Hello everyone! Just a few notes today.
Sailormoon: So far so good on the campaign. A few pranksters reported Sailormoon debuting on BBC 7 in the UK, but that rumor was squashed. Just a bunch of April Fool’s Day enthusiasts. Sorry! If you really want to make an impact, remember to click on my “How To Save Sailormoon” link on the blogroll and spread the word!
WWE: ECW opened with a video of The Big Red Machine chokeslamming himself to victory at WM24. And as the video showed Kane raising his arms up high, he brings them down, and the video morphs into Tuesday’s live taping! (Very cool effect!) Kane walked to the ring, as fans gave Kane a standing ovation, cheering the man who broke Ultimate Warrior’s Wrestlemania record. Warrior beat Hunter Hearst Helmsley (Triple H) at WM12 in 1:36 whereas Kane defeated Chavo at 8 seconds on the button! As Kane smiled, CM Punk made a surprise ECW appearance, holding high the MITB title shot he won. Kane remarked “Looks like you had a good night too Sunday.” Which got cheers from the crowd. But before Punk could explain why he was out there, Chavo inturrupted. Punk congratulated Chavo on becoming the fastest WM loser in the history of the event. Crowd laughed. Chavo and Shelton Benjamin (whom had nothing else to do with his time) would later lose to Punk and Kane in a high energy tag team match. Also on ECW’s card was Mike Knox beating Stevie Richards by using sloppy tactics. Knox frequently attempts high profile moves, but often times leans too much to thr right, as he did with his not-so-clean version of a Jackhammer. If Knox continues, he may still win matches, but at the cost of severe injury, like a torn rotator cuff.
Also, to update on yesterday’s pyro note, WWE has identified Zenith pyro as the suppliers of the fireworks display that injured and scared 45 people at WM24. No word yet on any action that may be taken.
TNA: Summer is looking good for the company, as TNA iMPACT for the Wii is set to debut in a little over a month from now. Booker T has been added, and so has The Monster’s Ball match!
ROH: After a few weeks in strike-style exlie, Chris Hero will return to the ring April 11th, as Sweeney is caught in a bitter feud with Claudio, which has been steadily escalating for over a year. But although Hero will return to Sweeney’s aid, Sara Del Ray has taken an extended leave of abcense, stemming from an earlier incident, in which Sweeney embarassed himself by publicly humiliating the beloved Allison Danger.
Well that’s it for now. As alway, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!
