance but DIXIE CARTER!!! (Lightning crashes) Gabe, being a gentleman greeted all three during the evening.
ROH: At the Boston show, Erick Stevens won a title shot, set for that evening, after beating Roderick Strong, El Generico and Rocky Romero in a four corner match. Erick later lost in the title match to Nigel McGuiness. Jason Blade defeated Michael Nakazawa, Eddie Edwards beat Jigsaw, and then embarasseed himself by joining Sweet n’ Sour Inc., Jack Evans and Ruckus scored a miracle win over the Briscoes, Claudio Castagnoli, Delirious and Pelle Primeu beat the snot out of Brent Albright, Larry Sweeney and Chris Hero, Davey Richards defeated newcomer Kouta Ibushi, and Kevin Steen made Necro Butcher tap like Shirley Temple, after locking his legs in a sharpshooter over barbed wire!!
WEW: In an update from last week’s news, Shimmer girls Lacey and Rain were defeated by Sumie Sakai and Annie Social, after Lucyfer helped Lacey botch a move. (Oops!!) Former TNA starlet Sirelda, now known as Butch, faced off against “Prime time” Amy fn’ Lee. (Not the singer.) The match started off ugly and sloppy, but the outcome will NOT be known until next week, as they went off the air! Hey, WEW? I got a suggestion for ya. If you really want people to take you seriously, then please… QUIT IT WITH THE LAME “MUSIC” VIDEOS, Pu-LEEEEEAAAAZE! That’s a good 10 min. that SHOULD be going to a WRESTLING match! C’mon people, help your fanbase out here.
Mixed Media: Jesse “The Body” Ventura scared the closed minded Sean Hannity this week, on his radio show. Topics included the election, abortion and 2001. You can read a report on the incident here: http://impactwrestling.com/Content.aspx?ID=17598
Well that’s that for now. I have a Doctor Who marathon to catch up on. By the way, new season starts Friday on SciFi, so be sure to have an extra tv on hand, so you can catch SmackDown and Doctor Who, as Kylie Minogue is gonna be on! (She kisses David Tennant!) Sarah Jane Mysteries and Torchwood are good catches too!
As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!
